  1. I played at launch and just came back yesterday for the first time in years. I found a mod on Nexus that lets you left click to use the basic attack on the "1" key and right click to use a second attack on the "2" key. It also lets you press "F" to toggle the camera mode. That seems like it'd be a great quality of life feature but I don't want to get my account banned. I asked on Steam and I only got reply. It simply said "Yes". I just want more responses though before I go risking my account. Thank you all!
  2. Are you even remotely being serious? I mean honestly I can't tell if this was a very poor example in trying to be sarcastic or if you actually believe what you said... More decent folks in general chat makes it less trollish by simple numbers. If there are 10 general chat tells in 1 minute and all 10 are trolls then it sucks. If decent people speak up then only 5/10 would be trollish. My main point though was how full of you know what I consider those "helpful" people who turn general chat off to be. Don't kid yourself. You don't help anyone at all except maybe that one person who just randomly chooses you to send a whisper too every year. As I said, with general chat off you wouldn't know who else needed help otherwise.
  3. I have yet to play it at all so I could be totally wrong but honestly I really feel like from watching videos and reading other space flight vets opinion on the game that the controls are fine. I'm willing to be it's just the "I only play mmo's" crowd who have no twitch based or aiming skills that think the control s are broke.
  4. Every MMO always has those people who claim general chat sucks and that they always turn it off. These same "knights in shining armor" also claim to be the most helpful bunch. They state they always help new players out with their questions. Well my question is, how the heck do you know who needs help when you have general chat turned off?! In my opinion you people who turn general chat off are half the problem. If more people who actually cared and had a decent attitude used general chat and helped people out you'd slowly see less and less trolls in general.
  5. Yeah I guess you're right that's a good point.
  6. I see your point but what else could you do to distribute the difficulty? I mean for me playing as DPS there isn't much you can do to make my job harder other then giving the mobs more hit points. In the end that doesn't really make my job harder though it just makes me have to press 1,2,3 a few more times. In my opinion the only thing that can be done is being done, and that's to make people move and perform your choreography. The bad thing is that more then likely if you're going to make people move the tank will be the one to shoulder that burden as he has to position stuff correctly. Us DPS and heals we just have to make sure we're not standing in the red lol.
  7. Is there any difference in capturing or killing the target? All I've ever done is kill them.
  8. So I just came back to the game recently and have rolled a new toon. I'm sitting at level 45 and have Underworld Trading at 200 and Salvaging at 300 something. I picked up Cybertech but it's still at 0. Am I correct in assuming I could make a fair profit at just creating blue quality armor mods for people in the 10-20 level range? If so what level do I need to get my Cybertech up to?
  9. Hey guys I was thinking about taking advantage and buying the 40 dollar pack for CC. However at the moment there is really nothing I just have to buy on the market. If I do this will my coins always be there or do they use a system where after awhile you start to lose coins if unused? Thanks!
  10. I just logged in to post the same thing then saw you had already posted it lol. I'd bet a months sub almost that w/i a year at most we'll have info on incoming player housing.
  11. Would it not be based on the day you sub?
  12. Hey guys j/w if anyone knows any web sites that are all about SWTOR. I remember a couple years ago when I was all into WoW and other MMO's I really loved wow insider and Massively.com. I'm really hoping there are some sites like those devoted to all things SWTOR!
  13. Thanks for all the responses guys I really appreciate it! I only had the coins to buy 3 packs but it was fun. Can't say I got any of the armor/mounts I was looking for but I did get a charred orange crystal that I wanted as well as a title "the tracker" that apparently sells for around 200k on the AH!!
  14. Hey guys I played game @ launch but have been gone for quite some time. I recently came back and I'm fairly interested in the cartel market packs but honestly I'm at a loss as to which ones to go for. I tried google and found a website that showed a bunch of different packs but I'm not sure if the thing is updated or not. I also noticed some packs are cheaper then the others. Is there anyone who can point me somewhere that will show me what comes in all the different packs?
  15. If they are being like that about it then it deserves an ignore plain and simple. Then the thread will simply fade to oblivion. Everyone getting on it to say "bye" in whatever smart mouth way they can does nothing but bump it up and show others how my example of the community being 50/50 is and sucks. Change starts with you ever heard that? If you feel like people who don't like the game are being jerks then how about we step up and treat them nice for once. It really couldn't hurt.
  16. How many times do I have to say I'm not leaving?? This thread was towards people like myself who plan to stay and how I think we need to either just ignore them OR offer to help in some way. Even if 9/10 are trolls we feed that still leaves the 1/10 we could actually help and play with. How is that not a good thing? Look what goes around comes around and if this community stays 50% trolls who hate everything about the game and 50% fanboys who hate everything about the other half then it'll never be as good as it could.
  17. exactly. I mean if you see someone being a jerk about the game either ignore it or maybe offer a positive outlook and offer to help them. Tons of people have said they are going to quit b/c they can't get groups to run end game stuff with. The responses range from get a guild or learn to socialize noob. I mean really do you have to be rude? How about instead of that you put your actions where your mouth is and say something like "hey man I see you're on my server run with me sometime". Or if they are not on your server say something like "Hey if you're willing to re roll with on my server you can check out my guild". If you're not willing to do that then what right do you have to tell people they need to learn how to make friends?
  18. Classic example right there. Never even said I'm leaving. I honestly cannot stand people like this and people like you ruin an mmo just as much as the constant whiners. Grow up some you'll get more enjoyment out of life
  19. Please stop telling people bye in a smug way when they post saying they are going to cancel. I know you do it b/c you like this game and want it to succeed but honestly all you're doing is hurting the game and yourself. See I think most people think this game and the names associated it with it are simply to big to fail and therefore they feel like they can just say "bye" to whoever and that they will not miss them. This is false. Look at Star Wars Galaxies. Had the Star Wars name and a small company you might have heard of backing it, Sony. This game has the Star Wars name and Bioware. I'm pretty sure Sony was just as big. Long story short the more people you have to say bye to = the less chance the game will continue. So laugh it up and poke fun at them now and act all smug but pretty soon you might just realize there is no one left to say "bye" to. If you want this game to succeed then try to have a more positive attitude towards others whether they agree with you or not. In the end it will help us all.
  20. So first we nerfed Slicing. Now we're going to nerf Biochem and Cybernetics or whatever. Crafting in this game is already borderline useless so let's just make it even more so.
  21. LOL at Bioware is almost all I can say. Man I defended them on every single thing but I can't anymore. Everyone realize that Bioware has just NOW come out and said it was intentional b/c of server limitations right?? Everyone realize they are only doing that b/c the community got into such an uproar. These fools actually thought they could simply put in a small patch note saying that it was fixed and people would just accept it and move on. THEY LIED TO US and they only came out with the truth today. Even if you want to swallow this latest junk as truth (don't know why you would as they have lied already) that only makes them look even more incompetent. I can only imagine their meetings."Hey guys this is the most hyped MMO ever, we're spending tons of cash, it's Star Wars, HEY let's use an engine and servers that can't even handle high res textures" In short, why would you choose to use an engine that is going to give you so many problems ahead of time?? The only answers possible is that you did know and thus you're stupid, or you didn't know it would and thus incompetent. Either way it's bad.
  22. Maybe but it starts taking a significantly longer amount of time to level once you hit your 30's. I stand by there is no way someone could take 3 actual days of play time to hit 23 unless they did it on purpose.
  23. There is no way in hell you have 3 actual days of play time (72 hours) and are only level 24. Absolutely no way unless you've spent more then 2/3rds of your play time just sitting at the fleet. I don't believe I've seen someone tell such an obvious lie before in my life.
  24. No lfd tool sucks, period. The only thing you can do is stand at the fleet spamming for hours hoping you get a group. At least if I could Q myself up I could go do some dailies or something while I wait. As it stands now your community consists of nothing but "LFG DPS HM BT" spam all night every night. To be honest if you want community get tight with a guild. I have no time nor desire to get to know the 5 thousand other people I share a server with. It's not a knock on you guys at all as I'm sure most are pretty cool it's simply a matter of wanting to actually play the video game I bought instead of standing around. Lastly we're getting ahead of ourself anyway. Bioware has yet to figure out how to get you into a warzone over 50% of the time w/o putting you back to the character selection screen. With that said I'm pretty sure implementing a LFD tool would be a bit over their heads.
