  2. I have the same problem, and it gets worse when there is an opposing faction. Ilum is just unplayable for me. Its just retarded programming, cuz my computer is relatively new.
  3. Dude you cant divide ppl into groups like that! A and B might belong to the same group C while C and B might belong to same group A, etc. Raiders/casual/pvp/elitist/RP/blahblah is like my guild hehe. We all like to do alot of things, whatever the game has to offer. For my own I like both raiding often and doing RP and social stuff between raids, maybe some pvp if its any good and i can get a decent team with me. Some times i would play more casually, some other times put more effort into it. And some people are good at some game and some are not. Pvp is kinda poor in this game so that might be the least important thing perhaps. If pvp had some decent focus on it, i would probably play that part more often. But this game is not a good pvp game, if you compare with others. Which in turns means pvp will be more casual. You wont have elitist pvp-teams in swtor. And if someone call themselves that, well it's a joke basically.
  4. I think quite the opposite. Doing both pvp and flashpoints from time to time i get way too fast xp. I even skip some quests and at one planet my class quest had become grey. It's too easy to level up. If they removed xp from warzones it would be nicer! Would have to do all the quests then
  5. Ok, if i was 7 years old i would be scared to death by this game! I was allowed to see the original Star Wars movies at the age of 7 and became a fan back then. SW movies were not so bad to watch for children, and i didnt have nightmares about it, but this game is alot darker and more bad*****. If you play sith warrior at least
  6. Everything is possible... Remember the Civilization lead developer quit shortly after the Civ5 release. The total design failure was obvious to everyone. This game doesnt have a total design failure and is fun to play, but it can still be destroyed by patches. SWG was, so the possibility is still there. Lets cross our fingers they wont do it!   7. Uhm, why should Bioware do that because of the minority of players you speak of? I believe Bioware would be most interested in having a large playerbase, therefore trying to improve the game for the average player. If they succeed in that is another question. They nerfed slicing because it was exploitable. Some exploiters even got suspended, because i think it ruined the economy. It's not allowed to systematically exploit the game system. If you see an exploit you should report it. Bosses wasnt nerfed, but some bugs in boss encounters have been fixed. However some bosses are awfully unfair to melee setup groups. Like the boss on Belsavis in Breakthrough, which just is totally off balance for its level. Having people wiping so much while leveling isnt any fun, but in raids it should be like that. We need challenges. However in WoW, they nerfed content making everything easymode, even without half a brain you could do it without any wipe. That ruined WoW for many of us. I hope they dont do this in SwToR! Adding new content at this point was a failure btw, when the game is still bugged and patches fixing bugs and balancing the game is more needed.
  8. I hope Bioware realises its a bad idea to release new content and make game changes before fixing the bugs in the game, and that future patches will be about making the game smooth. New content would not be needed yet. Some months ahead maybe late spring it would be a good idea to release content, but to stay focused on the current bugs would be more important.

  10. Hello fellow players. I guess yall, like me, are having fun with this game, allthough struggling with the many bugs and imbalances the game has. This is normal during launch, and we have been forgiving, but now patch 1.1 has come. I seek information about bug fixes but find nothing. Allthough the official news says we get new stuff, that surely sounds cool, but it doesnt help the game any way, if not bugs are fixed. That's why I am worried. Here is the new content thats being added today: http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20120113-0 Does anyone know of any bugs being fixed or did they walk in the old classic trap, that other mmo's have gone before. Adding new content, without quality assurance on their own product? What's your take on the situation?

  12. Yup. More mature people on RP servers. Some people still do RP-stuff there (allthough the game has little to offer in terms of RP functionality) but many of us chose RP-PVP server just to chill out, play the game, and have a laugh with friends - other adult people who have learned to behave politely thus earn respect. Ofc discussions can be heated up there as well, but immature people who doesn't belong on RP servers usually quit because nobody likes them anyway so they have a hard time getting any friends. So after a while they dissapear. Which is nice
  13. LOL! Stealth Scan is a joke. Only time i have seen it work is on one of those 3 turrets when i suspect already someone stands in there guarding it. Mobile stealthers are avoiding it easily. It would be nicer if it was a cone ability that went out in one direction for a decent range. (scan forth, scan left) etc. but the current state of it is ridiculous. But your other points are valid. Merc is not bad imo.
  14. Im pimping out those who use heavy armor gear with aim because i get a lot of that being BH. That means Torian and Blizz, havent tried out Skedge much tho. They use my own stuff when i get something better, and they are good at tanking, especially Blizz. But im healer merc. So i dont really need Mako in fights unless its pvp. I shoot at enemy and heal companion and Blizz aggro is insane. He got 3 times the amount of threat skills as a juggernaut, which is kinda stupid anyway.
  15. Commendation vendors sells some cool lookin stuff that u can mod. Boba Fett helmet at vendor in Belsavis btw. Kinda whitish colour though.
  16. I disagree. Because i think its more funny that you unlock stuff you didnt know of. (unless you read the spoiler) I dont read them so i get titles without knowing it, because I chose an option, and I think it should be like that. Then after leveling you have tons of titles to choose from and chose that one you like the most, because it have some history behind it. Something you actually did during your story. But in your case I think there ought to be an alternative title to the one you missed at Alderaan. So check what u got
  17. Yes, some lvl50 troopers are near-indestructible. It might be because of good gear ofc. In pvp we have to gank up a whole lot in order to take one down, and then they burn everyone around them in no time killing many. Every class has the ability to do good damage in this game providing their stats are good for damage (gear again), allthough sorcerers atm deals the most. The fact of sorc is overpowered does not make the trooper any bad however.
  18. I have problems with him too. Boss. He seems to spew flames all around him so all who is close goes down near 50%. AOE heal helps a little but cant heal up all. Damage must thereby be about 4000 on the flames. AOE heal is about 1000 or lower (not confirmed, only relative numbers) In addition some places on ground he throws fire stuff so people must not stand there. Also he hits tank for very high damage, which all comes very fast after eachother. Was in this group: 1. Me, heal specced merc. Tried to keep the rest alive, recieveing little damage myself. 2. Juggernaut tank. Taking ****loads of damage. I have never seen a tank take this much damage before, and juggernaut in soresu form probably those who can absorb most damage from all classes. Even while I was spamming heals (makes overheat btw) i could not keep him up. 3 Powertech dps. Taking ****loads of damage while close, but able to avoid some by ranged dps. also tank-class so doesnt die so fast, still while close goes down fast like jugger. 4. Marauder dps. First one to die. Taking ****loads going down to 10% in a matter of a few sec. Healing this guy up with rest of team causing overheat only healing this one guy btw. So, i would say people must avoid damage somehow, but i dont really know how, unless you are ranged dps ofc.
  19. Thanks. I can now se what happens but isnt the abilities of juggernaut a bit bugged? I hear others in this forum say so. It could be lagging, im not sure.
  20. Thank you! I see now sometimes red scrolling text saying "parry" also. I thought first it was the mobs that parried my hits, but it might be as you say that I am parrying and this is shown in red text.
  21. No but they intended them for being done with cc abilites, which i bet you broke most of the time Some of these quests were not meant for you to aggro everything, so you were removed because you did not see your own limitations.
  22. Hey, I'm a newb juggernaut and I got some questions if someone would be so nice to spare a minute to answer. I play this class because i like class with defensive capabilities and I like tanking in general. I got the grasp on tanking basics now but I'd like to know more about the mechanics and what actually happens when i am in a fight. I can see my character deflect some blaster bolts and the message "deflect" appears, so this is neat and works even when im just standing still, making me survive turrets and stuff. I like it when I get a scrolling messages of what happens. But do messages appear in a melee fight at all? I can only see animations and i dont know if i parry or dodge anything. allthough it looks like i do it from animations, or am i missing something? Animations of my attacks seems sometimes a bit off. For example when im doing a savage strike the character sometimes raise his lightsaber but do not hit at once but then at the second strike it hits, in some cases it hits once i press the button like any other mmo. Is he parrying an attack towards him when he does that, causing this delay?
  23. I had the same prob as juggernaut, but we didnt wipe. You cant expect to tank all of those anyway. This encounter needs cc and lots of taunts, or in other cases two tankers and a healer whos good and can heal many. If any dps/tank class is in the group its np if they tank one of them. Not all of them hit so hard. Cant remember which boss hits hardest atm but you should taunt that one if it attacks someone else. But if the healer have to tank them, then you must wake up and do something mon, like taunt and hit much. I recall i lost aggro to healer on this chaotic fight but thanks to me being awake when it happened and thanks to good teamwork we went thru the whole thing without wiping. Afaik you can cc at least two of them and one does less damage and can be tanked by almost anyone. I did it also as healer and Mandalorian Raiders was relatively tough for healer too at that level, but specced with kolto missiles and reduced cast its fine. It's just bit harder game than wow, nothing wrong with it. There are other encounters that are easier for tank and some are even worse, but then good tactics are needed. Some other bosses are bugged however. Which cause wipes, but thats Biowares fault not the tank. You assume right. Because at least for juggernaut its not possible to guard anyone without being in tanking form. Thats a good point, but what class are those playing? Would be nice to know, because I suspect its basically lightsaber tanks who got the biggest problems. Dont know about assasins but their description says they can be tanks, however i havent seen any who play as tank so far. Our MT who is powertech is aoe-ing the hell out of mobs and thus doing much damage and much threat and our guild downed a raid boss today on the first raid, and he dinged 50 a coupla days ago. Powertech and Vanguard got tons of ranged damage and aoe but ofc they might lose aggro on single target as well so it would be nice to hear if they have the same problems Until then, I suspect they dont have.
  24. You have some good points, but this is not WoW and the typical melee encounters you are used to does not work fighting blaster shooters or aoe bomb thrower mobs. Healers can also CC those firing from range if tank cannot aggro them. The melee tanking seems a bit like wow vanilla before everything was nerfed and tanking made ezmode. Tanks need to taunt a lot more if tanking all alone with blasters and turrets firing from everywhere and offtanking is more viable in this game. There may be two dps/tanks in a group for example and then they dont go down in a sec like a wow-clothie pulling aggro, but can survive fine if given a small dose of kolto But you are right about one thing: that those tanks not trying to get aggro off their healer, those are really bad tanks.
  25. Yes, but maybe when inside the raid schematics could drop? Still early to say, but after people have done it alot lets say in a coupla months then there are more gear being crafted, which is better. Im just saying maybe, because i dont know what drops in the raids. It would seem feasible it did though. Then if u are in a good guild they would make some for members
