  1. I think that's called being in denial of reality, since these nations you don't acknowledge can have a very real impact on your ability to remain free and/or alive. Anyways, the EU is what makes Star Wars interesting, imo. I mean, you can count the movies as being the only thing truly Star Wars, but half of the movies were awful (we all know which half). So Star Wars is 50% crap.
  2. Most people who went for HWL/GM just shared accounts anyways, or botted in BGs. I know the ones on my servers did. Anyways, the amount of hate in this thread is hilarious. Play the game you like and let others play the game they like.
  3. You mean they can't shield, knockback/speed/kite melee and los ranged, and then heal themselves up and start all over again? It works wonders.
  4. The teleporting is incredibly annoying as well, but I remember they said that they were implementing 3 levels of fixes for the combat responsiveness solution, and they have only done 2 so far. Maybe (hopefully) the third fix will fix the double jerk, because it is very very annoying on my Juggernaut, especially when it happens with Smash, the ability his damage revolves around.
  5. I have a Sorcerer, Juggernaut, and Operative at 50 and have PvPd with each of them pretty extensively (Sorc and Jugg are both in champion gear with Jugg about to hit battlemaster). Sorcerer is by far the easiest of the three to play, no ifs ands or buts about it. That said, I don't really know how they would tone them down; maybe they could lengthen cooldowns somewhat. I'm not a game designer, that stuff is for them to figure out.
  6. I think the basic concept behind Ilum is fine, but I don't like how all the emphasis seems to be on holding mid because of those stupid boxes. The rest of the map may as well not exist, except for the few people who bother to cap the bases, which doesn't even happen if there is a zergfest going on. 90% of the time there are two groups standing apart from each other; someone from one group gets too close to the other group and gets grappled or force-pulled, and the zerg kills him. Rinse and repeat 150 times until the weekly is done. There needs to be incentive to go out and fight over bases, instead of people just saying "nah, too much trouble".
  7. There's a reason Rogues in WoW get closers like shadowstep and sprint. Getting kited/thrown back endlessly with no way to get back to your target quickly makes you useless. I find knockbacks mildly annoying as a Juggernaut, but at least I have ways of getting back into the action. Powertechs/assassins can pull people down with them at least. What can operatives do? Nothing.
  8. First, no, healers can't get tank medals because those come from GUARD, TAUNTS, and the intervene-like abilities which no healing class has access to. Second, I already said (in the post you quoted) that dps medals are entirely possible to get, but why should healers have to spend half their time tagging enemies with attacks just so they get credit for them when they die? I play a healer to heal, not to throw grenades at people. Third, what the hell does that have to do with anything? Anyone can use the item to get a free two medals, so I guess they kind of are handed to me and everybody else, and all it takes is a short trip to Tatooine and Hoth. I don't care how many medals someone has, if they gain access to medals they shouldn't be getting then that's a problem.
  9. Good to know. I do wish they'd at least do something for the healers in warzones though. Seems kinda unfair that it's so easy for everyone else to get their medals, but they have to work their butts off to keep the team alive *and* try to get the damage medals.
  10. I had to wait in a 20 minute queue last weekend, and I see most servers at heavy even on weeknights. Seems pretty normal to me.
  11. I have biochem myself on my operative, but he's a healer so I don't have much to gain from it. What I don't like it seeing tank/dps classes get 12-13 medals because they use medpacks to get the healing medals. Didn't BW decide that wasn't fair and nerf that? And yet I still see it happening every game. Whatever, my Jugg is rerolling biochem as soon as he gets augment procs on his rakata stuff. Edit: Ok so it's Shockfrozen Water and not medpacks, same result and even easier to achieve.
  12. When they create premades for people to copy over to the test server, people might actually start testing endgame content and stuff might get fixed. Until then, they're on their own as far as bugs are concerned.
  13. I'm definitely seeing huge improvements in both ability activation (plus smash seems to actually go off even when I get knocked back during the animation!) and warzone performance on my Juggernaut. As for the gcd lightshow, I think they just reverted the change they made in 1.1 right? Once they figure out a good compromise they might implement a better solution in the future. I'm thinking: allow a more opaque/bright indicator for longer cooldowns, but make the gcd animation somewhat less...annoying/bright. They could change the color of the animation to something grayish and lower the opacity so you can see what ability is where at all times.
  14. It's not quite as extreme as your case for me, but yeah my fps does drop somewhat now that you mention it. The flight down to the ground and the initial fighting is perfectly fine (60 fps), then 5 minutes later I'm guarding a node with one other person and nothing is happening, my fps is somewhere around 40.
  15. Dear sweet $%#$*&^ god it can't be unseen!
  16. I will pick well-written text over a poorly written/voice-acted conversation any day of the week. Not talking specifically about TOR, just any game that uses voice acting.
  17. It *is* kinda sexist that females get to be the only sex objects in this game. Anyone who's seen those new David Beckham ads would agree that guys can pull it off just as well. On topic: seriously, the social gear needs to be fixed. Either they add in medium/heavy versions of each set or make it scale according to your class. I don't care which solution they choose, but they need to make social gear viable for everyone.
  18. First of all, OP was asking about visual customizations for Scorpio, not about a moddable weapon for her. There are no customizations currently available in game for her. Secondly, electrostaffs and techstaffs are two different things. Scorpio uses TECHstaffs which have AIM on them. Like someone already mentioned, you get a blue quality techstaff from a Belsavis heroic. As far as I know that's the best weapon you can get her for the time being.
  19. Which is exactly why it's a terrible system. They should just make bags give commendations, split the bags into three types instead of two, and make items cost somewhat fewer commendations for centurion/champion gear and increase the cost of battlemaster gear. The end result should be a smoother progression of gearing up for pvp and takes all the rng out. Gear should be a reward for how much time you put into pvping, not how lucky you are with gear bag loot.
  20. No, they do the same amount of damage, you just have way more health and shields than you did at that level. edit: Sullust interception is one of the toughest missions. Make sure you have the special ship ability upgrades that you get from fleet commendations.
  21. I absolutely agree. My problem with the SI is that you are basically fumbling your way in the dark for most of the storyline without making any actual choices for yourself. Not to mention parts of it just feel contrived
  22. I think the space combat is the foundation for something amazing: space pvp combat. Either a flat-out 8v8 or FFA dogfight, and/or something along the lines of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 versus missions where you disable the enemy capital ship's shields, then board the ship and sabotage it from the inside. It would be.....EPIC!
  23. I heard they are changing the weekly so that you actually have to kill players, so no more teamwork guys
  24. The problem isn't how much healing healers do, it's that we get fewer medals and less valor than dps and tanks. I'm not going to heal if it interferes with how quickly I gain valor, never mind how much of a pain in the *** it is to begin with. Play a healer if you enjoy getting focused and getting the fewest rewards for the most effort.
  25. Oh yeah it was from the weapons/specialty goods vendor, my bad.
