I would not play as a Wookie, as a Bothan, maybe. However, a Trandoshan bounty hunter or smuggler is what I would love to play.

Personally, I’m only here for the story lines of the characters and do not group for operations or do any PVP, so, like yourself I hope they have a few more chapters in the future

I think he is asking why he has to change his name as he was on Harbinger from day one and it is the destination server, he did not move there but was always there.

I’m on a PVE server also and I do care, the reason I chose a PVE server is so I can quest and play in peace without the worry of being attacked by others. However, if we merged with a PVP server we would all be auto flagged and that would kill the game enjoyment for a lot of us, it would be easier for them to merge PVP with a PVP server so those that enjoy PVP can flag themselves and everyone would enjoy the game.

LOL, wait for it, there will be either another eight hour maintenance this Thursday/Friday or they will say that it is beneficial to merge all Asia Pacific servers with U.S servers to increase population.

Personally I’m quite happy where I am as I transferred from “The Jekk Jekk Tarr” back in April. Dalborra server still has many people in fleet (150 to 225) at night, so there is no complaining from my end as PVE is doing fine, just seems that those on PVP servers are not doing as well.

I agree with Vian, if you check the server conditions on any night you will find the PVE and RP-PVE always have a “standard” population, these ones are doing well, showing that more people wish to join PVE servers than PVP. You can also check this out with the U.S east and west coast servers, where the aforementioned servers have greater activity than PVP servers, therefore, merge the Asia/Pacific servers into one PVE server if they ever intend to merge servers.

Was just logged in to Dalborra and there are rumours of closing the Asia/Pacific servers and transferring people to U.S ones, personally I have not read anything from EA and co regarding this, is there any information regarding these rumours?

I’m not sure how the pvp works in this game, however, the others I have played you are auto flagged and cannot quest properly, this would not work for people that do not wish to pvp, that’s why they have separate servers.

Maybe it is only your (Master Dar'Nala) server, Dalborra is doing ok, at times there are two hundred plus in fleet and fifty on planet (Voss), also, combining all three servers would not work as they are different play styles.

They have been planning free to play for a long time, if you go to the file “launcher.settings” you will see the line that says "P2PEnabled": "false" this line has been there since installation. So, if you continue to subscribe after free to play is introduced I guess this line changes to “True” instead of “false”.

Granted, however, it is still a subscription based game after the free levels, they are planning to make Star Wars a free to play micro transaction game to level 50, in other words cutting subs.

I disagree, WoW has vanity items and that’s all its still subscription based. DDO has free to play, however, you can also subscribe each month if you want, hope that’s what SW:ToR decides to do.

Ditto, I prefer to pay my fifteen dollars a month instead of it accumulating to thirty or more with transactions, it this happens I guess the wife and I are off to panda land.

I agree also, never had a Twitter account and closed my Facebook one over a year ago, every other MMO I have played kept their player base up to date via the games forum (developer) page.

Personally, I’m getting extremely tired of all these “Free to Play" speculations, until they post it in the development thread or on the SWToR home page I will not believe the speculators.

That will not work as Star Wars is twenty gigabytes in size.

I asked the same question in a thread a long time ago (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=383368) and the consensus was the same as the person quoted.

the servers will only be down for one maybe two hours then we can all come back and enjoy the game, like you the down time use to annoy me but now I find other things to fill in the maintenance period, and to answer your original question yes I’m Australian and still enjoy SW:ToR. P.S I know a couple of people (fellow Australians) that would like to transfer here (Dalborra) from a North American server.
