  1. Well, this is pretty much the rush hour in Europe. They could just keep inviting us!
  2. Mostly true above, but barrels are armstech, and Artifice also makes crystals. But artifice and cyber work really well together, because they make all the possible upgrades besides barrels, which you will not need. e: And cyber's mods go on armor AND weapons, and the enhancements of artifice go on both as well. Just to clarify.
  3. It's useful for healers too, no doubt. Medpacs can be useful for even a healer, especially if they're free to use, as they will be for you. The stims and adrenals are just as useful to you as to anyone else. I believe, but don't quote me on this, that only the reusable items are restricted to you, the crafter. Everything else can be sold off.
  4. Sort of unrelated to the matter, but just a fun lil' story: In the days of vanilla wow, there was this thing called a Black Lotus, used for all the flasks (very important for hardcore raiding). I recall it selling for something like 15 gold each on my server, fair enough. When I decided to migrate to another server for a new guild with friends, I got this idea to scout out the ah and see how the prices differed. Well, I noticed that on that server, the BL sold for around 30 gold. Cool, I thought, I'll make some money with those. So I spent almost 5000 gold buying Black Lotus on my old server, and when I migrated, I almost doubled my money selling them away. And in those days, that was a HUGE amount of money. Back when most people could never afford an epic mount for around 800 gold. Needless to say I was pretty much set for life. So there are some fun ways to "exploit" the auction houses in mmorpgs.
  5. http://www.torhead.com/schematics/catg/3/page/1 Please, find me ONE enhancement with +will or +str. Or to save you the trouble: there are none. You get endurance on all, and stats like crit and def and accuracy. If what you were saying was true, then you could not make enhancements for non-force users at ALL. e: and below poster reminded me of crystals as well, and the same holds true for those.
  6. Untrue. Artifice and cybertech create mods for different slots, and for all purposes.
  7. Seems so. You'll need to use the money you get from slicing for AH and buying the required materials there, if you want to level up a crafting skill. Bummer, I know.
  8. I've heard, but have not confirmed, that if you take Cybertech, you'll get bop grenades with unlimited uses, kind of like how a Biochem-guy gets unlimited medpacks.
  9. Right, that's a bit of a bummer, but alright. I wasn't sure if UW trading offered anything unique, or was just another way of getting things. I guess I'll go with trading and get slicing and gathering skills on one of my alts.
  10. Is there no point in taking Slicing instead of Underworld Trading if you're going for cybertech? I know you also get cyber schematics from Slicing, and I kind of like the idea of having slicing for flashpoints and for all the extra money, but if Underworld Trading is really important for Cybertech... then I guess I'm stuck with that. Anyone with experience have anything to say?
  11. I kinda want to take Cybertech as Sith Jugg. Armoring and mods should be great as a tank, plus all the other neat bonuses. I really don't see why non-force-users would gain more from it.
  12. You'll just miss many of the bop items the crafting skills provide. All of them have something great that is unique to only the crafter. But yes, I suppose you will be a far richer man by the time you reach level 50 than those who used their money and resources to craft stuff. Definitely go with slicing then.
  13. What I'd like to know is why Cybertech is not recommended for force users? It sort of seems like a good fit for any class, due to the earpieces, grenades and all the possible mods, which can be used with any class in the game. What's not to like? I was kind of thinking of getting it for my Jugg tank mostly due to the armor mods, but also because it looks like a lot of fun.
