  1. Enteraining thread...A lightsaber does not make a jedi, anyone can use a lightsaber. Being force sensitive doesn't make you a jedi, or a sith. Someone said it already and it was a good point, the Jedi Order is a religious group. Being a Jedi means that you believe in the Jedi code and serve in the Jedi Order. Anyways, if we did have saber attacks, what would they be? I think since our force attacks are just different variations of unleashing the force in a telekinetic form, THEN why not have a saber throw? You shroud your saber in the glow of the force and hurl it at your enemy, doing devastating damage based on your willpower/power/force power etc. What else? A saber ward type ability? Like in The Force Unleashed II when you use force fury and Starkiller held his lightsabers at a short distance with the force, and they hovered around him. The ability could yield extra defensive capabilities? Damage reflection? Short range saber attacks not based on strength? It could allow for heals to not be set back or interrupted during the spell duration? Or an added strength to heals due to both hands being free, possibly allowing our sages to focus better for a short time? A saber strike that is projected outwards with the force? Meaning the swing of the saber releases a blade-like shape of force at the target. The closer the target the more damage? I'm kinda getting the image of blade storm in my head but I am not trying to mimic it. Idk, that's all I could come up with off the top of my head. Overall I would really like to see the sage have some more lightsaber action. I mean....what's the point of having it whipped out if you're not gonna swing it around a bit xD. Oh, kinda off topic but I think having a force jump would be awesooooome, because sometimes....most of the time...force speed just isn't enough when resolve is broken and I can be pulled, leaped to, pushed, leaped to, pulled, ETC! Sages really don't have crap in terms of defensive utility.
  2. I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet, that the war hero gear for a sage LOOKS LIKE CRAP! I will say though that the robe of deception I believe it is called, from red reaper looks pretty cool.
  3. I with ya man, though I will let you in on something. First off though, I have a sentinel as my second character, sage as my first. I LOVE my sentinel, though I PVE with him primarily. So many offensive and defense abilities and not to mention the incredible amount of CC we can dish out. I think it's OP. The sentinel, heck the knight in general, can be difficult to get away from and defend against. You will rarely ever come out of the battle alive if you drag it out. We have the broken ability to kill ourselves if we run out of force. Sentinels, especially watchmen, get stronger as the fight goes on. My advice, learn to use your strafe keys. Also, and I wish I had done is sooner, zoom your camera out so you can see a good portion of the battlefield. Slow them, kite them, break the line of sight consistently. Be extra careful with your CC break. If you can not get an ally to help you out, find an opening in their interrupts and force lift them. Then run the hell away xD. Use your environment, use your force speed. Force speed is awesome, I hate not having it on my other classes. Pull someone to you if you must, in order to help you. There are many ways to counter, you just have to find one that works best for you. Hope this helps
  4. Same thing happened to me. I thought there was gonna be this big fight. Howeveeerr, when it started, my friend and I both attacked him and all of a sudden it was the cutscene that happens after the battle. It's a strange bug!
  5. In terms of question #1, I am not sure. Perhaps OP? I usually get top heals in warzones but idk. Question 2: I am all the way up in the Seer tree, with a few points in the other trees for extra willpower, reduction in force cost, increase in total force and extra force armor absorption. The problem I have with my tree is why do we have a bonus to accuracy in a healing tree? That's useless to us. Also, again why do we have a bonus to presence? It's useless, the extra healing isn't though. Force management isn't very viable with NS, and not having any survivability utilities like the other healing classes do is difficult to deal with at times.
  6. Hey everyone, I've been curious about how other sages are doing in ranked warzones. I started out as a dps sage, though I am usually a healer, and have since that switched back. As a dps it wasn't so bad, I was dealing some decent numbers. I went a hybrid AoE spec, even getting the 10% buff to AoE damage in the seer tree. It was experimental, but it did produce some high numbers. As a healer, I still put out some pretty high numbers as well. Unfortunately they were mostly on myself....I was getting burned down so quickly, could rarely ever use a heal with a cast bar, and it was even more rare that it did not get interrupted. Other healing classes have heavier armor AND more of a survivability mechanic, like the scoundrel having uninterruptible heals, the trooper having reactive shield. What do we have? A mechanic that sacrifices health to restore a little bit of force? That's crap. Also, kinda random and off topic but can someone tell me the BW logic behind giving us accuracy in the seer tree? Clairvoyance: Increases bonus healing by 2% and chance to hit with all abilities by 1%.
  7. LOL! Dude, if they implemented what you are suggesting, I would be unkillable. Unless I had maybe three, at the least, dps attacking me. And I mean dps, not a healer or tank attacking me, pure dps. We already receive an extra 8% if you spec into it. Which yeah, isn't much I know. Though I do agree there should be something added to our class. We are simply a healer/dps class that depending on what we spec into, can produce some high numbers. BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT! We have no mechanic, except for some crappy self-sacrifice mechanic to restore our force, BY A LITTLE BIT! We have the least survivability of any class in the game. Some may say to themselves, that with all those healing numbers we can keep ourselves alive. Well that isn't the case. I can barely stand still to even cast a spell that requires a cast time, in ranked at least. I could go on for days, but I'll stop there.
  8. Yo, my server of Jung Ma had a loooot of other players transfer to us and most of what I have seen in the warzones is the sith warriors. I am a seer sage and I think kiting even one is impossible because of all the CC they have, and the jump. But more times than not I have at least two constantly targeting me and beating the crap out of me. They have one attack that does about 5.7k, which is just effin ridiculous. I am at a loss of what to do against this, any advice? I do use strafe and my knockback, slow, etc, but what else is there to do?
  9. Honestly the only difference is PVP and PVE is that PVP requires a lot more moving around and health awareness. With PVE, the time to use deliverance can be much more anticipated. Depending the the PVE content, try standing with your ranged and cast salvation on them and yourself. Bubble, bubble, bubble. But only use the bubble on the tanks and people who are taking the most damage. Like, don't place force armor on a ranged who is taking little or no damage. It's just force efficient. Can't rly think of anything else, unless you need specific advice on a specific boss or somethins.
  10. My rotation is: Force Armor -> Rejuvinatw -> Salvation -> Mend Wounds(Cause it's an instant heal) -> Healing Trance -> Benevolence OR Deliverance Salvation doesn't always have to be used third though of course. Also I know that at first Deliverance seems pretty useless. But you gotta get used to the changes that have been applied to it. Don't use it if the target is at or below 50% health, this is if you are in a combat situation. If you think you can get the heal off without them dying, than do it. If you can pop a force potency to guarentee a crit than do it! Because with the poor changes made to conveyance, a critted benevolence will do just about as much as a non-critted deliverance. Used Healing Trance on cooldown. Watch your force, try to use Noble Sacrifice when you have the Healing Trance proc and try to only use it when you are above 90% or so health. If you are desperate for force, spam it and use a health pack or grab a health node in a pvp warzone if it is available. Gear wise I have full battlemaster and a war hero piece for PVP. For PVE I have some rakata gear and the rest columni. Try and stack power as much as you can, as well as expertise. If you have an augment slot, do not put willpower in there. Put power. I use two relics, one with a power proc, the other with crit.surge. Thinking of having two power procs. you'll get more hps than with something like Relic of Residual Mending. If you are just starting out than having your matrix cube is a very good idea. Other than that, try to force armor people as much as possible, keep out of sight out of mind. Use strafe when getting attacked, DO NOT PRESS THE BACKWARDS KEY WHILE BEING ATTACKED. Or try not to, it took me some time to grow used to not doing that. Can't think of anything else at the moment. Good luck!
  11. Learning to adapt to new game mechanics is just an aspect of gaming. I am not saying that I agree with the changes 100% though. And I say this from purely a PvP perspective. I specced a lot more into seer than pre 1.2. I do not have the extra percentage to force armor anymore, though I do love having it. I have my weaken mind slow my targets and have force armor increase speed by 20% for three seconds after cast. Why? Well in my PvP experience I learned that movement speed is more important than most people tend to believe. Kiting for a healer is an extremely important skill to have. Those added abilities help me to do that. As for Deliverance, I can never use it in PvP. Even if I did use an alacrity adrenal or relic it will only go down to a two second cast time. It can not, most of the time, keep up with the damage that can occur within two seconds. It is probably the most easily interruptible spell in the game lol. Benevolence I tend to avoid using in my rotation if I can. I do this because the force cost for it is a little too high in my opinion, and it really doesn't heal that much even with a crit. A little over 2500 or around that area for me at least, and I am pretty well geared with battlemaster pieces. The gear bonuses from Force Mystic allow me to have a three second reduction in my lockout for force armor, and when I cast noble sacrifice, 3% of my health is restored over a few seconds. So about 8% of my health is taken upon NS, I don't think it's worth it for the amount of force it yields. One other issue that has arisen is the changes to Expertise. Damage is increased, yet healing is reduced. Thus it is even more difficult now to keep up the heals. It's not only us though that are having problems healing, my trooper friend says that he is always short on ammo. He's heavy armor though! What we can do now? Eh, I'm not sure I have all the answers there. If you get the chance to have a salvation under you, preferably under you and other ranged. Than do it, and use noble sacrifice when necessary, and as much as you can. Run out of battle if you must and use meditation. Leaving your allies isn't exactly the best thing to do as a healer but it's the lesser of two evils. The other being you stand there useless until you get just enough force to use a heal and hopefully not die! Also, there is no shame in using medpacs, or using the healing crest thing that's in the warzones. Last, I would say try to stack more surge. Especially since conveyance grants crit to benevolence and healing trance, that extra surge will give you heals an extra boost. I think that's all I got, sorry for the long post, hope you all learned something!
  12. Playing warzones now, despite still getting decent heals, is disheartening. I can't play more than a few matches at most. It's not so much because my healing is gimped, more than the fact that I die so easily. Yeah I can kite but against a marauder there is no point in running away since Oh wait they can just jump to me and possibly have be immobilized and than they've got an even more powerful master strike that for whatever reason now can not be interrupted. I DON'T UNDERSTAND BIOWARES LOGIC! D:
  13. I'm so tired of people saying "stand in your own healing circle" it's an aoe heal meant for more than one person and I guarantee you that in a PVP situation you are not going to be in the front lines! And deliverance is useless now because bioware instead of fixing it so it does not double cast, simply just made it useless instead because that was the easy thing to do. You've gotta remember we don't get to stand back while the imps bring us cake. They are going to attack us and if we do not kite or break LOS, we are dead.
  14. I've noticed that my healing in warzones is still pretty high, that doesn't change the fact that fixes need to be implemented. Deliverance is useless now, I mean sure if I want that extra medal I can always sit in a corner, Noble Sacrifice myself down, and get that 5k heal! Other than that though, useless. And of course this also makes immutable force a waste of points as well. I saw someone else post about this and I thought he made a good point. Even if we have the healing trance proc, noble Sacrifice only restores 8% force. On my toon I have 600 force, 650 in PvE with an armor buff. Eight percent is only 48 force, than we have to heal ourselves with at the very least lets say with rejuvanate, which costs 28 force with 9% reduction from Inner Strength. That's really only 20 force I'm getting back. Benevolence....this ability has all sorts of problems with it, especially now. For it to cost only 5 force less than deliverance for half the heals? Than for rejuv to increase its crit change by 60%? I don't care!!! Increase the potency of it at the very least if you're going to give it a buff after using rejuv. The buff to melee, specifically to sentinels and their mirrors. I have an alt sentinel and I thought they were already OP. They have so many defensive mechanisms and even a stealth. And they got buffed big time, namely their 15% damage increase to master strike, which did devastating damage to begin with. It's become far more difficult to keep up the heals. In terms of PvE, my guild and I completed Karagga on hard mode and beat SOA on nightmare mode. Including myself we had another sage healer and we still did a really good job of keeping up the heals. When we were able to stand in one another or both of our Salvations it was the only time where spamming noble sacrifice was a smart thing to do. That however is only viable in PvE.
  15. Well true of course, but I am referring more to when I have a melee on me and my heals are CD.
