  1. Exactly the ONLY time I cast benevolence is when someone needs a quick heal or else theyre going to die and HT is on cd. a FA + Benevolence will usually get them out of that danger zone long enough to toss a HT their way and get them into a safe zone. During an ops I cast benevolence typically a handful of times. Salvation and healing trance are far an away my top healing contributors. I also am good at managing my force so that while benevolence may not be the most efficient spell to cast I can afford to use it in a clutch situation because at any given time during a fight i will be over 60% force. To each their own though I see a lot of people that still like to cast deliverance if that suits your playstyle and your effective with it then do what works for you. I know what I do works quite well for me however.
  2. I wrote a couple of guides as well. Pre 1.2 I wrote a comprehensive guide to all Sage specs and Post 1.2 I wrote a healing guide as well. Guess my guides just didnt get the right person to look at them and decie to sticky them.
  3. meh, I am really not a fan at all of deliverance anymore. Why with the 2 piece pve set bonus would you bother with such a slow casting spell eating up your conveyance when you can double dip the conveyance buff with a healing trance/salv combo and be much more efficient. Then when things get hairy toss a benevolence in after a HT with conveyance. I NEVER cast deliverance in PvE and I put up 1500-1900 HPS in EC depending on the fight. Maybe I am crazy but most people on my server consider me a very good healer so I dunno.
  4. it is a considerable jump in skill level and competitvness from the 1-49 bracket to the 50 bracket. You're still gonna see baddies and people that top the charts every time however. But the overall skill level of players once you hit 50 will typically be much better. However I still say healing as a sage period is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be here. It's challenging at times which IMO makes it more fun.
  5. I guess people will always come in here and want to argue just for arguements sake. I personally feel as a healing sage I am actually harder to kill in pvp then I was pre 1.2 and in pve as long as youre doing it with competent people healing and force management is really not too terribly difficult. Yes I agree that to be a good healer you actually have to work at it much harder then you did pre 1.2 but isnt that challenge of playing the class part of the fun in playing the game?
  6. WOW wish I was on your server, id buy up every augment slotted weapon you put up and instantly relist it for a 400% profit. lol
  7. See now this is what i was referring to earlier as far as putting up a legitimate arguement. Thank you! I agree with you in pretty much every point provided here aside from the fact that in any encounter be it pvp or pve you wont be casting a heal 100% of the time. There will be downtime where youre moving and naturally regening force at the 8/sec while not casting(also are you adding in the +112 force from the natural force regen in your healing model?). So even with a negative force number from your healing models you can still spam cast your abilities when needed and regen them when needed typically. I got done doing some of the new ops tonight before work and didnt really have a problem with healing or force management throughout the encounters. When my force did dip down low i just used a rejuv/HT/rejuv/Salv rotation for a bit to proc resplendance and NS slowly getting force back while still keeping people alive. So the healing is definatly doable however I will say for the tanks I had a bit of a struggle healing on the stormcaller side but when I switched to the firestorm side we downed it no problem.(stuck a smuggler healer on the SC side) So I will say some classes can preform a bit better then others in some specific situations(smuggler having a big instant heal for when the lightning pillars dropped on someone and they took a tick of double damage from the debuff made them better for that side then me with my small instant heal+HoT). But to say sage healing is dead like so many have done are silly!
  8. thanks for the input. As noted lower in my OP it does say to use healing trance pretty much on CD even without the conveyance(was late when i posted this.. not sure why the brain kept saying clairvoyance) This helps negate the negative force problem you come up with a bit. however overall in most fights where youre constantly healing if youre at 100% force when it ends it was either extremely easy or someone else was picking up the slack for you. I dont expect any long and challenging fight to end with a healer at full force.
  9. If youre using a set rotation for anything then again... youre horrible. Everything is a Priority rotation dependant on whats going on around you. Having a set rotation of for example force armor>rejuv>deliverance>HT>NS would mean that you would go through that rotation no matter what the persons life was at, no matter if they were in danger or not ect... if all you have in an arguement is a snide way of telling me i'm right and then turning around and trying to tell me i'm wrong then post a real arguement. Whats your pvp "rotation" then. I can put up pretty consistant healing and dps numbers in WZ's post 1.2 that are not far off from what I could do pre 1.2. Why can I do this? because I adapted my playstyle and then posted it here for you to hopefully learn from if you were having troubles. Remember I am not the one coming to the forums crying about how were so bad now. I'm trying to show you all that were not as bad as you all think we are. If you think I come across as elitist whatever IDC. I do in fact have a pretty good knowledge of what I am doing and am just trying to help with this thread. So put some constructive criticisim up or ****. You do not back up your statement at all.
  10. He has no valid point in his arguement, therefore he is someone I would consider bad. If there is a legitimate arguement to be had here then we an talk about both sides and see if one side is indeed better then the other. If after deliberation the arguement turns out to be something that I had not covered in the OP or covered wrongly in the OP then I would fix it. This is here in an attempt to help all those sages who feel that theyre now hopeless in both pve and pvp when in fact theyre far from it. People have to learn to adapt their playstyle to the changes that have been set forth, either that or QQ and quit/reroll like so many seem to be doing.
  11. yes because in your little post about healing and dps changes in 1.2 you do not take into account the fact that there is a thing called terrain that a healer can use to their advantage as well as a snare, a cc, a sprint, and a knockback.(also who he **** would have ever used deliverance without conveyance pre 1.2? that 2.8 second cast in your pre 1.2 example would never be there in a competant healers rotation) If all youre doing as a healer in pvp is standing in one spot and acting like a self healing training dummy youre bad. Yes this how to heal post is more orientated towards healing in a PvE situation but it also applies to PvP. You should still use the same healing priorities and still try to drop salvations in an area that you and your teammates can use and when being focused make it difficult for the person(s) to kill you using more then just those neat green buttons on your hotbar.
  12. You use the aoe heal to heal more then just yourself obviously. If the people your raiding(or pvping) with are not smart enough to stand in it with you(or youre too dumb to put it somewhere where they can stand) then theyre/youre bad. Healing across the board was nerfed not just sages. Deliverance is an ok heal to use if youre not in a high pressure situation due to its efficiency however with that efficiency comes the cost of having to wait forever for the heal to wind up. You have to come to terms with the fact that deliverance is no longer a sages main heal. Before 1.2 there was ZERO need to ever cast benevolence. Now it is our main heal followed by rejuvinate, healing trance, salvation and finally deliverance There is nothing really wrong with the way sages are its simply a new healing priority. You complain about efficiency however if you use your spells correctly efficiency does not matter as much since during high stress times you can use your reserves of force spamming benevolence to keep people alive and when it calms down you can then trance/NS and salvation to replenish your force and still keep everyone alive. Just dont be bad.
  13. Not sure if all the QQ is to try to incite BW to give us back 1.4 second deliverances or what but odds are its not happening... if it does then sages go back to EZ-Mode healing again which would be sweet but even with the changes we currently have in place if you play correctly you wont suck. So heres how to heal as a sage post 1.2 First heres my spec. My healing specilization Rule #1 QUIT *********** RELYING ON DELIVERANCE It was amazing when paired with clairvoyance because of the fact you could 1. double dip on the proc and 2. the proc gave us 1.4 second heals that could crit for 6k or more. This is not the case anymore and tbh the spell should not be used very often and never be used in a high pressure healing situation. So having said that now some people are going to say well I'm going to run out of force and benevolence doesnt heal enough! I can't heal as a sage anymore so im gonna QQ and re-roll/quit. The simple soultion here is: 2. Spec into valiance so NS only takes 11% health per cast. 3. Use salvation pretty much on CD with conveyance procs so you dont go OOF casting it(its 91 force(100 if youre not specced right) if you dont use it with conveyance, dont do that) 4. Use benevolence with conveyance when you dont need to get your force back. A benevolence crit heals as much as a deliverance non crit and with conveyance its pretty much an auto crit. 5. If you need force use conveyance with healing trance then NS with the resplendance proc while standing in your salvation. 6. ALWAYS BE STANDING IN YOUR SALVATION! Unless theres a mechanic that is going to prevent you from doing so but smart placement of salvation should keep you inside your nifty lil aoe heal most of the time while also healing your group be it PvP, Ops or FP. This also negates the problem of NS costing you life to cast now even with Resplendance. A couple of ticks of youe AOE heal and your back to where you were before you NS'ed. other little things to note: 1. Use healing trance on CD as well toss it on the tank and get that resplendance proc so you can keep your force topped of as best as possible.(even if it doesnt proc resplendance its good to keep someone thats taking damage topped off with) 2. If youre in trouble and falling behind on heals for the group use your force armor to help you catch up. It's instant cast and will keep that guy whos low on health at that health level while you take the time to wind up a benevolence or channel healing trance on him. Again never use deliverance in a high pressure situation. 3. Healing trance does not eat conveyance. So a good rotation to follow at the start of any encounter would be rejuv then HT then salv or benevolence since you still have conveyance after your HT has finished casting(and crit on most of the ticks thanks to conveyance). The only problem with this rotation is you have a small deadzone of time after you eat conveyance. You can cast some non conveyance benevolence or whatever you want in this time.(I usually use the time to toss out a force armor on a few people) or if im getting focused in pvp can use this time to move around, toss a clense, ect. what you do with this window of time before you can recast HT is up to you (this also assumes youre not already using the 2 piece PVE set bonus to HT) That's about all I have. If anyone has anything else to add to help our poor sage healers out more feel free to add it. Hope this helps all of you out that re coming here not knowing what to do about our healing "nerf"
  14. replace deliverance with benevolence and you win. Also use salvation on CD with a clairboyance proc to avoid running out of force. Quit casting deliverance and all your problems are solved. Only time deliverance is worth casting is in low pressure situations. If youre trying to wind up a big deliverance cast and praying that it crits to justify casting it(even with 40% crit thats just silly to depend on crits) then your bad plain and simple.
  15. vanilla wow resto druids were literally unkillable 1v1...
