  1. Premades have no quantified value to successful mmo. No one gets a mmo because of premades.
  2. Go pure DF in my opinion using shrap grenade/vital shot and thermal to do most of your damage. Spec the shrap grenade to slow people down. It helps a lot in Void Star when they open a door, if you slow their rush to the next cap point it really helps. Also for other warzones it just plains slows them down. If you like healing then try the previous poster build. I don't like to heal personally myself.
  3. You have server side lag on the fleet? Hmm that's strange even during the hey day when everybody was playing at launch I never had lag on the fleet. The fleet is the fastest loading zone and has all the vendors available. The fleet is a perfect place to duel imo.
  4. Can you not read? I said DF is good if you run with the zerg and has great damage numbers, you just can't kill anyone yourself. Why are you getting defensive? Plus you should listen to people who know about the smuggler class, we are just stating the pro's and con's at 50 really.
  5. Unless its a fresh 50 premade going against a group with some BM and WH's.
  6. Ah I see you are sub 50, now I know where you are coming from. You have no real experience with expertise then. All I have to say is good luck to you just don't let the total damage numbers fool you. Big damage numbers mean nothing and you are missing the point on how effective the scrapper is. You can stealth to a point and take it away from somebody. Stealth is our biggest strength and you if you can't solo anyone then its pointless. You should have rolled a slinger since sabo hybrids better with DF.
  7. Then you want scrapper when you turn level 40 if you like to solo, if you zerg then DF is awesome imo.
  8. Flechette round is the scrapper defining ability imo. In DF shrap grenade is the class defining ability imo. Its good for pve in conjunction with vital shot. I would let Corso pull then dot everything.
  9. Go for it and have fun with it, just saying the scrapper is more effective than DF imo for pvp. DF has way better damage numbers if you stick with the group. The thing that your missing about scrappers are we can kill healers, solo any class which means I can cap a point solo if they only have one defender. The only thing DF really does is assist your team main force in killing people. There is no way you can kill someone solo who has the same expertise as you and if you are the last line of defense in huttball then you most likely won't be able to kill the ball carrier if he has the same expertise as you.
  10. So have you tried Flechette round yet? I was DF while I leveled to 40 then switched when I got Flechette round. That's the key to the scrapper build, if you don't have that roll a DF or healer build.
  11. I have played both extensively and DF is lots of fun with good numbers but imo to be effective the scrapper build is the best. For example, huttball defense scenario, you are the only one left to stop the carrier your burst is not good enough to stop him and you won't have the kd from the talent as a cc to use. Back in the day when dots could stop people capping it was pretty useful for voidstar and alderaan. Now to be effective you have to run with the main force to "assist". You can't go solo a point by yourself anymore, you not fast enough to kill before reinforcements arrive. So if you like be effective stay with group with DF but to be really effective roll scrapper. Scrapper can go solo or really really assist the main force.

  13. You sir are a suck up. These forums are our main form of communication with the devs. If we post something negative then you call it whining. If I say I'm going to quit because of x then at least they know why the lost a customer and learn from their mistake and correct for the future. Just quitting the game and disappearing does not help Bioware at all. They have no information on how to do better. If they can't fathom that their customers will express their opinions when they are in a emotional state then they should not be in this line of business. Hire people who can then. As for patches not being a requirement well you would be wrong, precedent has been set that it is a requirement for them to fix their bugs. They have implicit promises they need to fulfill for working software.
  14. I just don't understand the goal of these changes. What are they fixing? Why are they adjusting? This is the reason I cancelled. Eight days left unless they change something or explain these changes.
  15. Or you could just a solo queue system where no premades can join. They can have their own queue. But oh no your complaint then is that oh the premades queue will be longer then. Fine deal with, you are basically saying that to the puggers. I run with my guild and I don't mind waiting longer for better fights.
  16. You guys are full of it, I pvp to have fun and to progress. This is a mmorpg, just because you guys can't fathom the idea of progressing through pvp shouldn't mean we should have our choices narrowed by your close minded thinking.
  17. Most likely Zoeller has his bonus around how many active subscribers he has retained. Seems like a typical incentive a big company would give to a employee who's product is based on subscription numbers. In all likelihood he is catering to the masses not for the benefit of the game but their bonuses.
  18. Such a bad attitude, what if I did all that and I'm retired? I don't know about you guys I love playing video games, its the best thing in the world. Also I have had my share of woman and you know what give me video games and golf any day. I like my life simple and adding women to mix just complicates thing. I still won't give up my booty calls tho, I just don't want to deal with them on a daily basis.
  19. So the performance was the biggest issue for you? If they fixed that what would you like to see for the carrot?
  20. I'm in the same position. I got all my gear last week and there is nothing to work for. If the warzone were more epic or had more meaning in the overall conflict that is Star Wars I would be more interested. Tthe pvp in this game is not that amazing where I could do it for many hours unless I had some sort of goal. If the pvp core game play was awesome then gear wouldn't that big of deal to keep me interested without a carrot.
  21. If you don't agree that's cool but please post a suggestion or two you would like to see.
  22. Maybe, maybe not, they did ask for suggestions so that's a start. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3339800#edit3339800
  23. What do you mean ok? Was it not worth it? In the idea I presented it would create temporary npc points that help the war effort. For example if you had a engineering officer build a machine that could gather supply points faster on a supply node. Just think of the things you can build in RTS's.
  24. Ok how about larger warzones that affect some sort of game map. Something like risk. Where each country is a warzone where you have more than 8 v 8 but something like 40 v 40. If you win that warzone you gain control and you push the map maybe? You need to have lots of states/zones so you can't win it overnight.
  25. After thinking about it what I would really like to see in open world pvp is the war aspect of it. The major components would be: Supply routes Medical Units Scouting Activities Main Attack Force Military Ranking System So in the movies Luke, Obi-wan, and Han became Generals. We should have something similar. The generals/officers should be able to use supply points to call for short npc reinforcements or setup temporary medical bases to create spawn points. Scouts offices can setup npc scout points that can be destroyed but give intel on enemy movements. This is the kind of incentive we should strive for in open world pvp. Where the advantages doesn't affect the person but their side of the war. The "abilities" can be used only if there are enough supply points and have no affect in warzones. If Illum became a true war zone then things like this need to occur. Not static objectives but dynamic objectives the players themselves put down, well except for the supply points. The game needs to dynamically generate those that we fight over.
