  1. Tank gear is still trash and has been since 4.0 ... crafted 246 mods and enhancements are still better than the 248 tank gear which is too high in mastery and too high in defence. Please return absorb mods to the game and shield absorb enhancements. Shadows and Vanguards and their imperial equivalents rely more heavily on shield and absorb than guardian / jugg with 44% damage reduction on a shadow you need to stack shield to 60-70% with kinetic ward active and absorb to 50% + to get mitigation to a level that reduces spike dmg to that of a tank that has 50% plus damage reduction. This was achieved in the past by dropping defence to 20%-25% and putting a large portion of stats into shield and absorb. Now that you pulled the absorb mods and shield absorb enhancements in 4.0 this is no longer possible. I was still using my 198 and 204 absorb mods on 8 and 16 man nim all the way through 4.0 till 5.0 and had much better damage reduction with this setup than using the defence intensive gear. However with 5.0 the endurance lost using 198 mods is no longer acceptable. How much longer are you going to gimp tanks and give knight/warrior tanks the gearing advantage for pve ? As for pvp tanking ..shared dmg from guarding an ally cannot be defended against as the guarded target rolls the defence chance vs shared dmg. As a tank eating shared damage we can only hope to shield or resist ...so why does every piece of tank gear come with defence all over it ... defence is one of the last things a tank prioritises When gearing a tank you set out to achieve target one .. maximum shield chance before DR gets to hard, target two ... maximise absorb with remaining slots ... whatever is left goes into defence. You ever wonder why its so hard for pugs to find tanks for ops and flashpoints ? Because gearing and playing tank has been total cancer since 4.0 .. I don't do it for the love of the class anymore I only play tank for my raid team

I remember talking with Ixale, Wicked and Lancard etc that night on how biowares devs are so stupid that they inadvertently break other boss mechanics in a raid when fixing other ones. Up until that date in the link above we never even saw a double mine unless a player was dead, from this date on it happened almost every pull, it was a crappy night for us coz a boss we had pretty much had on farm went back to being progression again, but after lvling up in RL and a few hours wiping it was sorted. Many people have highlighted this over the past year and 4 months, bioware do not really care, I take their silence on this matter as being their way of saying we don't give a 5h1t deal with it. But I can specifically remember saying in mumble that night " How much of a retard do you have to be ? To change the way shoot lasers target and accidentally break the mechanics of mines on a totally different boss in the same patch " .

    If your talking about the sets from 8v8 ranked that required rating than yes. You could learn and craft these as synth and arms but you needed 2k rating to use them.
  5. DF or DP with the original Nim power buff were extremely challenging and required a lot more perfection than the easy mode that they are currently. Original 3.0 Revan HM with 1.5 sec aperations before they dumbed it down for slow pokes or 3.0 cora
  6. Oh damn if only you had a skill that buffed your movement speed by 30% and purged any active movement imparing effects .. Or a second skill that made you invisible and increased your movement speed and cant be talented to cleanse root / snare Or maybe even a skill that can be talented to let you move in any direction instantly 20m talented to purging immobilizing effects .. If only mara had one if not all 3 of these skills that would be so cool ..oh wait ..
  7. You cant defend damage that is shared so shield is pretty much all you can use anyway

  10. If i remember correctly if its 0-0 on doors then it goes down to team with the most kills wins. There is old patch notes from way back that mentioned this change. However if its 1-1 2-2 or 3-3 etc then its either who ever got to that final objective the fastest or whichever team has the most medals / objective score.
  11. Go run EC NIM Kephees with double op healer and double sin tanks and see how painful the single target burst healing is. The aoe is not the issue .. its that they are really lacking in single target compared to what they used to be able to do

  15. When are you going to address the fact that tanks do not need 3000 defense rating and fix the stats so gear has absorb mods again instead of too much defense ? Why even create an enhancement with absorb and defense on it just for 4.0 it does not make sense what so ever Option 1 shield defense option 2 should have been shield absorb ..

As a PT / Vanguard tank I use missile blast / explosive round to hit the center add of the 3 adds that spawn on grobthok nim so I can get agro of them and drag them into fire before the other tank gets pushed by roar, I understand these changed are meant for PT dps in pvp but really .. rail shot to 10m is enough to balance it nobody in their right mind uses missile blast as dps all this is doing is inconveniencing tanks just like the removal of unload which was amazing for tanks when 3.0 landed.
  17. Why are you focusing on garbage like this .. We currently have sorc and sage healers putting out around 2k more ehps in pvp than any other healing class, tanks in full dps gear being able to face roll dps not just 1v1 but usually 1v2. not to mention off healing being out of balance. But dont worry heres another cartel pack a story chapter and a weapon effect trash to play with in the meantime

So a few people in my guild started reporting after last weeks patch that they were having connection issues in game, personally last week I did not bother investigating as I was not having any issues. Lately tho I've been playing on 4g a lot more so I've been monitoring how much data the game uses on a daily basis since no company in the UK will give unlimited data for 4g tethering. Today I started to notice some latency spikes in war zones particularly, too me these spikes felt like what people were describing last week so I started to investigate the cause. I was very annoyed to find the bit raider client that basically torrents patches and game files was using more of my upload then the game client was using. So I immediately "End Task" on the bitraider.exe processes and lone behold the red bar and ping spikes in game suddenly stop. So I ask myself this .. why do bio ware think they can use our machines and connections to distribute their software for them saving costs of providing download servers for themselves, making our game play worse by not restricting how much it tries to upload. You dint even ask our permission and have a check box to agree, Bit raider auto installs with the new launcher .. Basically you are stealing from your customers stealing our machines resources, stealing from our energy costs our monthly bandwidth costs. Please get rid of the bitraider system and provide your own direct download servers and pay your own costs, thus improving connectivity and latency for all players
  20. When his shield finishes its channel on 16 sm all you get is one knock back then hes immune for around 2 mins then he starts taking damage again. It is still doable your statement is somewhat exaggerated. The only thing that will wipe you is if you stand in a stupid place and get pushed down the hole in middle or pushed of .. you would have to be the type of pleb that dies to 12 o'clock apparition on HM to fail this.

  22. Why does the launcher still have a link to 3.3.2 update notes .. I mean if you went to all the trouble of developing a new feature on the new style launcher and then not bothering to update it, a complete waste of your own development time and costs ?
  23. And yet still no Dev response to the fact any large non humanoid Boss with Conal telegraph type cones across the floor are broken. Green safe areas on under lurker not correct because boss positioning is displayed wrong, blaster scatter blasting the fence direction 100% when active tank is facing a total different direction, Revan impales not moving with tank, Hands of Brontes cones slamming effect across center of room so dps and heals on fingers have to dodge spike of pain with purple on purple effect. Plz lvl up and fix ur shizzle

This is because blaster is refusing to move and face the active tank he just points his face to the wall no matter who has agro on him, seems they have been tweaking DMG output on some fights where they had got the scaling seriously wrong as master is not hitting anywhere near as hard as he used to with overpowered charge arm. As a result of lack of testing they have released something else broken .. not really surprised at all tbh
