  1. Sad to say that I'm losing interest on my second char now... first char it was at level 44, this guy at 43. I have a hard time pointing my finger at any exact problem, but the performance of the game should be better, so that's one thing. I guess PvP has already got kinda monotonous, and this early on that's just a bad sign. I can't fault people for liking the game though. It does have it strengths, but to me it isn't quite what I hoped it would be.
  2. Yea, I guess I will. That sucks. Thanks for the info though - it's appreciated! I wish Bioware would try to balance professions so that all have their uses in terms of both pvp and pve
  3. So is synthweaving actually useless for pvp??
  4. Just to specify: I'm mainly interested in professions to help me in terms of PvP
  5. Yea, is it useless? I must admit I picked my professions without too much thought... just looked them up here and chose synth + archeology because of their recommendations (I'm a Juggernaut). Now I've noticed that PvP gear seems to rely heavily on the expertise stat, which, to my knowledge, isn't there on any synthweaving gear? I don't like doing professions, and I'd hate switching, but if my choice is bad I guess I'll have to... people seem to think that biochem is very good for pvp. Is it a lot more useful than synthweaving? Is there perhaps some use for synthweaving in pvp? I really appreciate any insight guys. I really don't know if I should switch. Lesson learned: Research profs thoroughly before choosing :/
  6. This still happens to me. And not only that, I get sent right back to the fleet. Really f'in frustrating when you're doing a quest somewhere....
  7. Let me just say that I'm normally very hesitant to jump on any 'x class i OP' bandwagon, especially with a game as new as this one... but it's getting hard to contain myself. There really does seem to be a problem here in terms of absolutely brutal burst damage. I understand that the class also has its drawbacks, but it just seems disproportionate as of now. I'm not going to ***** and threaten to unsub and all that crap. The game is new, so let's hope that the developers take note.
  8. While I agree the class needs a buff, I think it's fun to play and has a good feel to it. so I think the design is there in general terms to make it a fun and interesting character to play...
  9. On my server, it seems Republic is winning a tad more to be honest!
  10. I'm really happy that they don't neglect the PvP community. I've yet to decide whether I'm in on this in the long haul, and the decisive factor for me is pretty much how the PvP content is going to turn out
  11. I very much agree. Grouping is now done by standing around on the fleet spamming, at least from my experience. It's just time-consuming and prevents you from actually doing stuff in the game while you wait!
  12. It definitely feels like the world can be too big for its own good in some respects. I also only met a couple of Empire players, and I'm level 41...
  13. I also really, really wish they would just remove companions from as much pvp-centric gameplay as possible, including Ilum...
  14. The problem with this guy is not his difficulty per se, but in relation to the rest of the FP. My group absolutely facerolled all of it up to him, and then suddenly the difficulty spikes IMMENSELY. Yes, he's the final boss, and that should show, but a more linear curve would be way better.
  15. The lag and poor performance is definitely ruining the whole pvp experience of this game, and it's sad as hell cause it has potential. Pleaes have a look at how this game is coded. It's obvious that certain areas (Aldaraan Warzone for example) need heavy optimization
  16. Please fix this, my list is getting cluttered :/
  17. I also have this problem. with certain quests, the 'abandon' button is simply grayed out
  18. It's a great way for me to be able to play with some pals that join in a day or two, that's for sure
  19. The problem with the system is that you haven't really got any chance to try your spec before choosing it. It is very likely that you'll opt for something that you later find out just isn't you. After all, when you choose, you haven't even scratched the surface of the game. If there is to be no way of switching, I think a much better model would be to let people switch between specs until, say, level 30 or 40, at which point your master or whatever would force you to CHOOSE YOUR PATH YOUNG SOMETHING at which point you have to choose. Just the way I see it.
  20. Not sure I follow. So better gear DOES help in warzones?
  21. Just curious how it works. Pleae see if my understanding is correct... The bolstering system 'bolsters' everyone's stats to level 50. This means that Level 50 players can play with, say, a level 10 player. The system upgrades all abilites to their level 50 states, but does not grant abilities that you haven't got on your current level. Your gear still matters, because the system only buffs the players base stats that increase according to level; not gear stats. Is this correctly understood, or am I missing something?
  22. This is puzzling me too. I don't know what's up. On my Sith char, I tried a few Warzones and won all as far as I can remember. On Republic, we lose pretty much every single one. I really don't know what the problem is:/
