This is interesting. If the idea is going to be that crit crafted orange gear made by crafters is going to be, for the moment, the best one can get and the best way to mod them said items is to raid and pull the mods out of the raid gear and put them into the crafted items. Then what is the point of having the raid items drop in the first place? Why not just have a chest full of mods? even if they don't have the crit crafted items in the first place they can just place them into what ever gear they have on currently and pull them out later to put into them when they do, it amounts to the same thing.

Please don't misunderstand I like the orange items, I think they are a great idea for customization of your char and its exact stats. What i mean is the market value of the greens and blues, yes they are a filler, or at least they are meant to be but unfortunately I've found they are of little more value then vendor trash, not all of them, there are of course some niche items that sell and people do buy the odd item for companions, i was just wishing there was some other use to put them to so they areof more use then they are at the present moment.

I suppose i can't argue with that statement, i was basing their worth on the standard GTN price it puts up for your when you place it for sale, but you are correct supply and demand lowers/ highers prices as needs be. But again i still think it is a waste if all they are good for is vendor trash.... as the an above poster said, why can't we dismantle them for materials to go into the construction of mods and/ or other items? at least then they have some use.

I'm sure there are some blues that do sell, but i found the market for them is small, and if you do manage to sell them, you have to sell them at a fraction of their worth. I am consistently getting all my blues back in the mail even after reducing their cost by sometimes about 60% (say 14k starting price down to 6k) As for the greens, you right its not even worth trying to sell them. shame really is.

This is what i see the market will degenerate into. Eventually it'll be pointless putting up greens n blues they'll just be nicely coloured greys. the market will be full of orange items and everyone will look pretty much the same. Worse case scenario of course.

This is my point, with crafters and commendations and all other stuff, greens and blues are simply obsolete and are not as sort after, diminishing their worth to the point they are just like grey items

You have a valid point there I give you that. Still, I do think its a waste as they could be more then just fillers or companion items as well as contributing more to the market, even if they are only handed in for lightside and darkside points, anything so they are of more use then they are currently.

An appearance tab would of addressed the "look" issue I suppose, but its not really the orange items I see a problem with, I like the idea, its a good one, but it does make the blues and greens obsolete, and quickly. I have raised two chars to lvl 50, and past the capital planet on both sides, I've walked away with mostly orange gear on, that's just from doing the quests. Since then I've had no reason, what so ever to buy either green or blue items, by simply saving commendations you can easily re-mod all your gear at the end of each planet's natural quest end. I'm just thinking about long term economy, I see a GTN full of greens and blues with no one buying them while everyone covets the orange items. Some love should go to them

With the current official post up about the SWTOR economy I thought I would post up my two cents. Am I the only one who sees a problem with these "orange" items? They are great and all that and my problem isn't really with them, its the fact that they have kind of made the market for green and blue items defunct. No one buys green or blue items, or if they do its only for their companions every now and then. It has created a flooding of these items on the GTN for next to nothing and at the prices I've seen they may as well just vendor them. Its a shame really, it feels like a waste. I'm not thinking a change to the orange items is needed but surely something can be done to give these poor green and blue items a use in the world?

I liked everything but the crystals idea. The whole idea is the darkside is red crystals and the lightside is blue. The only change i would make is the green crystals, as i feel green is a neutral colour.

Are there going to be any changes to the space combat? At the moment it feels like a arcade afterthought add-on and does not really tie into the story line for any class what so ever. In my humble opinion Star Wars is all about the space combat, its a major, and vital part of the story and I so do wish for it to be a lot more interactive then it is in its current state.

I had Qyzen Fess with me throught my entire story so far (lvl 47) and im not even half way up his affection meter. I chose Lightside options, but, he always wanted me to kill tough enemies, something a lighsider does not do, also, because he only gets 15 points a time its a uphill struggle. All the other companions ive never even took on 1 mission due to their roles and mine, so they are barely even above 1000 affection. I hear alot of people have most of theirs maxxed. Am i the only one that is struggling really badly?

I found that the only character i could use through 90% of the game was Qyzen. I leveled up as a healer from day 1, and he was the only viable choice so i know absolutly nothing about Theran, zenith or iresso, as ive not even picked em for even 1 mission. This is a shame to me. i would've liked to been able to use them, but theran is a healer which is what i am, so he was of no use, zenith is WAY to squishy n couldn't hold agro, and iresso by then was to weak and no comparison to Qyzen. Ive decided to kit out Nadia in Defence, accuracy gear (shadow tank items) and leave the dps'ing to me, JUST so i can have a change from qyzen, but its hard going. Im willing to put up with it though as i find Nadia very interesting, she is my Padwan, a dynamic i like
