  1. Just me and my crew! http://junjun.com/media/images/2012/04/12/thumbnails/GJxLzRLytkbIsnI5_600x600.jpg
  2. one of my favorite posts to date around these parts.... literally laughed out loud at several of them
  3. They announce the winners this Sunday the 25th *crosses fingers*
  4. Yeah, sadly the voting is now over Thanks to everyone that did vote! hopefully will know something by Monday
  5. Thanks Spartanash! I'll update once the voting is over as to how I did Elledan, if you are near the Phoenix area, the comicon is pretty good. Granted it's no San Diego ComiCon...but then what is?
  6. Thanks That's what I was going for...I wanted her to look sexy and deadly. I always liked strong female characters, Xena, Buffy, River, LeeLoo just to name a few were the inspiration for her
  7. Thanks for the kind words! You can log in without a facebook account. You just register an account with the Phoenix ComiCon. The only emails I ever get from them are a few times this time of year each year when they are gearing up for the show, otherwise they don't really send much email.
  8. Hello SW:TOR community and fellow SWTOR inspired art fans I would love to ask for your votes (if you deem the piece worthy of your vote) for a Sith submission I did for the Phoenix ComiCon Badge art project. I figured what better to place to ask for a few extra votes from the great community here. Anyway the link is down below, go check out some great artwork from all genres related to comics/fantasy/scifi and vote (hopefully for me ) Also here's a peek at my design so you can recognize it, should you choose to vote for me Thanks again and have a wonderful day! http://junjun.com/media/images/2012/02/26/thumbnails/90xmuoNFt6xxeq8L_600x600.jpg Phoenic 2012 ComiCon Badge Art
  9. Ultima Online used to allow the player to change the color of their gear as well. It was a great feature in my opinion because, like you mentioned, it added a whole new level of personalization and kept everyone from looking exactly alike....or a giant clone army running around (or it worked to help make you look like a giant clone army if that was your idea of fun.) Either way it's one of the things I look back on and miss from the old days of Ultima, I wish it would make a comeback however I'm not sure how much of a strain that would put on the game trying to render say, the imperial fleet, with all the models and then individual color palettes. I suspect the reasoning has to do with something along those lines as to why it's not available. I wold suspect though adding even a basic color palette of say 8 customizable colors wouldn't hurt that much and could be implemented fairly easily...it would certainly lesson the odds of seeing someone wearing what I was wearing
  10. Love your video! makes me smile everytime! While looking around I also found this one out there...might be old but kind of fits the theme
  11. Thanks! once I finish the costume I'll post a pic of the finished project Hopefully about a week away from completing unless I run into some unforeseen problems with the body armor
  12. Ok in addition to my 3d Lightsabers and character portraits I like to do, and when the wife and I aren't doing the Ren Fair thing....my other hobby is working on my Mandalorian Costume So far I have my helmet pretty much completed. The gauntlets need sanding and painting this weekend as well as the chest and shoulder armor and my weapons are good to go for now I'll probably do a more customized "Star Wars" looking rifle, but for now this will do. Hope you enjoy http://junjun.com/media/images/2011/10/26/X0juuYG5pEIQ41QE.jpg http://junjun.com/media/images/2011/11/04/TUL3WWR0oGRq2MxT.jpg http://junjun.com/media/images/2011/10/29/thumbnails/JUoaE7TwfzHXnHbK_600x600.jpg http://junjun.com/media/images/2011/10/24/thumbnails/lB8kY1LRhGcHVVUz_600x600.jpg http://junjun.com/media/images/2011/10/25/thumbnails/QJwKP3CvkPxc0TyE_600x600.jpg
  13. Oh wow! i somehow missed this thread! This is some amazing work. I especially like the variety of the "arsenal" here I also really love the double bladed hilt with the blue glow in the middle around the crystals....I've always been partial to blue glowing things for some reason....I have no idea why...weird bit of info I know
  14. Thanks Mudmink I can't wait till the day when 3D printers are more readily available with high quality output so that can actually become a more practical reality of printing something like this out. As for more portraits, I figured I would start with a character I knew, mine...and this is his lightsaber so now I'm just working on the rest of the scene, hopefully will be done soon.
  15. One of the things I've always enjoyed about any MMO I played is meeting other people and hearing the stories behind their characters. This helped fuel a lot of inspiration for my other hobby (aside from gaming) and that was experimenting in CGI and character portraits. From my gallery in my sig most of the pictures were inspired by people's characters from Fantasy and Sci-Fi based MMOs (UO, Everquest, Horizons, Earth and Beyond and LOTRO.) Now my latest addiction of SW:TOR and all of the interesting people and their characters have inspired me to start doing some SW:TOR themed portraits for guildmates and I wanted a thread to share some of them as they grow, for both feedback and just fun. I was most recently amazed and inspired by the stunningly beautiful lightsabers by Gwathdraug and wanted to try my hand at what seemed like a very interesting topic. While I still have a lot of practice to go, I'm pleased with my first lightsaber attempt I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. http://junjun.com/media/images/2012/01/28/kYXYcahPhEiuuAC1.jpg
