  1. I'm only 27, but still hanging on to Vette. I enjoy the extra damage, and have been okay on survival so far. I tried out Quinn for awhile and found the healing to be lackluster, and didn't bother to try overhauling his gear to see a difference since I was saving for my speeder skill at the time. I later realized that his healing stance hadn't been active while I was using him, so that was part of the issue, but I haven't gone back to him to try with that active since I've been doing fine with Vette. She happens to blend really well naturally with my character dialog choices, so that works out even better.
  2. It's worth taking into consideration that bleed crits will heal anni marauders. That's one area power won't help you. For a class that tends to have survivability issues, that can be very useful. Crit bleed ticks will net you the damage and a heal, which in my opinion outweighs a slight base damage increase, but of course that's up to personal preference :]
  3. Thisssssss. I get so frustrated when Deadly Saber refuses to fire due to gcd when it's not on gcd...Unless it's just that it doesn't trigger gcd, but still needs gcd to be off to fire? *shrug* It's lit up during gcd, so I assume it's meant to be fired during gcd. I already end up looking at my hotbars a decent amount to monitor ability cooldowns, having to babysit whether or not your abilities actually fire when you press them doesn't help!
  4. Isn't that kind of the point? I would hope a Marauder would excel at DPS over a Juggernaut considering it's our only available option. If you ask me, a DPS specced Jugg should not be on even ground as far as straight damage goes, but should have more survivability and control abilities, along with decent damage. I'm not saying that's how it is for a rage-specced Jugg, since I honestly don't know, just saying BioWare shouldn't be worried about keeping Juggs even on damage or there's little point to rolling Marauder.
  5. Based on what another forum poster said (earlier thread on the matter), using Deadly Saber again while the original is still active will actually apply a second debuff stack, not refresh and keep the original at 3. As a result, it's probably not worth trying to maximize the length of your Deadly Saber debuffs, since the rotation needed to do so may hurt your DPS more than the damage you gain from drawing out the first two stacks as long as possible. Once I heard that, I stopped worrying about it and started focusing more on a simple priority of abilities, similar to what the 2nd poster listed. It's a lot less of a headache for me, and I'm still destroying things (actually probably better now than before)
  6. Ah, the non-stacking part is very nice to know. I mean to maximize the damage from a Deadly Saber cast, you'd still need to let each stack of the dot have as many ticks as possible before reapplying, but I have a feeling that the rotation that'll force you into is going to hurt your dps more than the extra Deadly Sabers damage from the first and second applications will help you. Well, now I don't have to sit around worrying about how to chain into another cast. That should help my dps as well, since I won't feel obligated to work in force abilities like scream to avoid premature stack applications.
  7. I'd be sure you're making use of Force Scream as well. Even before Carnage skills make it guaranteed to hit like a truck each time, it's still great damage.
  8. You use the force, don't you? Artificing is a good choice for either Warriors or Inquisitors.
  9. I'm curious if there's a decent Annihilation rotation that'll maintain efficient dps while keeping the deadly saber dot active at all times. The tough part is you need to alternate force abilities and saber abilities, while also keeping enough rage for everything. My problem, at lvl 21 at least, is that outside of Force Scream I don't really have any force abilities that I want to be using in my regular rotation. I can't remember if Ravage puts a tick on or not. I want to say it doesn't, but *shrug*. Even if you could chain your first Deadly Saber into a second one and keep the dot up, I have a feeling going beyond that will get tricky, unless you space out your attacks to make it happen, which seems pretty silly. Maybe this'll become a more viable strategy once I have more abilities at my disposal, but in the meantime it doesn't seem to work out too easily. All that said, I've still been liking Annihilation a lot since switching to it from Carnage, and I know it's only going to get better with upcoming skills.
  10. I had originally kind of disregarded the Annihilation tree, but after this thread and others where I've seen people mention their success with it, I'm definitely going to give it a go. I'm a few kills from hitting 20, so perfect time to be switching with Deadly Saber on deck.
  11. Hooray, spent an hour in the queue, finally got in and was configuring all my settings and hotkeys...and then my internet blips out for a couple seconds...Yeah...back in the hour long queue again. Please, please, please, put in a grace period on disconnect. This kind of thing can be extremely crippling, especially for those doing dungeons and raids.
