  1. Pretty much this. I'll say again though I've seen nothing to make me even suspect that PTs (at least not Pyrotech PTs) are in the bottom tier of dps.
  2. I'm pretty sure they've announced dual spec for patch 1.2, so hopefully not much longer.
  3. What "stance" was your shadow tank buddy in while he DPSed? Since the Darkness Tree has DPS increasing talents for Dark Charge I'm guessing he was using that, and since dark charge increases his threat generation, and he was wearing DPS gear....
  4. Another signed. Probably one of the worst targeting systems I've seen in an MMO.
  5. The only fight where you can kind of time your dps is the fight in EV where everyone has to dps down one of Soa's guardians. That being said anyone claiming a PT's DPS is that low is only looking at AP or doing something horribly wrong.

  7. It's a tank spec built for PvP, however far as I know it does do the job for PvE tanking as well.
  8. It reduces the cool down by 3 seconds every time your hit, but has a cool down of 1.5 seconds. Considering how squishy Pyrotechs are and the lack of escape mechanics having our shield up faster is a good thing.
  9. Pretty much this. I'd probably clarify that we have the best consistent burst without requiring a ton of setup (such as coming out of stealth etc). But yeah, now if the OP is talking about an AP spec, then that could be the issue.
  10. The first build can work, wouldn't be my first choice, but I understand why you would take it, HO is decent enough in Huttball. Second build eh, reduction to the interrupt is nice and I can understand if you want to drop some damage to pick it up, again wouldn't be my first choice but understandable, but drop retractable blade and the following points, consider picking rain of fire and rail loaders instead. More than that though I suggest trying out a more fully developed pyro tree Or something like the Iron Fist if your looking for more utility.

  12. I agree Mountain Dew with real sugar is awesome, the vid was pretty good too Also: What are you talking about the only heals I saw him getting where his watchmen heals throughout that video? I'm pretty sure just about every fight in that vid was him alone against 1 or more opponents.
  13. Everything you've said sounds opposite to me. Most of our defenses are passive which is great in PvE however alot of those defenses are weak in PvP. Compared to a say a Jugg tank who has more of the active mitigation which is actually more useful in PvP (not bad in PvE either).
  14. A dps can take down a healer, that's true however if gear and skill are equal it won't be quick and it won't be easy. If you are finding it easy to dps down a healer they are either under geared or playing poorly. A good PvP healer who knows what they are doing is going to be very hard to kill 1v1, not impossible but very difficult, and honestly that's the way it should be.
  15. What's hilarious is how bad WoW was at their startup. I mean we are talking literally unplayable, servers would constantly crash, abilities flat out didn't work (I don't mean animation bugs etc I mean just not working) and so on. SWTOR is a dream in every way compared to WoW at the beginning. I'd rate current SWTOR is about the level of WoW's BC release (first expansion), in terms of balance, play ability etc.
  16. Known bug for PvP combat tech armor. Been posted about for months in the powertech forums, in game tickets basically say look for fix in a future patch (whenever that will be), no mention by the devs in the forums of a possible timeline for a fix. Best recommendation is that if your using a rail gun build (such a Pyro build) use the eliminator set (2pc is worthless but doesn't hurt anything), or use the tank set if your making a tank build (replace the mods with DPS mods though).

I think (and I could be wrong) the system will set up so that when you que up for a warzone a group from just your server will take priority, however if they can't fill that group with just players from your server then it will start grabbing players from other servers. I doubt there will be a choice (could be wrong).
  18. What is "glance rating"? I've never seen those mods.
  19. They don't need to get rid of medals, it's good that both sides get some reward. What they need to do is offer more incentive to actually win the game. This may mean reducing the medals you can get when you loose or offering some other bonus to those that win. Not sure which.
  20. I'm not sure what the big deal is one way or the other, it was a nice way to get a big heal out of combat without resorting to the channel ability. Everyone had access to frozen water and it certainly isn't hard to get so I'm not sure what the issue is. About the only thing is that certain classes could "vanish" during combat and use it, but as mentioned, if they vanish then you should immediately use it yourself if it was 1v1. If it wasn't 1v1 then I don't see what the problem is there either. Sorry just not understanding how it's an exploit.
  21. Er it's an item available to anyone, how was it an unfair advantage? Honestly I'll miss that it's gone as it helped decrease downtime, but I don't see the reason to cry over it, but it didn't provide an unfair advantage as everyone could get it.
  22. Warriors/Knights, Assassins/Shadows, Sages/Sorcs are all excellent ball carriers. Shield Techs, Sentinels/Marauders are decent ball carriers. Pyrotechs, Operatives, Snipers horrible ball carriers. Yeah we definitely can get focused fired once they realize how hard you hit, so once that starts happening it's time to start peeling to full effect. A pure shield tech doesn't do much damage, but can still be a good ball carrier, and good at protecting doors/turrets and keeping healers and other squishies alive. Speccing into something like Iron Fist gives decent damage, damage that can't just be ignored even when using the eliminator set, even better if we had a working combat tech set. It's obviously not Pyro level, but then again your not going to be focused down as fast either.
  23. Two reasons I don't use Iron Fist more, the two piece being broken and the fact that I usually switch back to a DPS spec if I run an operation. I need to go raid the republic fleet and steal the vanguard armor.
