  1. I just completed Chapter 3 a few minutes ago and I'm getting the same problem. I have the heroic ability, icon lights up on the character selection, but no Chapter 3 achievement, no cartel coins, etc. It's not THAT big of a deal, but still kind of annoying.
  2. I unsubscribed...last Friday? I honestly didn't think I would, but I'm not even playing the game anymore and I need to free up $15 for my folks (yes they're paying for it). 1) Hard to get into content - I play, or played rather, on Hyperspace Cannon and it was just a miracle to actually find a group for any flashpoint or hell, the heroic dailies. I wasn't even able to do the end game Ops because it was so hard. Sure I was in a guild, but they were either unresponsive, not online, or busy in their own FPs/Ops. Yes I was also being lazy and playing other games too, but that's how I really play games. I don't stay focused on one game for hours upon hours. I gotta take breaks. 2) Leveling - While BioWare can say leveling characters is the best part of the game and a lot of people can say that, I will pretty much semi-agree. I got only one character to max level and after that, I just didn't want to get any other character to it, at least Republic. I've done all the planet side quests once, why oh why would I want to do them again? I want to just see the class stories, but I HAVE to do the side quests. Yes I know that's like every other RPG and what not, but the side quests in this game are just so dull after a while. I was having fun with my Imperial...until it just got repetitive again. 3) Legacy/Character Slots - My biggest issue with this game is the legacy system. Sure it's cool, but it's just a huge credit sink. Even then, by the time the system came out, I had almost all of my character slots full. Putting the legacy system out so late just seems pointless to me now. The legacy system still isn't even that great to me aside from the character slot problem. I just found little use for it. 4) Had no one to play with - A bit personal on my part, but also goes back to my first point. I was going into the game with the thought that my friends were going to play this game. And they did...for a while. Then they stopped playing and going to other things. The main friend that I was leveling multiple characters with started playing Final Fantasy XI while staying sub'd to this. I couldn't level the characters I wanted to because I wanted to stay with him else he get mad at me (petty but we're quite good friends). I had other friends who started playing the game, but they wanted to be on higher pop servers, so they didn't play on mine. I didn't even want to play on that server BECAUSE of the legacy system. It was pointless. My legacy is already high level and good to go on this server, why switch to another where I don't have one? 5) Other games had my interest - To cap it off, and like it says, other games just had my interest. I was playing Heroes of Newerth 10x more than TOR. I'm playing Diablo 3 at the moment and that's way more fun than TOR. There's just a lot more things I can do at the moment then sit on the space station and just watch chat roll by. And I know I may get flamed for this considering the 1.3 update reveal, but I'm pretty sure I could enjoy WoW more than this due to an actual group finder. I'm probably not coming back for 1.3 to be honest. There's no new content. Yes I can start accessing the current content with the group finder, but it's set to server-side, something I just don't think is a good idea AT THE MOMENT. With most servers having dismal populations, it's almost going to be just as hard to find groups. Maybe easier, but...we'll see.
  3. Same server and it's saddening to see how it was decently populated a while back, and now it's nearly impossible to get a group going for heroics and stuff. A server merge would be so nice right about now...
  4. Not exactly. As quoted from the Star Wars wiki (OHBOY A WIKI QUOTE): "The Mandalorians—known in Mando'a as the Mando'ade, or "Children of Mandalore"—were a nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species and multiple genders, all bound by a common culture." So, Mandolorians are just basically a clan of warriors (mostly) that consist of multiple species including Humans. You just see more Humans than other species because...well actually I dunno why they just appear more often. But if you play the BH storyline, they'll even say when you play like a Zabrak they don't have time to make you a mandolorian. It's just basically being made part of a clan.
  5. I'd actually say more around 40. 45 you should at least be on Voss, which is right in the middle of Act 3.
  6. From what I've read, courtesy of the PTS patch notes ala copy-paste "License costs for Vehicle Piloting rank 1, 2, and 3 have been reduced." So no, nothing is being made free, just reduced. Except for sprint. :|
  7. I thought the same thing when they previewed it. I was like uh...this isn't really showing anything. Then I quickly realized that they were showing a Miraluka Sith Warrior on Korriban, and I was like oh.....so we can make opposite faction races now or something? I can make a Sith Consular? Perhaps, but who knows. The lack of information on the Legacy system has been what's mostly been bothering me, not the other crap that's been going on. Rest of the video seemed fine to me. PVP and PVE sections were whatever, wasn't expecting much. UI was great and so was guild bank.
  8. Who said anything about D3 killing an MMO? As you said, Skyrim didn't kill WoW or anything. RPGs last for so long, even Diablo. Sure Diablo 2 still has a strong community and so will D3, but it won't kill an MMO straight off. Games don't kill MMOs, the community does.
  9. Battlefield came first. In my mind, CoP copied BF, but hey two different games and has nothing to do with TOR at all! As for the actual question, I feel like it's a great single player experience when I'm playing solo. I feel that way in WoW and any other MMO. But when I play with other people, it feels like a multiplayer game, and there are other elements that make it feel like an MMORPG to me. Solo = single. Playing and leveling solo = single player. Playing and leveling with others/friends = multiplayer.
  10. I want them to keep complaining. It gives me a good laugh at night before I go to bed. Makes me go to bed with a smile on my face.
  11. I wholeheartedly agree with you. I've been having fun since I got into Early Access.... regardless of being on vacation and on this crappy laptop. Still having fun!
  12. At first I raged when I saw the title and the two reasons. And then I read the OP and laughed my *** off. Well played sir, my hat is off to you.
  13. A. Yes, had a fantastic time with SWG. Lots of great memories. B. Yes, still have a subscription to it (along with TOR). Lots and lots of great memories with it and made some fantastic friends through it as well. Looking to do the same with TOR.
  14. When you get to the space station after the starter planet, you'll notice a huge increase in player activity. Not to mention people are still trying to level so it's going to be spread all over the place.
  15. I don't get it. If the website was under maintenance, you wouldn't even be posting on the forums. They had maintenance like 13 hours ago, but other than that...
  16. Just got in, pre-ordered Dec. 9th around 3-5PM or so.
  17. There's the answer right there. We (I was a general tester too) played the game before anyone. We know a lot more information than a good amount of players right now. We can wait easily until we get invited, and if you pre-ordered in December like I did, then just wait a few hours and you'll get in. Patience young one, you will get your turn.
  18. He's not talking about the actual class. He's talking about the advanced class, which people have been asking if they could swap at any time, which they can't of course.
  19. How does that even answer the OP's question? In regards to the OP, I know I tried adding it to Steam with the beta, and had the same problem. It would be awesome if we could figure out a way to get it to work with TOR, but xfire's going to be the only way for now I guess.
  20. Bonus wave. Bonus wave. Bonus Wave. Don't be dumb here BioWare. Do it. /forcepersuade You will give us a bonus wave and invite everyone who is left.
  21. I have nearly lost my patience with BioWare today. Yesterday they said they were going to stop at the end of November, which was ridiculous to me. Then, I had hope this morning when they said they were sending out extra waves thinking I would actually be able to play! I've been out driving in the rain taking people to different places, basically being a chauffeur, almost probably got in a wreck a few times, and yet I still had hope that when I got home, I'd be able to play TOR. Well, final wave has been sent and still not in. I've been trying to keep calm this entire week, but I'm just about to burst over this. Why in the hell would you leave out JUST a few days, when you're CONSTANTLY putting up new servers as proof by your twitter? There is NO logic for this at all. I am so glad I played in the beta and know I'm going to love the game, but this EGA has just been pissing me off this entire week, and this only puts the icing on the cake. Thank god I'm going to be home this weeke-ohwait, I'm going to be busy going on vacation. Awesome. :| Also, December 9th. Obviously no invite.
  22. I just re-read Stephen Reid's post and realized something that also doesn't make sense. He said they're adding more servers tomorrow, which is great and all.....but one would assume they'd be up by at least what, 7 PM CST? Let's look at how today played out: 1) All 4 waves out by noon CST. 2) Servers remain on light and standard until about 5-7 PM CST. 3) A large amount of servers were being put online after the invites were sent out and were eventually brought up around 7 PM CST give or take. 4) Servers reached standard, heavy, very heavy, and full levels after 7 PM CST. What I'm trying to point out here is that a LOT of people won't be home to play TOR during the day when you're putting up new servers, nor when the invites come out. If you're putting up new servers to accommodate the rest of the EGA and then launch...well I'm SURE there is enough room for December tomorrow. You cannot tell me that after putting up a large amount of servers today and tomorrow that the servers are just suddenly going to blow up if December gets invited tomorrow along with October and November. Sigh, only one can hope BioWare has the common sense to invite December tomorrow
  23. Sadly yes, I would rather prefer that. I know it's not what everyone likes, but at least we don't have people having to make educated guesses on when they actually get to play the game. The problem I have understanding is when looking at the weekend tests which were essentially stress tests, shouldn't BioWare be prepared to let in a ton of people in one day? I know the 20th and the 25th are going to be huge days for letting people in, but when it comes down to early access, I just have that feeling the numbers won't be as large compared to the actual release day + Christmas. It honestly bothers me still that they're almost treating this week as a soft-stress test, which I understand, but it's also irritating and annoying customers at the same time. While they did say back in July it would be based on when you put in your code and everyone knew that, do you honestly think people really liked the idea then? They spoke up about it, but since the release was unknown at the time (since the date wasn't announced 2 months after pre-orders came up), no one cared until...well now. Look at the forums and...well I don't think I need to say anymore.
