  1. You need to climb out of the Inquisitor mission... don't screw around at the exit and just sprint/dash through it otherwise its likely to glitch out and send you back to the first entrance unable to advance... without resetting. Then look around and kill what you find. If they don't reward the perk park your character because the respawn seems to be hours perhaps even limited to a single day. Supposedly there are colicoids near the entrance of the inquisitor mission however I've never seen them. IIRC there are only a handful of the specific type needed to get the achievement. I ended up parking my first inquisitor on the cliff for a few days before I happened to log in and find the proper colicoids needed.
  2. Personally I've been enjoying playing a female assassin as my main. I don't have any advice on game content because I don't have any interest in End Game or PVP I'm just here for the story and not the drama or the speed runs or the politics or the jokes. To me the female va is just better and the assassin has the more enjoyable game play, specifically the Darkness spec, as the spin to win and fragility of the other two specs just leave me disgusted and annoyed, respectively. Best of luck and enjoy the game, it can be fun.
  3. I'm not in a place to play/confirm via my female assassin, however IIRC it also happens when you disable sprint and 'run' with the weapon out. It is annoying as it immediately breaks immersion and generally just looks horrible. I doubt very much that if this was happening with the male model it'd still be a problem.
  4. IIRC all of the end of training weapons are BoL. End of Training weapons include for example the Sith Assassin Doublesaber that Zash gives you. Near as I can remember all of those first planet modular weapons are BoL and being modular can be easily upgraded, or even down graded, as needed for a new toon.
  5. Solo and story only. I have no interest in pvp and only am even considering group content for the specific purpose of completing the story content in its intended order. If I had to pay a premium for a fully solo gamemode that let meuse my other companions in place of players fore the purpose of enjoying the full story I would in a heartbeat and never look back.
  6. As I understand it Armor Penetration works to reduce the enemy's damage reduction related to Kinetic/Energy damage. Your spec, which is the mirror of my main's spec, Darkness Assassin, deals almost* entirely in energy/kinetic damage. So while they are powers granted by the Force that is doing the damage they are still interacting with the enemy's armor which means that Armor Penetration is potentially the best spec for increasing your damage as it effects nearly all of your damage dealing powers. * discharge/force breach is the only attack I can think of that deals internal/elemental type damage and thus wouldn't benefit from armor penetration.
  7. Dark Side consular requires that you don't dismiss the dark Jedi teachings you pick up on Tython. If you can accept them and the gravity of the situation you find yourself in then a dark side, or at least a dark grey run can be interesting. I enjoy light side Inquisitor myself... The Empire side in general makes for an enjoyable light side run. Though I don't run purely based on the color of the choice but rather the results of the choice.
  8. Satele Shan - Latency issue. (15) 159.153.92.98 (16) 159.153.92.86 (17) 159.153.65.228 Those three 'hops' are the ones that are failing all others are pinging at or under 45ms while those three are at or over 135ms... when I'm not moving any movement or attempt to interact with the game creates huge spikes into the thousands and often pushes the sustained latency into the range of 400ms to 600ms. Perhaps this will help solve the issue.
  9. Both Depredating Volts and Cascading Debris will glitch and continue to play the animation endlessly until another combat session if their target and combat ends while they are being channeled. Wasn't in a position with either of my toons to test if hopping onto a mount would correct it. Tested with a 75 female type 1 body shadow and a 75 male type 1 body assassin.
  10. That's rather insulting. You sure you want new people in this game? Yeah... hard to help out people trying to get into the game or just finding themselves looking for answers and help when the chat is closed. Also... how are you ever going to find a group via chat if we all stop using it? Hope that guild you are in never dies... no one will ever be around to invite you to another because everyone stopped using chat... because that is how you deal with the toxic elements you just pretend they aren't there. Ah yes, the classic better to do nothing than even bother attempting anything because it might not work out. As the old line goes. If it was easy it'd already be done. Doing nothing simply because it is easy isn't going to help anyone. As to those regarding the different regions that the servers are intended to serve... yeah that could well be part of the situation. Here in America, it's getting increasingly hostile in the real world and a lot of people are carrying on into the game world-denying many of us any sanctuary from the mindless hate and ignorance we have to deal with on an all too frequent basis. Hells people are still threatening store greeters over masks.
  11. Even if the two are roughly equal the Knight is told to act as Kira's teacher. That puts the Knight in a position of power and influence over their student... that right there is what makes it unethical. Once someone with a position of power starts going after their underlings, for lack of a better word, they are exploiting their position and thus being unethical. They can't know if the underling is reciprocating because they feel they have to or because they want to. Simply asking the Underling doesn't really work because they might not feel they can speak freely. Might lose their job/status for example. Whenever such a dynamic comes into play it is rarely healthy and usually is just about the boss/teacher/master exercising their authority for personal gain. Note: This would also apply to any romance in which the PC is in a position of authority/power over the partner/victim... which likely means all of them... gotta love how people can't separate their power fantasies from their sex fantasies.
  12. You're correct about that. Your experience is random. You must not bother running with general chat open ever because it is all over the starting and homeworld planets and especially fleet. Yeah, there are days, more like hours here and there, where the general chats are actually fun and interesting rather than toxic and hostile... but those are the exception, in my experience, not the rule. @the OP... if you enjoy WoWC so much then by all means go play it. I'm sure part of your post is meant to show that it's nice over there, but we'd already be there if we were interested in it. As to why you are leaving... We get it the community sucks and is full of loud haters who are only interested in seeing the world burn. That's as much on the dev's for failing to set up a monitoring system for the general chats as it is on the community for tolerating it... but then most of them didn't tolerate it they ran, either away from the game or into their isolated guild only communities, and never looked back. All we can really do is try to be better than them and the haters and treat our fellow plays with the respect we expect to be shown ourselves.
  13. Is that what causes that? Interesting. I was wondering why my female bounty hunter would go maniacal in combat... Doesn't the agent have something like this as well? IIRC I've heard them laughing in combat as well. Perhaps I'm mistaken though as I played them back to back.
  14. What does "The Victors" set have to do with anything? Just throwing any Ir306 gear, assuming they can mount it, at an alt will let that alt start farming for Ir306 gear of their own as well as contribute to the pool of viable equipment.
  15. DoT's are the lords of PvE and Burst wins PvP... at least that's how it was explained to me. So Anni = PvE, and fury = PvP...
  16. I'd talk to your guildmates, assuming you have some already, I'd never consider going for end game stuff like ops without a guild/community I can relax around. They might just tell you to play the spec that you enjoy. This is the most important bit... everything after this is just me talking. As for the spec itself. I fully get the appeal, rage/focus is a fun spec to play as it flows so well and has great visuals. Have you considered playing it less as a rotation and more as a priority/flex style? I've not seen a huge difference in damage output between a rotation sequence and a flex one. Flex might get a bit more bursty at times, but that also keeps it fresh instead of mindnumbing. Though I'm not someone that's concerned with getting my toons to the bleedingedge of performance. I'm only ever concerned with enjoying them. Also as was pointed out, if you want a higher damage version of Rage go with the mara's fury spec. I don't myself because I don't like the way the Rage/Fury powers feel with a second saber. Personally I think a Rage style spec with a saberstaff and Shadow/Sin style saberstaff attacks could look awesome. Seriously though talk to your guildmates and figureout if they are concerned about what spec you play and if it'll be a problem. If it is then you've got a new decision to make.
  17. That could be neat... though I'd rather just get a buff or debuff like power... more likely to actually be usable than a cone type AoE, with a cool down no less, that only really is viable when one bothers to hunt down a specific set to support it, even then it's barely worth it as it requires specific circumstances to be worth the effort.
  18. No nausea, though it took me a while to get used to the near-instant movement as it could be disorienting at first. I generally don't like it because it is not reliable, too many times I've gotten stuck on the terrain instead of landing jumping to my target. Really wish we just had something like the Knight/Warrior Force Jump... that never fails to work as intended.
  19. Darth Mo'drak - Lord of Darkness Born to the warm dark caves of Rattatak to a bloodline long feared and shunned, Mo'drak would not long after becoming independent of his mother be sold into slavery. His clan collected a fair price for the latest, and possibly last, in a long line of great warriors and unstable monsters. The early years of his enslavement were spent working and struggling to stay alive in the new battlefield of the Empire's slave population, an endeavor that Mo'drak found himself well suited for and soon was thriving as the weaker slaves soon found themselves indebted to him as his childhood of combat training and brutal survival training combined with the increasingly common feelings that led him to secret stashes and warned him of pending attacks were proving instrumental to his survival and by extension those who stayed close to him. Everything changed for Mo'drak when by the Emperor's decree all slaves were to be tested for force sensitivity. Mo'drak found himself being taken away from his budding gang of fellow slaves, none of whom would survive the experience. Mo'drak proved himself a natural with the electro-staff and was soon proving himself capable of not only incredible feats of infiltration but also durability as he proved himself just as at home amidst the swarms of his foes as he lays waste to them with skillful strikes of his weapon as well as manipulations of kinetic force and even electricity. Though thoroughly ruthless in a fight he is drawing concerns from his trainers as he seems also too soft, often taking the time to help the less skilled learn to fight and even to show mercy in combat. Few expect him to amount to anything and the decision to send him with the batch of potential acolytes destined for Harken in their minds will ensure his defeat as Harken is nothing if not ruthless and efficient at weeding out the weak from the strong, especially those born of alien stock.
  20. Not a problem. Happy to help when I can.
  21. Normally I would advocate for you to play all the classes and find the one best for you... in this case, I'd suggest starting with a Jedi Shadow or Sith Assassin in their respective tank specs. Just keep your companion in heal mode and do your best to maintain a steady output of damage. Both classes have stealth which can be helpful in letting you bypass unnecessary fights. Keep in mind that some heroics are rather easy while others will be challenging for even the most reactive of people and can turn into a grind fest for each and every fight... just to warn you in case repeated movements can be a problem.
  22. If you are concerned about the Smartphone app you can set up and use other security key generators. IIRC google has one that is supported, in that it generates the codes correctly. You can probably find one for your computer and simply have it so long as your computer works. I use the App myself so I have no familiarity with these other options, though I know they exist. Also, 100 cc isn't much but it's better than nothing... all for the price of six extra digits added at the startup of the game? That's what three maybe four seconds of extra typing for the security of knowing that your account is now much harder to break into.
