  1. Good bosses to test your DPS on are the first boss in EV Nightmare (healing through the missile bursts) and the third and last boss of KP Nightmare. All these encounters give you serious up time on the boss without too many interruptions. It's natural for our DPS to fluctuate somewhat in EC HM because of all the gaps in our dps and running about. Toth and Zorn are a pain as much of the time you have to throttle your DPS if the raid is burning through the encounter too quickly plus the constant running back and forth.
  2. Probably a good idea to actually post some gameplay rather than character creation and then people can post their thoughts.
  3. Sith Pureblood for my Juggernaut, also body type 3. Seems to work best with the background of your character (you are from a high-born, noble Sith family). You also get a few specific dialogue choices that refer to your Pureblood race in the game, which is a nice touch.
  4. Thanks for inadvertently making my point. And for the quick edit lol.
  5. No it doesn't. EA and Bioware most certainly do not work for you, not in any sense. You need to get that mentality out of your head. They may give the impression that they do this for the fans and the old BioWare may have done so, but now that they are part of EA this is not the case. They work for their shareholders by putting out a product that customers are willing to pay for. All I'm saying is there are ways and means of complaining. One such way is just cancelling your sub and telling EA why you are doing so. Another less impactful way is making a post here. But being rude just for the sake of it, without any form of clout behind you, will not do anything except make you look stupid.
  6. I don't have a problem with subscription renewal ploys such as the ones mentioned above, that's just standard marketing that all MMOs I'm sure employ. What I do have a problem with is when I am lied to by someone on the pretext of promising something so I will opt for a 6 month subscription on the basis that I will see all this content roll out "month after month". That is really bad and for that very reason I cancelled my recurring sub.
  7. The biggest thing for me, apart from all that mentioned by others above, I think has to be the blatant lie that was the guarantee of content rolling out every month after 1.2. That was just a barefaced marketing deceit that was designed to keep people subscribing with absolutely no truth behind it. James Ohlen must have known what he was saying was not the truth and that for me was just appalling behaviour - plus a total lack of respect for the playerbase.
  8. Ordering people who don't even work for you back to work isn't just rude, it's ridiculous. Plus it achieves nothing but contempt. Keep adopting that attitude in life and see how far it gets you.
  9. There's no need for that kind of rudeness. It's one thing to be angry but quite another to be obtuse.
  10. They are not saying anything because they're not sure what the problem is or they're not sure how to fix it. Once they work that out then they will give a timeframe. They don't want to be in a position where they promise something when they're not 100% sure it will work - I mean look at the raging over just this, can you imagine how some hysterics would respond if they delayed the patch or the patch didn't fix the problem. I do agree though that it seems very unprofessional that patches are not thoroughly tested before going live, especially ones that don't seem needed in the first place. But I am not an MMO developer (thank god), merely a paying customer, so what do I know?
  11. Completely agree mate. But we are in desperate need of either a 1 min CC (droid only would be fine) or a better defensive CD than that utter abomination of an ability, Enraged Defence. That ability is such a joke it offends me to have it on my toolbar.
  12. Just to clarify, yes the above combo is the better choice if you already meet or exceed the (unbuffed) 29-30% crit rating, 70% crit damage thresholds and therefore only require power BUT if you are not meeting these thresholds yet then the matrix cube in one slot and the WH relic in the other is still the better option. Also just grab the BM power relic for now as it only has ~10 less power than the WH one. You can grind the WH one when you have more time later.
  13. Sorry mate it is possible because I and many others were doing it with some regularity pre 1.3. With fully augmented BH/Campaign gear it is now possible to push 1800 dps+ on fights such as Annihilation Droid, Foreman Crusher and Keragga. You should be pushing about 1500 dps on these fights if you have reitemised your Rakata gear properly (and presumably if you know how to prioritise your abilities and cooldowns correctly).
  14. Conversely if Rampage doesn't proc for extended periods during boss fights it can become enormously frustrating. Personally as much as I love playing the Juggernaut, I'm not a big fan of the RNG element to our priority system when it is so pivotal to doing decent/very good DPS. I think it should be removed or the odds should go up to a 50% chance to proc Ravage on Impale and Shatter.
  15. He's not saying she's literally Eleena, but having Vette as your slave mirrors the Malgus / Eleena relationship for the Sith Warrior character. Who knows maybe in a future expansion we will have the option to kill / betray her like Malgus did. I doubt it though.
  16. Ok we are straying from the topic somewhat here but I will elucidate. To take the analogy further, when something that you have been complaining about continues to malfunction despite numerous polite requests it is only natural that customers will become frustrated with the manufacturer. Forums all over the internet are filled with angry posts because that's just the way the world works - these forums are a means of communication created by the manufacturer precisely so the customer has a direct line to the developer/manufacturer. Sometimes you have to write an angry post or two just to communicate that you are unhappy with the situation, just as sometimes politeness is the better course of action. Both have their place and to be honest the amount of annoying bugs in this game (lag, boss fights etc) plus the utter lack of cohesion in others (gear itemisation being the most blatant example) and BW's frequent inappropriate responses, or lack thereof, merits an angry post or 10. So all things considered I don't think the tone of the OP's post is unwarranted given how long this game has suffered from one (or several) variety/ies of encounter-breaking bug/s or another. The fact that the CS rep has responded to this thread is encouraging but ultimately doesn't really mean anything beyond the fact that they were unaware of the issue having presumably missed it during testing. Not encouraging.
  17. What annoys me a bit is that people come onto these forums and keep on asking the same (or similar) question: Is Jugg dps/ Vengeance viable in PvE? I applaud the stalwarts who answer these questions fully every time: Elyx, ImmortalAlien, KingFink - you guys are awesome - but for the love of God to the OP (and others who ask the same question) .. SEARCH THE FORUMS! This question must have been answered a thousand times already by now!
  18. IT really is astounding how there is no official acknowledgement of this yet. My guess is that BW are working on it but don't want to draw attention to the problem by having a CS rep acknowledge it when no fix is in site. They used this approach with a few other annoying bugs, such as the Sith Pureblood helmet issue and famously with the Soa bugs and suddenly after x amount of weeks/months they were fixed. My guess is this will go on for a few more weeks and suddenly we'll see a correction in one of the patch notes along the lines of: "Fixed a latency issue in the Explosive Conflict Operation which caused some players to yadda yadda yadda".
  19. What kind of utterly misguided fanboy logic is this? Are you prohibited from complaining about a faulty TV you have bought because you have never built a TV before? Of course not! It's the same here. We all pay money for a (so called) premium game service so we are entitled to complain if we think the game isn't working as intended. Your kind of thinking helps no one.
  20. Actually that's an interesting observation - are there any points at all in EC HM (boss encounters, not trash) where this talent is activated? It's a genuine question, I'm struggling to think of any. If that's the case then it does make this talent worthless and much better to spend the points elsewhere if you are only raiding EC / EC HM
  21. What are you on about? No one is demanding anything here - it's simply one person asking others for their thoughts on the state of Jugg DPS and then asking for tips on how to get the most from his class, which is surely one of the reasons this particular forum (Juggernaut) was built for. You've just taken an interesting thread and completely misinterpreted it - and contributed absolutely zero benefit as a consequence. I'm almost impressed.
  22. PVE DPS Juggernaut (Vengeance) Answers: 1. Below average DPS and certainly below that of equally geared Marauders, Mercenaries, Powertechs and Sorcerors. 2. Vengeance Juggs are too reliant on gear and only really become competitive when they have top tier gear + augments and money to spend tinkering with mods etc. If you have all that time then you can turn a Juggernaut into a worthy PvE melee dps but Marauders are still the more reliable choice for all out damage which is frustrating when you have spent a lot of time modifying your Juggernaut (too much time if I'm honest). BW please note: Do you intend for dps Juggs to be competitive with the other pure dps ACs? I don't think so, all you have to do is look at the BH and Campaign gear we have been given: it's mostly all endurance but lower strength than previous tiered gear. It's high in accuracy but low on power / crit. It seems from looking at the post 1.2 PvE gear that BW intends for DPS Juggs to be good enough dps to beat enrage timers but our primary role is that of emergency off-tank in Ops - essentially far more of a utility spec rather than pure DPS like Annihilation Marauders or Arsenal Mercs. BW I think you need to come out and vocalise what you envision the role of the DPS Juggernaut to be, because at the moment it is quite unclear.
  23. Hi mate - I think it would probably be a lot more constructive if these thoughts (with a little bit more detail) were expressed in the new thread BW have started and stickied at the top of this forum which expressly ask for thoughts on your AC and ways in which you think they should be improved, if at all. I don't mean to bash the intentions of this thread, as I'm sure they are to debate the merits and boons of Jugg DPS but I just think they'll carry more weight and probably have a much higher chance of being seen by BW if they are in that thread. My immediate thoughts are that I sort of agree with you - DPS Juggs are too reliant on gear and only really become competitive when you have top tier gear + augments and money to spend tinkering with mods etc. If you have all that time then you can turn your Jugg into a worthy raid melee dps. On average Marauders are still the best though. As it should be, really. I don't think BW intends for dps Juggs to be competitive with the other pure dps ACs - all you have to do is look at the BH and Campaign gear we have been given: it's mostly all endurance and lower strength - high in accuracy and low in power. I think they intended for DPS Juggs to basically be good enough dps to beat enrage timers but our primary role is that of emergency off-tank - essentially far more of a utility AC rather than pure DPS. BW basically need to come out and vocalise what they envision the role of the DPS Juggernaut to be, because at the moment it is all v unclear.
  24. No, the above site recommends 100% accuracy. Read it again.
  25. I used to have that chestpiece ages ago and can confirm that it does drop from FE normal, specifically from Malgus.
