  1. I just want to share an update. NVIDIA to the rescue!!! They had a really nice booth set up at Celebration showcasing their 3D camera and tvs, and they decided to set up a table with swtor running on all the computers! People got to create trial accounts and check out the game, or log in and play (comparing performance). I thought that was awesome seeing as another company chose to advertise for swtor, because they couldn't be bothered to show up.
  2. Ironic. Originally, swtor was the only reason I wanted to go to Celebration, and now they aren't even going to be there! I am really disappointed about this, to be honest. I don't even care if there is anything to show us there, I just wanted to meet and THANK the people who made this game, but now I can't. Even with the short staff and everything, just send a couple people or something to appease the fans. I bought this game because I liked Star Wars, not mmo's.
  3. Seems like a solid bundle deal. You have to plan on getting another hard drive if you want to play more than a couple games, or if need anything stored (documents, itunes, movies...) because 128gb is NOT very much. Swtor takes close to 40 alone, and Windows 20, etc. It will go fast. As for the rest, nice find. AMD makes solid processors, although I prefer intel. It is a great budget build, although you might not be seeing 60+ fps at highest settings, though.
  4. Thanks for the help! I want to keep the overall theme of Corsair, and the power supply has a 15% off code for now, plus a small rebate, and it seems to be ready for Crossfire later on. I also looked at the ram you linked. They are similar, and mine was also Corsair... I would get the regular vengeance, but I am not sure it would fit with my Heatsink. I do like the video card you linked, though so maybe I will go for that instead. Thanks again!
  5. Ok so I have a possible build together. It is kind of expensive, but I want to know how well it will handle this game at 1920 x 1080. Also, is the US version of ncix.com good? I compared prices and with the free shipping they came out cheaper. I don't care how harsh. Should I also wait for Ivy Bridge/7800 Series for better performance? One last thing, how will the motherboard I linked handle overclocking? Thanks for any help!
  6. I prefer the Corsair Carbide 500r White version, found it on gamersnexus.net Looks just as, if not sleeker, most of the same features and a lower price.
  7. Ok, new question. Just saw the Radeon 7770 and 7750 release. Should I wait a couple months for the 78xx cards or take the plunge?
  8. So... I have a possible build together, how will this work? Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item...rbide%20500r%20white CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115077 MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128502 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144 GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908 HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769 PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 I want to play on high graphics (possibly without AA) at 60 fps+
  9. Hmm. Well then, how about an AMD FX-4100? It is about the same price and has four cores and a higher rate, but I heard some bad things about AMD's new line. And I know I would have to change the mobo too.
  10. I have done some (and by some I mean a WHOLE LOT) of research on computer parts and gaming, and put together a possible list of components for my budget swtor build. Please give any advice you can on any of the parts. Also, I know the i3 2120 is one of the "low-end" cpu's, but with the other parts, will it run swtor on max graphics with ~60 fps? I am willing to sacrifice AA and other stuff, but I no-likey pixels! Here is the build: Case: Corsair Carbide 500r White http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139010&Tpk=corsair%20500r%20white CPU: Intel i3-2120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115077&Tpk=i3%202120 Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128502 Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144 Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908 Hard Drive: Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769&cm_sp=Cat_Hard_Drives-_-Spotlight-_-22-136-769 Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast Series 650W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020 I know a few things are missing. I really could care less about the optical drive, because they are all basically the same. An SSD is in the future when I upgrade. And also, is the Power Supply enough at 650W, or do I need more? Thanks for any help
  11. thanks for the advice guys, i will be sure to use it as soon as i purchase my parts. only part left now is the money for it .
  12. Hello readers, I was searching though Newegg when I found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.791295 I was wondering if that would be a good build to play swtor with, having good fps (around 60 maybe)? If not, please give me some advice and tips to make it better. BTW my budget is laughable, so please keep it reasonable. Thanks!
  13. Hey, I was digging around looking for good computer suggestions for games such as Swtor and WoW, and came across http://www.gamersnexus.net/pc-builds/46-pcbuildupg/673-swtor-sith-budget-gaming-pc-build and http://www.gamersnexus.net/pc-builds/46-pcbuildupg/672-swtor-jedi-hardcore-gaming-pc-build which both seem very nice and capable. So I was wondering if anyone knew how these parts could work together and if they would actually handle swtor on max or really any settings with good fps, around 60+. Thanks.
  14. i agree, but alas it will never happen.
  15. me. spend at least 3 times as much time on here than in game cuz it rarely works lol
  16. Cool, so since the class is a mirror of the Inquisitor, I can make a Shadow and a Sorcerer to play both sides. I think lightning is a tiny bit cooler than pebbles, and how much different can double-bladed techniques be? lol thanks to everyone.
  17. Ok, so I am wondering about which AC is better for solo leveling. Assuming I use the appropriate companion for each, my gear is equal and every other factor is a constant for each except the one variable that is the class itself. Which is better by themselves? I was reading in Torhead and correct me if I am wrong, but the Sage gets an extra 400 force points and the Shadow gets nothing comparable, so does that mean that they have to wait in between attacks or something and use the basic meh attack? If I sound noobish, it is because I am usually a melee player and not a caster, so please help. Thanks
  18. So yes then, re-makes are a good idea. Think of it, if they pale in comparison, it will make you appreciate the prequels more
  19. I think in one galaxy there was one planet making video games about what another galaxy was doing,
  20. signed. I just love the thought of making the exploiters ask support for help, catching themselves red-handed.
