  1. I like the irony in this post If you're going to slam somebody's comprehension of the English language, at least make sure your own post isn't full of grammatical errors and misspellings.
  2. Again, I'm not one of the ones pre-ordering in December. I entered my codes last month and fully expect to be playing tomorrow. I still think it's crappy to be kicking people in the virtual nuts by telling them they'll probably get a day of access when it's pretty clear that Bioware's goal is to get everyone in by the weekend. As for everyone saying, "What happens if [insert catastrophic event] and they can't deliver on what they told people?" Well, the same argument could be applied to them stating people will get at least one day. I just think it would invoke far less frustration and rage from people if they simply put together a decent statement, rather than some vague one-liner on Twitter (or even worse, giving no info and leaving it up to the players to speculate). I know they are trying to under-promise and over-deliver, but they can give players more info without actually promising anything new. Here, I'll get them started: I'm sure they are *thinking* something fairly similar. Not sure why they think it's better to not say it. Whatever negative effect they are trying to avoid is happening anyway as a result of the lack of communication.
  3. Checked Stephen Reid's twitter page a little bit ago, just to see what kind of info (or non-info) he was giving out and noticed that even in the last hour, he was still telling people if they pre-ordered now they would get "at least one day" of early access. Now, I know the key part of that sentence is "at least", leaving it open to being more than that. I'm not arguing the accuracy of the statement at all. However, the statement also sets expectations pretty low. If somebody tells me that I'll get at least one day, that implies that there's a chance I'll only get one day. People have been doing this on the forums for some time now as well and I'm sure it's demoralizing to hear, "You'll probably get one day", when there are players getting 6 or 7. Looking at the rate they are currently rolling out early access (invited the remainder of July, all of Aug & Sept., and up to October 2 today), clearly they are going to get through the rest of the pre-orders in the next day or two. This should give everyone who pre-ordered 4 or 5 days of access, so why not just say there's a pretty good chance of that? This entire launch has been littered with vague statements and almost no solid information and I think it has really contributed a lot to some of the negative attitudes. Not sure why Bioware continues to do this, but I think it has been the single, glaring screw-up of this launch. P.S. I pre-ordered in Aug, but didn't enter codes until Nov, so I'm not one of the people asking if they should pre-order now.
  4. As far as East Coast servers go, which is what I'm looking at, Dreshdae Cantina (PVE) seems to be the only one on the server status list that wasn't in their official server list posted yesterday. Not sure if that was added today, or if it was there yesterday and they just forgot to mention it. I'm hoping for new servers to join on whatever day I get invited, because I have no interest in playing on a server where people are already a few days ahead, abusing leveling exploits, etc.. I'm sure there are many people who would prefer to play on a fresh server, so it would still feel like getting early access on day one. Unfortunately, I think Bioware is going to taint most of the servers for people in their attempt to evenly spread out the population.
  5. Turning the shadows all the way off might help, as those seem to be the culprit with many people's graphics cards.
  6. Saw this stream last night... Tuned in just in time to see the One Percent Wipes guys wipe like 5 times in a row (on the same boss) as everyone in the chat tried to tell them what they were obviously doing wrong. Turned it off when the guy started trash talking his own viewers and rubbing it in their faces that he was making money off them watching the stream. Wouldn't surprise me if he started this thread himself. The whole thing seemed pretty self-important.
  7. I'm guessing November pre-orders will be in by Thursday night or Friday morning. If not, then EA & Bioware are being WAY too conservative with their staggering. It's all going to hit the fan on the 20th anyway, so by dragging this out they are really just frustrating people for very little in return. Personally, I think they tacked the extra 2 days of access on so they could try to get everyone in the game by the time the original start of the early access gets here on the 15th. Perhaps somebody thinks that will earn them points with the players they've done a pretty horrid job of relaying information to so far.
  8. Five waves might be more impressive if we actually knew how many people that included, or what percentage of the players getting early access were included in that. I'll guarantee the waves were not as big as the ones from the large beta weekend. I actually expected them to get more people in today, and that was back when it was still only five days of access. I think they are being overly cautious so they can boast about having the smoothest MMO launch ever, etc. I still think they are going to try to get most people in by the end of the day on the 15th, so they can say they still managed to give everyone the original 5 days of access (since there was so much debate over this). I'll be really surprised, and disappointed, if they tacked on the extra two days entirely so they could be even more conservative with the early access waves.
