  1. One of the general guidelines is to have at least 1000 in your primary stat(Willpower). if you are over that then the rest of your stats should be in line to be good enough. But like the previous poster stated, try out Black Talon heroic. It is a great measuring stick(as entry stats can vary depending on the skill of the player).
  2. I am starting to believe the people who say Xalek is terrible, or dies in one hit, or cant tank crap are just terrible players themselves. Have you turned on his "defensive stance"? Do you actually look to see which of his abilities are toggled on/off? With moderate gear(I have him at about 12.5k hp) I easily solo lvl 50 champs/multiple lvl 50 elites. That is with me as a healer dpsing for 80% of the time, then topping him off. So if Xalek is getting creamed that is on you, not him.
  3. Ok my main is a level 50 Sorc, it was created solely to heal as that is the role I predominately have played (and excelled in). I have really been wanting to level a tank as it is something I have done a lot in the past and enjoy the responsibility(yes dps bores me). Looking at the three tank classes I see tons of Juggs running around, a fair amount of Powertechs out and about. However I have barely seen any Assassin tanks on my server so I was curious. The plan going in was to have 2 inquisitors and really master both sides of the class, and I still am interested in doing so. My questions are for the few Sin Tanks that may venture to these forums: Are you able to tank without many problems? - No i don't mean "is it easy" but are there inherit issues within the class that make it a poor tanking choice. Are you having fun? - Specifically with the tanking side, I don't care about the dps, or hybrid specs. I will more than likely level up as a tank spec whichever class I take. Are you satisfied with our toolkit? I am really not that interested in leveling a Juggs, but even less interested in leveling a second BH(I have one in the mid 30s and it just stalled due to boredom). Some of the Sith warrior skills look fun but i leveled with a sith warrior twice(my friend has one of each AC) so maybe it is just overexposure killing the class for me. Any opinions/enlightenment you can provide is greatly appreciated.
  4. As a healer, when i do my dailies I have switched between both tanks, and do not note much of a difference. I keep Xalek out because I prefer him cosmetically/rp wise over Khem. I solo lvl 50 elites and champions with ease with Xalek so i see no reason to ever change. So i really do not understand the "Xalek sucks so bad" threads.

  7. What the hell is overpowered about Biochem. I have it maxed, it is no different or more powerful than its counterparts in other MMOs. I took it as my first crafting skill on my first character because it was going to be a healer, and I always take this sort of crafting skill on my main healers. Most of the other crafting skills are useless at 400 because their crafted items are worse than you can get off of vendors and in pvp. So what most of you are saying is nerf the only skill with useful endgame stuff, instead of them fixing the rest of the crafting skills to have them provide something worth a damn? I am glad the tradeskill I wanted from the beginning is being nerfed because everything else sucks. I am one of the minority that really wants this game to succeed and I hope to be playing it longterm with my friends. I am being extremely patient with their pace of adding necessary features, however if they are going to go down the route of nerfing crafting skills so that they are pointless then I will just skip over them on every single character because they then just become nothing but a money sink .
  8. I am sorry but, duh? Because developers just whip together Instances(Flashpoints) and Raids(Operations) in a few weeks time and throw it into a patch. Of coarse it was being worked on for months. Also even for you cry babies that say this should have been release content. You are the same whining there are bugs in the current operations. Maybe just maybe they held this for a month to clean it up to make it less buggy? Please pick one thing or the other to ***** about. ************ about opposing crap is seriously a waste of time and perfectly good internet real estate
  9. DuAl spec is nice, will be handy at some point, but I do not think it is necessary. Unless you really hate the role you chose for your primary focus. Sure it would be fun to try out madness a bit more in pvp, but as a healer I enjoy healing in all aspects. UI is something that does need to get addressed. And they have stated it something they are taking seriously to work on. So if we could just a be a bit more patient, continue with some positive feedback on what you would like to see added(I am personally waiting until closer to the 20th when all the freeloaders who aren't going to sub start wandering off. The bugs have a dedicated team and they will continue to be fixed in small patches along with probably some of the bigger ones addressed in the major patches(ones where major code needs to be rearranged). If you aren't enjoying the game, then by all means leave. The game isn't going to see sweeping changes in their first patch. I am personally enjoying the game and I have single player games to fall on as I wait for more and more of my guild to catch up to me to start doing endgame.

  11. That thread was defined by a very select few who were so hung up on a single interview done over 6 months ago that it was more of a comedy thread on how they could obsess over that single quote. I would have posted there but I felt it was completely pointless given their ridiculous stance.
  12. I wholeheartedly disagree with every single point in your post. First of all the advanced classes do play out like very different classes. My sorcerer feels nothing like my assassin, it truly plays like two complete classes. And Bioware has built a game where you truly fell your character grow and define himself(herself) in the universe. Now too be able to completely switch how that character interacts with the world on a whim, would completely pull away from the gameplay and immersion. I leveled for the most part as a healer. I did the lower levels(the easier part of the game) as a dps to get the feel of the dps class and have some fun with the big boom spells. I actually found the game much much much easier to level as a healer. I have to constantly help dps people do their class quests. I have solo'd every single class quest, every single class elite. So the "there is a shortage of healers and tanks because its easier to level as dps" is complete horse sh*t. There is a shortage because fewer people like/are comfortable in those roles. I would ONLY be on board with AC changes if it rolled you back to level 10. You get to keep all your loot and credits, and profession levels. That is it.
  13. And you just simply do not understand how the classes were created in this game. The reason some have brought up Trooper as a counter argument is because every class in this game has a mirror, and all the abilities are mirrored between the two. Bounty Hunter's mirror is the Trooper, therefore every ability they add to Bounty Hunters must be added to Troopers to continue this balance. So if you want to ask for an ability for your class, you have to find an appropriate counter for the other class. So instead of just firing ridiculous unnecessary comments, if you want something so bad for your class spend the time to also propose the other ability. As that is whats going to be needed to get your idea considered and possibly added.
