  1. Then. Don't. Duel. Sheesh. That's like saying "I don't like pve so they shouldn't add a new operation". Btw, /signed.
  2. He never said HK-47 is the last boss. He said the same thing that drops off him also drops off the last boss of an operation (soa). Well, true, but normal operations aren't really supposed to be better loot, because they're so easy. It's just a faster way of gearing up for hardmodes. For better weapons go run normal karagga's palace.
  3. Yes. Since spamming chain lightning isn't viable in any raid encounters anyway, it's barely a nerf. Just blows for pvp and trash, and the few occasions when you like a bit of burst (4th boss in karagga, soa phase3, etc)
  4. Its only saving grace is that very few sorcs seem to use purge actively. Personally, I spam it all the time, so I can safely say I will never have any trouble against a madness sorc. In an organized and skilled environment (hello ranked non-pug warzones) a madness sorc will be very poor. What creeping terror needs is to have an anti-dispel thingie, like warlocks had (have?) in wow. I think every dot tree in the game needs one on top of the tree. To those who didn't play wow, the dot in question basically exploded when it was dispelled, dealing a nice bit of burst damage. It pretty much meant you could stack your dots and it wouldn't be worth dispelling them.
  5. It is true. Few players are actually in a position to judge who the MVP was anyway. My huttballs are usually so quick that I give them to people who failed to get their 4th medal. Most often the medals just go for healers. As a full-time ballcarrier I only get votes from my guildmates, because the scoreboard doesn't show my contributions. So it definitely doesn't need a buff. Right now it's just a small bonus, as it should.
  6. There was just a pic of a juggernaut doing almost a million dps. Even I've managed 500k in mostly columi gear with a few champ pieces. Juggs are fine at the moment, just not sure about next patch. And also, I'd have a juggernaut carrying ball any day over an assassin.
  7. I'm scrapping my sorc I think. I'll continue raiding with her, since that nerf isn't that big over there, but for pvp, nah. When bioware decides to make full specs good, then maybe I'll go for it again, but right now I'm just valoring up my juggernaut. Yea, I know, da jugg will also get nerfed, but I hope he'll still be fun to play after. Since I only have a sorc, a jugg, and an operative at 50, and all are getting nerfed (actually scrapped my operative way before, when the first big nerf happened), well, I gotta play one nerfed class. It's not really the nerfs that bother me, but the fact that they're killing a whole playstyle for my sorc. I don't like playing a full dot class with no burst (madness), and I don't like lightning because.. well, it sucks imo. Thundering blast is just far too weak. So juggernaut it will be, and I just hope Bioware knows what they're doing with the rage nerfs. It's actually kind of funny. My juggernaut started out in life as my pve main (first char). Never played any pvp with him. Then made a pvp alt in operative, and then a sorc alt when I heard they were ruining him, and now I'm raiding on my sorc and just started pvp on my jugg last week after I heard about the death of the hybrid. A complete reversal of roles for my two characters that I play.
  8. I did 290k damage in huttball on my powertech at level 11. Bolster system works so well that you're never too weak as a lowbie.
  9. Afaik they're both bis right now for pve dps (or at least the HM version of burning force is), but I think the cube wins out. Why not use both for pve? For pvp burning force isn't all that good though, better go with a use relic I think.
  10. Quite hard to get excess rage as immortal, but yes, in a situation as described above, you should of course use a spender instead of a builder first.
  11. Meh, you don't need purples to run BT, but greens might be a bit poor for a dps to have. I think the first time I did BT way back in december we were all in blues, possibly some greens as well, and didn't hit enrage timer on any boss.
  12. My guess is you also skipped all the bonus series. Find a bonus series more appropriate for your level and go do that. I'm pretty sure there's always at least one you could do.
  13. I've lead pug EV's a lot, but I must say I don't really like running it with randoms. It's such a pain to lead when people don't pay any attention to what's going on. Especially clear on SOA, but I've had people mess up on every single boss, even pylon and the council. I mean how do you screw up council? Ugh. We've always cleared the whole operation though, but it's just annoying. KP I've pugged once. I lost my will to live when after 15 minutes I still couldn't get my ranged dps to understand how the puzzle works, even after showing it to them a dozen times. In the end I had to do it with two friends (the rest were randoms), one of whom was our best melee dps (one was ranged dps and I was maintank), so we ended up hitting enrage timer and wiping, since we were one dps short. We did manage it in the end, but even after the fight I don't think our randoms understood the puzzle. So yeah, it's not very hard to pug these operations; just takes a certain attitude that I don't possess.
  14. Oh wow, this really does suck. On my sorc I even took the stalker BM set for the better bonus, and replaced the useless accuracy enhancements with power/surge and crit/surge from columi and champ gear. All my gear will be spoiled come 1.2 then, with no way to save it, unless I buy new bm pieces aimed at sorcs. Well, thanks for the info. Luckily I shelved my sorc and started working on my jugg. Will be hitting BM some time next week. Gotta keep the stupid accuracy mods in then... gimping myself now to gain an edge once 1.2 hits. Man, this is stupid.
  15. Nah. I queue mostly with friends, and if the game isn't over in 10 minutes (often takes far less), it's usually an exciting and close match. If it stopped at 3, some of my best huttballs would never have happened. I know pug huttball can be quite awful when your team doesn't really play for goals, but I don't want to see a great, fun warzone nerfed because some people (regrettably the majority on some servers, I'm sure) don't really get how it's supposed to be played. And don't worry, if pug huttball sucks on your server, next patch you'll be seeing a lot less of it.
  16. Dunno if there's any actual math done on the topic, but expertise does get pretty high DR after a certain point. Most good players who also pve prefer to mix in a little bit of pve gear, aiming for around 500 expertise. It's definitely worth using, say, columi instead of centurion gear, so long as you got some expertise. After a certain point, it's also good to use rakata over champ gear. Is it worth using rakata over BM though? I don't know. For some set bonuses, sure. I can safely say you won't be gimping yourself in any way if you do. I prefer to mix in a little rakata on my sorc at least, having like 490 expertise (~10%) presently. My guess is you won't notice a difference, but at least your health pool will increase.
  17. So let's say I like to play with 3 friends, as I do, in warzones. Can I queue for rated warzones with just 4, or do I need the full 8? Will the inclusion of rated warzones force me to either solo queue or to recruit randoms to my team?
  18. Honestly, I've had better pvp in Ilum after the patch. There's always some people in the middle collecting armaments. More often than not you meet some people of the opposing faction. Just bring a group, and go for some small-scale world pvp. Far more fun than the zerg we used to have.
  19. I actually think JK might end up being female canonically, if any of ToR's player characters ever become canon like that. The trailer showed a female JK after all. If I had to guess I'd say the genders shown in the trailers would be canon. Male Consular as well then. I think the biggest question is the agent, since his story can end drastically differently based on your choices. I suppose the canon ending will be the one where you stay with the new imperial intelligence. So male agent, loves the empire, not very big on Sith, no serious romances, and manages to save imperial intelligence. But well, we'll see what happens when the story continues.

    Why juggernaut?

    Taunts and intercede and push.
  21. Or just keep playing pyrotech. The 6sec cd with increased chance will just make the proc far more reliable, and thus more fun to play overall. Sure, the long proc streaks are fun now, but those times when you keep spamming and it doesn't proc, and you end up overheated, those are not so much fun. You have abilities beyond rail shot anyway.
  22. Who says it's meant to be a buff? Probably meant as a nerf from the start. The immobilizing effect is pretty damn powerful especially in huttball against ballcarriers, since resolve doesn't affect it. Probably Bioware realized that and thought it needed a change.
  23. Now since we can't use it for chain lightning anymore, and since we all know that using it for lightning strike is a dps loss, how about making a wrath proc remove the cd on crushing darkness? It would give you at least something to do with wrath, and I really don't see how it could be overpowered, since chain lightning these days is almost always the better thing to cast in pvp.
  24. Pretty much everything in the SW finale. I think most of the good ones can be found in this topic, but my favorite is probably just the simple "I wash the galaxy clean of you" followed by a lightsaber in the stomach. The delivery is just perfect, and the male warrior's voice is amazing, especially with a helmet on. And the music... damn, I wish I could replay that scene. Thank god for youtube at least.
