  1. I beat him on the first try as level 32 Vigilance Guardian. I interrupted everything he did. If my interrupt was down, I'd put him in Force Stasis, if that was down, I'd Forcepush him. Hell, if that hadn't worked, I'd still have Saberward, Heroic Moment, my Legacy Forcechoke, Enure, a Medpack ... I suppose there are many ways of keeping him off balance. Using powers like Master Strike on him requires some timing: you don't want to use MS while he starts a cast too, or have to interrupt MS because of a cast. As for knowing which powers to interrupt, well, here's my 'rule': in most cases I recognize the power used. If I see someone use 'ravage' or 'forcestorm', etc. I generally want to interrupt those. If it's a name I am unfamiliar with, it is probably a power specific to this kind of enemy ('Durasteel Fist' comes to mind, used by Druan the Durasteel Fist on Nar Shaddaa - hits like a truck and then some) and if that's the case, it's usually a power- and/or painful ability. In Angral's case, this goes for 'Thundering Blast'. If I don't know it, you shan't use it.
  2. I do understand this and I also realize that the suggestion I put forward would actually increase my power, instead of being a convenience as is normally the case. However, the reality of the game is that, even while I am on a pretty busy server, I'm playing solo a lot. I think it's not unfair to say many people are soloing, not only because of the way servers are set up, but also because the game encourages this up to a point. In this instance, having your own double (or even triple or quadruple) buff certainly makes a difference. And it is this difference I am talking about. I do not want to be more powerful. I just want the same convenience, which so happens to be a powerincrease when soloing. Even in flashpoints (not in operations though) it's not merely a convenience to have people be able to doublebuff themselves. I mean, how often does a FP-group consist of two or three different classes? Having people able to grant the missing buff(s) surely makes the team as a whole more powerful. Right now, I cannot contribute to this in any meaningful way.
  3. Since the appearance of the Legacy system, the way BW implemented the Class Buff has bothered me. Once you get a class past its 2nd chapter, every character you play receives, in addition to its own buff, that other class' buff. Of 'all' the Legacy powers I have access to now, this, to me, seems the most useful one thusfar. This is good and all, except when you enjoy playing the same class more than once. In every game I play, I have always enjoyed warriors most. I might try other classes, but in the end, I always return to the warrior. So in Swtor, I have two level 50 Juggernauts and I am playing a Jedi Guardian, as well as a Jedi Sentinel. I see others running around with a double, or even triple class buff, but I - even the tooltip for the Legacy Class Buff specifically says so - am not to receive ANY benefits from having more than one warrior-class? I don't see any reason why I shouldn't get anything. Wouldn't it make sense in a legacy that the child follows in its parent's footsteps? Why does the son not benefit from the knowledge the father has gained? I am not exactly sure how this could be implemented in gameterms, but the easiest route (at least to me, not being a developer / designer) would seem to give players with more than one warrior past the 2nd chapter a stronger buff - say a 1% increase for every warrior beyond the first. In my case, I would be able to give myself (and perhaps other players) a 7% (almost 8% now) increase to damage and healing done when using Force or Unnatural Might. I am sure my own suggestion has flaws. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Even if BW does nothing with this, which they probably will, I have presented the suggestion. I hope others agree with me, at least to the point where they acknowledge there's no definitive reason why players playing the same class more than once should not receive some benefit, albeit a very minor one.
  4. Oh no worries, I still have no intention of playing PvP in the near or far-off future. Whether the story you wrote, applies to PvP or PvE doesn't matter in my opinion. It just sounds awesome. That, and I almost exclusively play two Vengeance Juggernauts, so in my head your story applies to me as well. I'm awesome :-D
  5. You know, I have NEVER played a PvP-battle in this game thusfar, but if anyone ever made Vengeance sound cool, it's you. I'm glad I play Vengeance! *nods* Cheers, sir.
  6. I should have added I only play PvE, so the non-moving part isn't as essential to me as it is to a PvP'er. Thus the moving out of range thing isn't my concern either. The game-AI doesn't do that In conclusion, I like Ravage, but I do understand its disadvantages for those who would like to use it in PvP.
  7. Haven't played the new spec thusfar, curious to see how it'll turn out. So far, what I am most happy about is the damagebuff to Ravage. I know many on the boards aren't a great fan of Ravage, but I sure as hell am (mainly because I think a combinationattack is awesome). Certain talents in the Vengeance tree support the notion that Ravage it to be regularly used. People have questioned this, since a rotation w/o Ravage seemed more effective. I personally hope this buff to Ravage makes Ravage useful beyond doubt. The loss of the +endurance power is a bit of a pity; as for the healingpower, I've yet to see how effective this new power is going to be. Overall, I'm not unhappy about the changes.
  8. If you prefer robes without a hood, you're in luck: most Juggernaut robes have no hood. To name a few - Vindicator's Chestguard, a level 11 purple Robe (worlddrop) - Warlord's Chestguard, lvl 19 red robe (crafted) - Rampage Assault, lvl 32, purple with silver breastplate (worlddrop) - Foeseeker's Bodyarmor, lvl 31, purple with red/silver breastplate (Cademimu) - Phobium Chestguard, lvl 39 grey robe (crafted) There are more in the 40+ range, for now, the easiest one to obtain is the Warlord's Chestguard. I hope that points you in the right direction.
  9. This. Make it hard to obtain, expensive, I don't care. The number of orange, craftable armors is already too low, and most armors really aren't that interesting either. And really: WHY did they not make black, hooded Sith robes. I seriously cannot think of any good reason why they decided not to.
  10. Ai, I fear for the worst. This is the armor the other poster mentioned. Could it be he was wrong, and there is no orange version of this armor?
  11. Damn, just browsed all 52 pages of that post, missed it completely. Thanks for the link though. It appears to me the poster said the Black Armor he had was a Green one, that by doing all Heroics on Taris, one could get a better version, namely the Merciless Juggernaut Elite. As I've just shown, it's not Merciless Juggernaut Elite, so the armor shown could very well be an uncommon (i.e. green) armor, not an orange, moddable, version. And honestly, I am playing on a rather large server, and have been searching for orange armors since beta. I have an entire banktab and more filled with orange armorparts. I am still not sure of the existence of this armor as a moddable one, else I think I'd have seen it by now. I do hope it's out there though. It DOES look good!
  12. I am trying to find the thread you first saw this armor in. Perhaps that will yield new clues. We'll get this bastard yet
  13. It's most certainly not the Taris HC called Blackout. Proof So, if you all still think it's Taris, provide me some proof, damnit!! I want that armor.
  14. It can also be crafted: http://www.torhead.com/item/cp0158B/fortified-electrum-chestguard I think the robe's colour is -slightly- different (grey instead of dark grey), but the model is the same. If you don't mind the slight colour change, you should find yourself a Synthweaver (skill 400).
  15. But that's the entire point. We know an armor of the same model can be bought at the PvP vendor. We're wondering where the BLACK armor came from, not the dark purple one. Yes, it's the same model, but the colour and rarity make the black one more desirable. (Oh god, that sounds so lame. I'm shopping for clothes!)
