  1. orly? Ive been playing MMo's since Ultima online in 1997... and no game has come as close to WoW as ToR has. This game is a WoW clone... period. Melee work off of rage and force (mana) Sounds like Warriors, rogues and casters to me. The Sith Sorcerer is a mesh between warlock and priest - force lightning that slows movement %50... sounds like mind flay to me. The ability to bubble one self or party members... priest? DoTs... warlock. Sundering strike - same as sunder armor Sith Assassin, stealthing with backstab abilities - Sounds like a rogue to me. Flying taxi's from one place to another that have to be discovered? Sound like flight paths to me. Republic vs Sith - Horde vs Alliance AND you HAVE TO choose at character creation. Anyone who says that this game isnt a WoW clones... OR well at least have the maturity to admit the very high similarities is either single minded or very stubborn. Welcome to World of starwarscraft. Heres a link from a PC Gamer magazine editor who also agrees http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/12/24/a-world-of-warcraft-players-primer-to-star-wars-the-old-republics-advanced-classes-part-2/
  2. I agree that Anakin was the chosen one... however, during Anakins padawan through Knight age the galaxy was littered with Jedi and only 2 Sith at a time. Anakin, then known as Darth Vader went around the galaxy finding and slaying all the Jedi, which he almost did, except Yoda and Obi Wan... thus bringing balance to light side/dark side users. Thats my understanding of it... I could be wrong though.
  3. Is your party also decked out in PvP gear? That would be a huge problem. I would imagine you have stats that are useless help against hardmode bosses.
  4. I know, I was calling him out on it =P I PvP'd once so far in Huttball or whatever its called, it was ok... although I was only level 11 at the time and felt playing against players that are level 30+ is a bit unfair considering they will have higher tier abilities. But overall it was an ok experience. I liked space combat a whole lot better, I dont mind the rail system either, no point in over complicating something... I dont want to get into another Eve online lol.
  5. I have Millennial and Cognus, both are starwars characters, lesser known Sith lords.
  6. If you want your character to be a single use and only do one thing, thats your choice.. dont dual spec. For others who like to raid, pvp and/or PvE solo its our choice. I love healing, however PvE as healing spec is horrid. My healer is only level 20 and I'm already seeing a problem with doing missions that require me killing MoBs... lets face it, thats 90% of missions. Healer for heroics, groups, and/or raids DPS for solo.. or as a fill in for the above. Please dont be so single minded.
  7. Explain how to do it right... or are you just trolling?
  8. If you miss it that bad, go play on the free player run servers. There's plenty out there.
  9. But isnt lying wrong as well? Even those "white lies" are still deception... a trait of the dark side.
  10. "Only the Sith deal in absolutes" - Obi Wan This has got to be one of the most broken statements... not only is it an absolute statement in and of itself but also Yoda says to Luke in return of the jedi "Do or do not, there is no try". I'm sure there are tons more, but those are two off the top of my head.
  11. Exactly lol. If the guild is that elitist/serious, then camping it again shouldn't be a problem.
  12. Keep in mind that Datacrons aren't mandatory, its YOUR choice to camp/seek them out.
  13. My DS/LS levels arent that high yet, but I do use diplomacy, and I can see how that would be frustrating...
  14. Hello and welcome to World of Starwarscraft. Completely agree with OP. You can tell me to go play WoW all you want... been there, done that... played that game for almost 6 years. I had such high hopes for ToR, but its seems like a reskinned WoW pre-burning crusade.... My love for the starwars universe/stories are the only things that keeps me playing ToR. After my first 5 level I no longer cared for the voice acting dialog... it became a huge time waster. Now I'm level 21 and tired of playing... sorry, wrong word... GRINDING. I understand the game has just been released, but aren't MMO game developers supposed to learn from the other mistakes of MMOs? ToR doesn't have the "omg I need to play *taps my veins*" type of feeling like WoW did. I know I'm not alone with this feeling. For now I'll keep my account active and see how the next few months turn out.
  15. 1. Allow us to specify exactly what to tell our companions to get... I sent Mako out 9 times to get 1 piece of Grade 2 Scavenged Metal (Bronzium) that I needed, and didn't get it until the 10th try, that's absurd. Huge waste of time and money. 2. If an item can be crafted but its grey because I will not gain skill for making it, it should not take us 3+ mins to make it... How does that make sense? If I don't gain skill from making the item, obviously I've/my companion has become proficient at making the item. 3. Allow us to manually make items without the aid of companions... if I need an item right away I should be able to make it myself in a fraction of the time it takes a companion to do it. 4. 50+ minutes for crafting/resource gathering?!?!?!?! lol? Please fix this.... Opinions of other players are always welcome, please have some subsistence to your post, don't just reply with "this is dumb"(sigh... lets see how many trolls post that)... explain why and how you think it is dumb.
  16. Awesome point. Threat meters: I agree with. Healbots: are very helpful especially in a raid situation, but I can live without them. DPS meters: I always felt they were more of a showoff rather than it actually showing if peoplewere paying attention to their jobs/rolls.
