  1. Well first off, your price theory is wrong. On a higher pop server, the prices for goods after 1.2 stayed higher longer than on the low pop servers. Also items moved faster. If i spend 2 hours on fleet hawking wares and selling them on a high pop server, i will make more sales than on a low pop server. On a low pop server, you might get more credits for an item once markets stabilize, but you're only selling 1-2 of those verses 10-20 on the high pop server. I have so much unsold inventory it's rediculous, and i was one of the ONLY crafters on my server for some items. I could outfit the entire server and still have **** left over. On a high pop server that would never happen. Yes, some people will not notice a big difference, but for any crafter who actually does crafting, there's going to be a huge difference. I can think of 5 people off the top of my head who rerolled on the high pop server before 1.2, who now have more wealth than almost the entire main guild of the republic side on the old server. Likewise, 50 hours of pvp on fatman is NOT equal to 50 hours of pvp on a low pop server. Hell, to get 3 hours of pvp it takes a week of planning and spreading the word just to get enough people ON to have queues pop. As i mentioned before, you have active players who have been there since the server OPENED who don't have full war hero, because we can't get queues even with knowing everyone on both sides and coordinating a pvp night.
  2. You missed the point. The point is not "credits are easy to obtain". The point is if you have two people, one who crafts their *** off, runs everything they can, and pvps as much as possible, on a low population server, they will have X wealth and X gear. And they can earn X more per unit of time. Now, take that same person, if they had instead rerolled on the "high pop" server, would have XXXXXX wealth, and XXXXXX gear. With the potential to earn XX more per unit of time. Just because they had access to a live GTN, they could have been selling more crafting stuff all the time. That's ignoring actualy PVP pops for gear, and running FPS/OPS due to enough people being on rather than having to scrounge for people. Why bother creating that problem instead of just merging all the low pops to each other so everyone is on an even playing field? And like is aid, from a pvp standpoint alone, you've putting people who have played since early access, and put in work, and yet don't have more than a piece or two of war hero due to server populations, up agianst full war hero augmented groups. It's going to be a bloodbath for weeks.
  3. I am hoping the CS droids realize this should NOT BE MERGED with the transfers thread, as it is discussing the ECONOMY. With that said, It really appears to me as if whoever is in charge of character transfers did not consider the effects on server economy that will come from merging people who have been on a very low population (or dead) server that has been that way for months, suddenly onto a server that has had a high population for many months. You have players who decided to stick it out, and keep a small economy going. Even after 1.2 came out there was still SOME GTN trading(not much), and crafters could make a small bit of money. But keyword here is SMALL. Now you're telling us that we should transfer onto a server where not only have people had time to get full PVP gear (while most of the players left on some of these servers can't even get the queue pops to finish battlemaster gear in a MONTH of trying), but also had a robust economy in place. So basically, you're saying that even if you worked hard to be the richest player on a dead server, you will now be dirt poor by comparison to pretty much everyone on the target server. Same goes for gear and pvp queues, there will be weeks of strife as people are demolished by their well-geared counterparts on just because they didn't abandon their servers and couldn't get queues. Please reconsider this outcome and see that it would be much more beneficial to having a STABLE economy to merge the low population servers with other low populations servers onto a medium or low population server. Instead of punishing people who decided not to reroll. Hell Half the crafters on low pop servers can't even make end-game craftables because they couldn't get the runs needed to make the schematics. And now you're telling people who have been there since day 1 and worked hard for what they had, even staying subscribed through low population, and their work is worthless because they chose not to reroll. Because that's what the current decision does.
  4. Actually, you ever assume people can't? For example, on Firk crystal server right now, on a given evening, the imperial fleet has around 40-80 on. The republic fleet will have maybe 20 if it's busy. The empire will have 30-40 50s on. The rebels will have maybe 10. If even a small group of empire decided to camp the vendor (which they have), republic literally doesn't have the players on to counterattack. I'm actually currently running decoy so some lowbies can cash in their dna vs around 5 imps, and well... that level of griefing should never happen during an event. Not saying people shouldn't pvp when possible, but if the pvp can lockout the event due to faction imbalance, that's something wrong in how the event was planned.
  5. Yes, if by longer queue times you mean republic actually gets queues rather than currently not. We are having to wait for empire vs empire queues to stop (if we're lucky they pick to do rep vs empire instead of another emp vs emp game). We literally have times when 10 republic are sitting in queue for 20 or more min (current record is an hour) while we watch empire do different same faction warzones. And again, the whole fact that they get gear and we can't because they're gearing each other is rather a strong point.
  6. Disclaimer: I know this won't happen. I am doing this to illustrate a point. Currently on Firk crystal, The only queues are empire. Republic can field maybe 16 50s during peak time for pvps, and they get trounced because most of the empire has been pvp queing most of the day every day whereas we're lucky to get pops a couple times a day at BEST. This ends up with them being fully geared and us fielding people in recruit or maybe battlemaster if we're lucky, because no one can get games to farm the new equipment. Which leads to people not wanting to queue because we can't win (get daily credit) and we barely get queues anyway because we have to wait for empire vs empire huttball to finish if we are lucky enoguh to have people wait long enough for that queue. So i'm saying, if one side is so royally screwed due to server merges not happening, you should disable same faction warzones for any server that isn't running warzones for both factions more than 40% of the day. This would keep gear farming to a minimum. For those who say "migrate to fatman", thats not the point. The point is there are quite a few servers this is happening to, and it needs to be addressed before you end up with one faction fully geared and the other powerless to compete, effectively spending the time till merges unable to farm or even play the pvp aspect of the game.
  7. Orobird nests got moved with the most recent patch 1.2.0a. The hunt is back on!
  8. - Remodelled Part of Alderaan to move Orobird quest-related objects around. (And i'm talking a decent remodel, they actually destroyed a whole bridge, among other things) I don't mind that they did it. It was VERY important to not give the PTS people an advantage. What I mind is they are providing incomplete patch notes for inconsequential things, and in fact by NOT providing this patch note some people wouldn't bother looking for orobirds because they would feel they are already "too far behind". Developers... There is no point in releasing patch notes if they are incomplete about stuff that actually matters to players. You coulda gained a lot of karma for this move if you'd been upfront about it.
  9. Main sage, but have an alt in everything pretty much, You'll find me on Firakann Crystal. 50/50/50/43/33/ihavetoomanyalts...
  10. I'll repeat again what i said earlier. I've killed ulgo 50 times. He doesn't drop white anymore.

  12. LIES LIES LIES. He does NOT DROP it. Trust me. i've solo'd him 50 times, kept a loot table for him. I can tell you his drop %s to a .95 confidence with a error margin of 2%. Right now the most likely theory is they moved it to the hoth world boss.
  13. Confirmed. Get water on tatooine, Freeze it on hoth. Use crystal on illum, kill(or die to) ghost. recieve crystal. I'm only posting this because everyone has been to obvious in this thread so its not revealing anything. That being said, i expect everyone to be in magenta by two days from now. IMO this crystal is NOT rare enough.
  14. he didn't say any levels, and the crafting recipe for it is from a world boss that requires 8 50s.
  15. Its a data dump. I and a few others mentioned it earlier on in the thread. See my reply about IA. I have a good idea whats going on, right now i'm just testing my theory. It's going to take a while.
