  1. Intentional laggers can be handled quite easily with the Pike. They often won't get lock or launch warning in time to do anything about the respawn headed their way. Had one accuse me of hacking, because insta-lock. I told him he may want to restart his PC and reset his router
  2. Gonna go with a vocal minority that can't shoot straight and assumes anyone that can is using a third party aid/hack. Or, conversely, the same excuse bad players have used for losing for years, "No one can beat me fair, he HAS to be cheating."
  3. Just wanted to let you know how I see the vast majority of your posts.
  4. You seems to have a pathologically hatred for an inanimate, intangible object. I'd suggest professional intervention, but I don't care that much. Get Sniped.
  5. There. I made your argument valid. And as far as I know, I've never flown against you. I won't say I never use the love tap Ion, and I have flown over eager pilots into my capital ship's guns, but when I do so it's because I've been priority targeted by GOOD pilots on the other side. Besides, I'd prefer to blast you, and stay in the fight, not run away from you.
  6. I find it funny that everyone thinks it's okay to cry nerf when they can't figure something out. You don't see people on here crying nerf about the Burst spec for Scouts. You know the one that can destroy a fully master craft in 1 to 2 shots? Yes, I'm primarily a gunship pilot. But I fly EVERYTHING scouts, strikers, gunnys. I fly them all. Why? Knowing their strengths and weakness makes me better able to deal with the threat each ship represents. So quit crying nerf....and learn to play. Seriously, it's not that hard.
  7. I play regularly on Pot5 and I've been on several other servers for GSF, and I've yet to find the level of competition I get on my home server. Usually just a bunch of lolscouts like the OP that straight-line into a railgun blast. *Note: I don't even consider myself in top 5 gunship pilots on Pot5 What makes Pot5 the best for GSF? The community, on both sides, as many of us play both sides., communication and competition. Someone accused me of e-peening eariler. I had to laugh, because frankly, it's hard to epeen when you're surrounded by a bunch of good-natured, excellent pilots, who just want to have fun. The majority of the regular crew I fly with, I love it when they're on my team, and they're the bane of my existence when they're on the other team. But, back to our OP: He would get wrecked on POT5. Hell, in my opinion, he DID get wrecked in that vid, because despite his K/D, because he contributed little toward the objectives and his team lost. Handily.
  8. He got shot down 7 times I can't remember the last time I got shot down that many times in one match....In my Gunship, with a pack of much better scouts chasing me.......11 kills 4 assists, non factor on obj points. GJ dude, your team lost, and you got some kills.
  9. LOL. What server are you on so I can come wreck your ****? Autoaim my ***. Oh.. while you were running around padding your pathetic kill count, until you got swatted like the buzzing pest you were, your team was LOSING them match. Great tactics there, bro
  10. Ions already do a little bit of hull damage if the shot takes out the shield protection.
  11. When I'm pounding Ion AOE shots off a turret, I'm doing it at full charge, because it's the only way I'm going to damage the sat humpers, and more often than not teammates are actively engaged with them, Once again. That's my job in the Gunny: Fire Support. But yeah, I fully agree the Ion "love tap" tactic is total BS,and the Ion debuff needs to be scaled with the charge on the weapon.
  12. Honestly, I think you just need to figure out more effective tactics to combat them. When i do get hit from behind, it's usually from someone that snuck around my flank while I was engaging other targets, or I got swarmed. (Believe me, I HATE the swarm, because it's the single most effective way to take me out of a fight.) Either I respawn, or spend time wasted going evasive, either way I'm not on station and laying down fire support, which is my job in the Gunny.
  13. There you wrong, until the barrel roll engine is maxed out., until the slug is upgraded 3 times, bare minimum, they are Just So-so. That is a barely second long burst of whatt amounts to straight line speed, meant to take a gunny out of close range, which can be easily closed by a decent pilot in ANY scout or strike. Whereas, your suggest alternative, the Interdiction drive, used in conjunction with Full boost, won't take a gunship from fullstop firing position to out of range of a moving burst built Scout in time to save the airframe. A good burst builds can literally shred a full shield, full health GS in two accurate salvos. This has nothing to do with the Gunship's offensive power. It merely keeps the gunny from dying a flaming death for a few seconds, more if the gunny pilot is worth his boots. For the record, I agree with you, on the Ion effects. It should be graded with the charge. But then again. I don't use the stop regen effect., as I prefer the AOE and throwing the brakes on them. In most situations where I take the first strike, my Ion is at half charge, if Not full. Why? I want to take out your shield AND Ding your hull, leaving you exposed for teammates or a follow up slug. A lot of you scout jockeys seem to thing Big and Slow should mean "Easy Kill." I'm really not sorry to disappoint you.. Also. Do you notice a red flash, as the Gunny speeds away? If so you just took a hit from a feedback shield. Which, has the option, when maxed, to do 690 dmg, and drain 25 energy from weapon and engine pools. Maybe that's why those Gunnys seem so much faster than you after they barrel roll away.
  14. They do... After I barrel roll into the fray and call for a clean up. Or would you prefer I park and wait patiently for you to kill me?
  15. Weren't you in full GSF Sucks/Rage quit mode a few days ago?
  16. He's right about the CD, but without Barrel Roll, or some sort of escape ability, ALL Gunships, would be dead within seconds of being spotted. Why, because packs of 3 to 6 enemy ships will break off and run you down the very second you rip off a couple quick kills, and/or are seen. Don't worry, you'll get your fish in a barrel with the bombers. Oh, for those of you that think Gunship=Easy Mode, you're dead wrong. My guns need to be charged before hitting for effective damage, and then we have to hit a dot zipping across the screen, and in the case of good pilots, actively maneuvering to avoid being picked off. Just because some of you scout and striker pilots can't seem to figure out that flying in a straight line equals a quick respawn doesn't mean the Gunships are OPed. And Yes, I do fly Scouts and strikers on occasion, and pretty much exclusively anymore, when not faced with a serious threat in the form of an organized team.
  17. Decked out or not. I hit them with a full charge Ion blast, and a 3/4 charge Slug. The survivability upgrades which, in my opinion, are what make or break the gunship, like my feedback shield, evasion buff, and barrel roll upgrades, which are tuned to combat scouts and strike, never came into play. I simply acquired target, and blasted. A stock gunship is more than capable of laying out the damage I put on that Bomber. For the record, however, my gunship is fully mastered.
  18. Short Answer: NO. They seem pretty will balanced on the PTS. You you don't believe me try one for yourself.
  19. Guys. The sky isn't falling. I've been on the PTS, and played against Bombers, with a copy of my Gunship from live, and as a Bomber. They're two shot kills with a gunship, have no way to break a missile lock after launch, and they are incredibly slow. Yeah, they hit like a truck. That's what bombers are supposed to do. They're worthless in a dogfight, unless you're chasing another bomber. Their power comes from the mines and drones. Which are basically stationary targets that can be taken out quickly. Only problems I've seen so far are minor bugs, like drones capping control points, and visual and targeting position not always matching up. In Short, Bomber's seem pretty well balanced with the current GSF craft. Hop over to PTS and see for yourself.
  20. Yeah need more on both sides, Queues won't pop with people, Login into PTS, help test this patch.
  21. Those people, aren't stealing "Your" kills... They're assisting a wing mate. Your entire post seems to indicate that you're not a team player. I've finished matches with single digit kills and 30+ assists. It doesn't matter. Personally, I like it when other players help out. That way the big slow gunships doesn't wind up with the entire Imp team chasing it.
  22. Honestly, I remember you. Why? Easy pickings. I'm not saying that to troll you, at all. I remember you straight and level, heading for what ever target you were after. When it was me, you were full boost, beelined straight into my railgun. Tip: When you fly straight at a gunship, you're essentially a stationary target, in that gunship's sight picture. Even a gunship noob you could wipe you out before you ever became a threat. Don't tunnel out so hard, man. The best Scout and Striker pilots always attack gunships in packs. Why? Even if the Gunny pops one or two of you, chances are once you've managed to close to your weapon range, that Gunship is dead meat. Gunships aren't fast, or maneuverable, they're big, slow targets. Honestly, attacking from range is our best defense. When you fly straight at us, you're playing our game, not yours. I hope this helps. You seems like you play to win, and that's always a good thing. Believe me, I understand the frustration.
  23. You know you can pick up the GSF dailies/Weeklies from the standard pvp terminal, right?
