  1. Atleast you didn't take a blaster to the knee. I'd say run with guildies, or wait until level 50.
  2. 1. I've openned 51 bags and gotten 3 champion items. 2 implants, 1 gauntlet. 2. Twinks. Look it up. Brackets fix nothing, don't even try to argue for it. 3. BM are a league all their own, and level 50 brackets won't stop Valor 60 players with full BM, chowing down on stims and buffs from EATING entire teams of new 50s. That's a lot like a pack of 40s fighting a champion geared player with stims and buffs, with almost no difference. Nothing is solved. I could call you many names, but you have nothing backing you. No statistics, no videos, nothing. And I've seen what brackets cause. I know from logic and analysis what WILL (not might, WILL) happen. SO yeah. I'm ignoring you. I'm 100% convinced that you either have your own motives for being for brackets, or being for chugging stims and biochems. Either way you have nothing to add to the discussion.
  3. /facepalm Fire on an NPC, test it yourself. It might fire six rockets, but it hits THREE times. (EDIT: If they changed it, it was literally yesterday and I haven't checked)
  4. No one is saying that. Instead, I propose fixing a flat tire with a spare, not pulling the nail out, slapping a bandaid on it and saying it'll be fine for the next 50 miles. There are MANY other systems that could work. Brackets are a cheap cop-out and would last a whole 2 weeks before people starting whining about the same thing happening, but with level 46s instead of 50s. Then when they cut them, it'd be level 36s. Then they'd whine more. SAME PROBLEM EXISTS, BUT WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS!!! People just can't seem to absorb that into their brain. Brackets SOLVE NOTHING.

Roll to Republic or Mute your game. Either you'll barely get huttball, or you won't hear a thing.
  6. Yeah, because a random bag system makes it so easy to get full champion gear. Go back to your bridge you troll. And guess what? You can get expertise from guns all the way down to around level 26 or 30. Yeah, so what then? Bracket everyone into their own seperate bracket? level 10, level 11, level 12, all to make it fair? Let's go all out, everyone gets 1 button and 1 HP. Winner is the first to get in range and spam the button to attack. So can keep fighting it, but you've already lost. Stop reaching and give in. You've been outplayed.
  7. I'd rather have them fix the delays, fix the difference in 'mirrored' classes and check out buffs ans stims stacking so strangely that a poor player can become superman. Yeah, I went there. Worst player on my team did the best three games in a row due to biochem and stacking stims. Luckily, his reserves ran out before it went to his head and made him believe he was a good player.
  8. For those of you saying it is impossible to get expertise before level 50, buy any weapon with expertise from the PvP Vendor, break it open, take the enhancements and equip them. Hint: Level 46 Assault Cannon holds 25 expertise. That means people saving all their warzone comms until 46 can buy 8 cannons and fully outfit themselves with expertise, then pop stims and buffs and pretend to be T3 BM PvPers in the new 10-49 bracket. Congrats, nothing was solved with brackets. Fools. OP is right.
  9. As a player of both the Vanguard and the Powertech, with a latency of 46. Tested multiple times. The rough time it takes for the Trooper to begin is 1.5 seconds. Sometimes it is 1.2, sometimes it is 1.7, but normally outside of PvP Warzones it is 1.5 (half the bar, and you can watch the numbers). The rough time it takes for the BH to begin is 0.7 seconds. Sometimes it is 1 second, sometimes closer to 1.2 (But that was during a lagspike, I'm only mentioning it as a single time it even got close). The Mortar Volley has the player stand in the same spot, without movement. The DFA jets the player into the air. One seems shorter than the other due to movement of the player, and this is a huge factor in PvP when every single quarter of a second counts. From my experience, the rockets land sooner than the 'mortars' (which are nothing more than concussion shots with a small blast). In the end, BHs can land the shot on moving targets, hitting atleast once. Where the Trooper has the lead the shot or miss entirely. Both getting interrupted (stun, mez'd, etc) lose a lot of resources, and wasted time. But in the end, the BH has the advantage. Anyone can test it for themselves. You don't even need to get your characters to a high level (roughly level 8) to test it. And in Beta I didn't have this problem. It seems they bugged it during the flip from Beta to the Server Game Test weeks before release. EDIT: TLDR- Trooper delay is roughly 1.5 seconds, BH is roughly 1 second. Advantage goes to BH.
  10. 1. I'm a mostly Republic Player. 2. It starts at 46, not 49. You can get all that at 46. And it is near the same cost as full Orange PvP Level 40 gear, which you cna skip and just buy Orange gear on the market and mod it out. 3. I'm not complaining about expertise, I'm against brackets. Most of those FOR brackets are on that train due to 50s wearing armor (PvP armor) that gives a lot of expertise. This is one of MANY of my reasons for why brackets DO NOT WORK. I have a lot of reasons for why they don't work, but no one cares. Game's getting bracketed, then again and again until we have a ton of PvP rules and brackets and restrictions and this game might as well be Nascar with glowbats.
  11. So you guys believed that brackets would fix the problem with level 50s rolling over the lower levels? So you guys thought that by pulling them away you'd get sweet relief and be free from anything with expertise, save some random person with just a gun with a tiny amount of expertise? So you think you can't make twinks? Wrong. Every game with brackets or level restrictions has twinks. Every single one. Only you fixed nothing with brackets. Level 46 Assault Cannon, bought from the PvP Weapons Vendor. Guess what is inside this? Hint: An Enhancement Mod for orange items. What does this mean? Get this. 25 expertise for any person at level 46. With 8 pieces of equipment that's 200 expertise, and that's what? 5.85% Damage, Defense and healing? Not much right? Well that's over 10% better than someone without expertise. You all of you reading this, you fixed nothing. Now anyone with 330 Warzone comms can buy a gun and pull out the enhancement. Anyone can buy 8 and equip themselves with expertise and roll over the other team at level 49. The difference? You won't have level 50s backing you up. And the total cost is actually pretty easy to get (being on par to orange PvP level 40 armor). So people can save up for this, and run PvP like mad, crushing the other team. For those debates that will try to spring up, here is a Q&A: Q: How does this make 49s so dangerous? A: 4 pieces of Champion and 1 piece of Centurion are about the same as 8 of these enhancements, give or take a piece due to slot (bracers, belt, etc not giving as much as Chestplate. But the enhancement is a constant 25) Q: But no one will waste their time getting 8 guns solely for the enhancements... A: Like no one wasted their time for level 19 twinks on WoW Pre-WoTLK, right? Q: They'd outlevel it pretty fast, correct? A: Start at level 46, PvP until 49, don't turn in quests. You can do a LOT of PvP. Q: Not everyone is that patient. A: Yep, and not everyone has time to grind the comms for 8 guns, but that just means there will be more of the 'twinks' reigning supreme without the other team stopping them. Q: Then we can make a 10-45 Bracket. A: There is gear for levels all the way down to 36 as far as I can tell. Brackets don't work. It would be better to make a matchmaking system based on Groups Queuing and the combined total levels of Ratings of a player's weapon and armor. That'd mix BM and Champs together and level low levels or undergeared people with each other. There. Hope you have a great time. Flame away. I just openned a minor Pandora's Box. I'll even bump the heck out of this if it falls too far in the pages. I'll let everyone know once they patch in the brackets. Then I'll watch the forums burn. (Note: I copied and pasted this from Notepad, so if there is a problem I will fix it ASAP)
  12. This is an EA forum. Free Speech means about as much as a bent nickel to these guys. Their Moderators are a reflection of this. Though they might not be heartless machines like their bosses, or have such an over inflated ego, they are employed by such. (80+ USD stock in 2008? Really EA? Only you thought that was possible)
  13. They can reroll. Doesn't take long to skip and level to 50. Who knows, they might even have fun.
  14. They were trying to help people that play near solely with their mouse, and don't go keyboard normal (like the rest of us). Actually, it helps console players mostly. They are now used to mouse-clicking. I'm still training one of my friends to use a keyboard. He is 19 and just now bought a computer. Has never had experience with one ever. Very poor PC player actually...
  15. Dry Sarcasm. I understand it is a learned thing, from years of social responses, but many people know it. I'm on a G73 Laptop, Asus. Sporting an ATI 5870. Nothing grand, and I have no problems outside of a green-engine looking thing next to taxis spewing forth a green wave of light over the land. Luckily my favorite color is green.
  16. Nope, I've just been using the same Windows from '97. Somehow it keeps functioning, like my un-evolved feet, and my not-so technologically advanced legs. I'm 21. I have this strange thing called, "Patience". I know most people don't have it and can't be bothered to wait a whole 1 minute, but they can also do something during those times like- A. Restock the coke. B. Change the channel on the TV C. Call someone and participate in social activity D. Take a leak. I perfer D, but Sunkist runs straight through me, personally. Would you like to know more?
  17. Pretend it is like this. Each hit activates a hidden Vibroblade in the stock of the rifle that juts out and pokes the enemy, doing massive damage by slicing through armor and flesh like a chainsaw. Then it goes back in, within 0.1 seconds, faster than your mind can catch the image and process it from your eyes. So it uses Energy Cells, our resource (not "ammo"). That energy is recharged later. (EDIT: In a simple form, it is like a reversed stock-held bayonet, that pokes out and shanks peeps)
  18. They added a bunch of ways to skip around, from Quick Travel to Fleet Pass. I'm from a generation of gamers that are used to walking. A lot. A whole lot. I'm fine with it.
  19. The voice acting is well done and worth it. But they are adding more "content" ingame in a patch every month or so.
  20. Once captured, you can take a speeder directly to it. Is that what you might be seeing?
  21. New thing I found out. You can break open PvP guns with the expertise enhancement and put it in your 49 or less character (I believe the expertise enhancements stops at 45, but I'd have to check again). So... Brackets fixed what now? (I'm not ingame, but later I might add the name, the level and the stats of the enhancement, note that I have not found a player that can craft it and I can't remember if it is bound on pickup or not. I'll probably make a thread on it later, if I do find that it is able to be used by people under level 50.)
