  1. Wait for them to remove the vaccine and cause another outbreak! That'd have been so epic! Sadly, I do not have any plagued alts...Shame.
  2. So it's Bioware's fault you got the memo too late?
  3. So you want forum moderators to do work in the game instead of what they were hired to do? You so funny...
  4. Not necessarily. That's a "grey" force user. Dark Sith = Drawing on hatred, rage and other negative emotions Light Sith = Drawing on compassion, mercy, and other positive emotions Light Jedi = Successfully suppressing emotion to remain objectivity Dark Jedi = Failed to, or at least was taught to, suppress emotion, and failed. That's how I've always thought of it anyways, seems to be the most supported by SW lore so...
  5. That too. If you went purely by the OT then... Blue = Pure light Jedi Green = Darkening Jedi (Luke used green when he started to fall in VI...) Red = Fallen to the dark side Or if you went by the PT/OT Green = Master Blue = Padawan/Knight Red = Sith Purple = Samuel L. Jackson
  6. I can see what you are saying and agree, it's a bit silly. But how would you have done it? If there was no reward for being infected, then no one would, and what kind of event would that be? "You can get infected, but everyone's vaccinated and there's no out-of-story point to do so." Heh. Everyone gathering on the Fleet to not get infected...
  7. It was fun. It was a small blessing, but a blessing, for our server when it stimulated RP for a bit, I would have liked Bioware to increase the level of chaos though. I had actually stockpiled vaccines in case Bioware said, "ruh roh, no more vaccine for YOU!". Not that I'd use it, I'd sell it on the GTN for sky-high prices. I could already have unlocked my Mirilian Agent Bioware!
  8. I agree that the lack of a further conversations is dissapointing. Even some rotational "companion dailies" where you just talk to them, maybe my Trooper talks about weapons with Aric Jorgan, or get to know Gand culture a little more from Yuun. However, I never used the codex to find likes or dislikes for them. I just did convos as I would answer and discovered what they liked and disliked from me and went with that. The codex is for people who'd rather not do so much experimenting.
  9. Except that there was never any justification for not having a Rainbow Saber. I've heard it described like this. In the OT, special effects were limited, so they were really restricted to light blue and red (before it was remastered, some people said it was more of an orange...), in the PT, Obi-Wan had to use a blue saber because he used one in the OT, Qui-Gon had to use a green one to make sure he wasn't confused with Obi-Wan, and Maul used a red one to give the same effect Darth Vader had when he revealed his red lightsaber. Going to verify this, some people said that in the Arena scene of II, there was a Jedi in the distance with a red saber. Oh wait, that's right, there was no yellow in the OT. So therefore, there can be no yellow. There is a difference between a color of a lightsaber, and the legitimate symbol of a country. And by the way, not all Nazi soldiers wore gray. Under Rommel, Nazi Soldiers in NA used tan uniforms. Not all US soldiers wore green, mostly it was the ones that fought in the pacific, the ones who fought in urban settings wore gray. What rules? Because if you say it, it's fact amirite? You sound like one of those guys that stands on the street corner with a sign saying, "The world will end soon! Repent!" or one of those people who thinks the world will end in 2012 because of a Mayan calendar. Because Bioware isn't living up to your silly idea of what makes a Jedi a Jedi and a Sith a Sith, and because a grand total of 8 abilities are shared between all factions, can only be used in small groups/solo and aren't necessarily faction specific. (Luke using force choke on Gamorrean guards? Who says a Trooper can't call down an orbital strike? And why can't a Sith Warrior play dirty with a "special kick"?) Once more, standing at a corner, "The world will end! Repent!"
  10. I just had to comment on this. So then I have to RP myself as a guy sitting in front of a computer screen? That's no fun.
  11. Samuel Jackson got a purple lightsaber because he liked purple. No one got in a hissy fit over his lightsaber not being, "Blue or green". Player wants to be a dark side Sith who may use a blue saber just to spite the Jedi. Fans get into a hissy fit over it. *shrug*
  12. This idea... It's... Go get a job at Bioware. Now.
  13. Jedi Civil War 2.0 Or Star Wars Zombie Apocalypse. Either way...
  14. Pfft. Roosevelt would eat Hitler for breakfast.
  15. By this logic, Mace would have been even better than Marek because he had a saber to Palp's throat. If you negate Sidious' toying with Marek, you ignore Sidious' toying with Windu, and Windu had done better than Galen if I remember correctly.
  16. A lot of chatter and cure-searching has been going on on Vrook Lamar. The Galactic Chronicle has already published an article on it's origins, and the public comm channel has been kind of high-strung with a number of peoples' different reactions to the plague. Kind of wish we got some forewarning, so that we could have had time to plan a legitimate event for the server...
  17. Sometimes, when the deck's stacked against ya, you just gotta fight dirty. http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz34/Saltytoes/pwn.png
  18. You have to understand that they are still marketing a Star Wars MMO. Therefore, people who play it because it's Star Wars, rather than because it's Bioware would probably gawk at a Star Wars MMO that doesn't let you go to iconic Star Wars locales, like Tatooine and Hoth, or if your Sith doesn't get to be like Darth Vader, or if your Bounty Hunter cannot be a carbon copy of Boba Fett. Quite simply, because it's a big-name Star Wars game, it has to have these in order to please the fans and keep subscriptions. And they have been doing some experimenting regarding saber colors, and fans have been getting ticked at that. "Jedi running around with Red sabers! PINK LIGHTSABERS?! Who'd want to use a CYAN lightsaber?" Star Wars without Tatooine would be like a Fantasy MMO without a cursed forest.
  19. Bioware seems to LOVE trolling people by putting in borderline ToS-breaking names into the random name generator.
  20. I am a Sharpshooter with a spec I thought would be best. Before 1.2, I was Sabo, but I used the free respec to make myself a gunslinger to see if it makes me any more effective, as I felt I was lacking. I liked the mobility of the Sabo, the easy-to-refresh Cool Head, and most importantly those contingency charges, and I dislike being constantly being LoS'd on my Sharpshooter. So my question is, is there a good Saboteur spec that can emphasize the things I like (mobility, DoTs, being able to hop between cover and no cover)? Or am I better off with another spec altogether?
