Again with this. Why is it so hard to see why people are upset when they find something they bought has been misrepresented. The thing is nothing like the description. Not only does it not hover at your side, you can barely see it.

If they can't fix it for you, they should escalate it to someone who can. This is how Customer Support is supposed to work. Maybe the ability lag has spread to the ticket system.

I didn't mind the needlessly complicated travel until I realized how many recycled maps there are. Running around in a big world is nice if it's not a recolored version of the one you just left.

This was pointed out in beta. Just saying.

It requires liberal use of the /who command and some basic additions skills. Oh and patience.

How about we assume he was in beta and therefore knew his way around, had early access, rested xp, and isn't the "smell the roses along the way" type, shall we? Honestly, 2 50's isn't unreasonable at this point. The fact that people are hitting 50 and feeling that they need to move to an alt to find something to do is a bit more to the point.

I hate responses like this. You do realize that when you encourage people out the door, that they take their sub money with them, right? Plus that's one less player for you to find for your group. And what if they take their friends with them. Good luck getting a healthy game when the sub money and player population is on a downward slide.

Just say No? How about the option to toggle chat bubbles. lol You can't seriously expect the RP'ers to be happy with your idea. Also, chat bubbles are pretty useful in raiding if you have to announce you're infected with something or where to stack, or whatever. No idea if that sort of strat will be needed in this game, but probably.

This. Autorun and a second monitor with something to distract me from the time-sink of travel. Either that, or I look out the window. Not exactly immersive, I know.

These threads always get nitpicked. His point is valid. Travel is needlessly complicated, unless all you're doing is questing happily on a planet. But if you want to go pick up the pvp daily, help a guildie, join a guild flashpoint run, get something out of the bank (and I've wanted to do all of those things within one evening. Haven't you?) ... all these things take a lot of time. PLUS, don't forget, if you go somewhere you have to do it all again to get back. Those fleet passes are a one way ticket. I doubt many want the instant-everywhere that WoW became. But I know I'd sure like something in between that and the cumbersome travel we have here. (And to the person who said it takes 15 mins for a boat in WoW ... gross exaggeration.)

+1 Not a big deal in pve. But it's an issue in pvp.

Exactly. Go to Preferences > Controls > General and make sure "Deselect Target upon Clicking on Terrain" is NOT checked. and go to Key Bindings and have a look at your key binding for Acquire Target's Target. Those 2 things should fix you right up. (pebcak I think)

Not entirely sure if this is what you're looking for, but did you check to make sure you don't have the Deselect Target when you click the ground option ticked? (can't remember exactly what it's called.) Also, for Assist, the closest I've found is hotkeying Target of Target in options.
