  1. Perhaps, but it will always be remembered as more popular and more successful than Star Wars Galaxies.
  2. Seems to me that wiping on trash would be a bit of a challenge, no? Wouldn't communicating and teaching these unwashed, oh so inferior players how to get through challenging content be that much more satisfying? Or do you just want to get onto group finder, be paired only with other more competent players and dare I say faceroll through the group content?
  3. FYI: You can run by holding down both mouse buttons simultaneously, you don't need the W key.
  4. So we should all replay stale content for months so you can OCD your 12 characters? Sounds legit.
  5. 1. Collections. Just give me a tab of all the stuff that I own so I don't have to click through 8 million color crystals. 2. That no matter how close your quest marker is on your minimap at any given time you can bet your lightsaber that it will NOT be in a straight fricking line. If the devs had put 1/10 the time into content that they did into designing irritating layout time-sinks this game would have 20 million subs. 3. The isotope 5 droid fight on Makeb.
  6. On Ebon Hawk they've taken to inserting the website domain inside a Trade message. I.e. "WTS Koensayr Monocycle, less than GTN. Visit stupidfarmersite.com"
  7. I'd hardly taken any damage on my gunslinger until the annoying SoR flashpoints. Send in Bowdaar, wait for his attack to land, then Sweeping Gunfire - things just die in a blizzard of numbers. I was fanatical about upgrading barrels though. Might be broken but it was fun as hell.
  8. Just curious, but if you're bored stiff of the story line and have 4 inq's already why would you play it a fifth time?
  9. I unlocked the Cathar and for the most part regretted it up until a couple of months ago. I made a body type 3 Cathar BH and was able to make him look menacing instead of like a clown, but it took a great deal of fiddling. Many of the species are honestly kinda meh. I like the Chiss, PB Sith and Empire Zabrak, which kinda sucks since I do like playing Republic.
  10. This will end well. Raiders love being reminded how much of a minority they are.
  11. I decline all group invites. Reason being is that most of the time when I get to play I have my two-year-old daughter on my lap. She oohs and aahs at the blaster bolts, yells "Wheee!" when I'm on a flightpath, and waves hello to my character during cut-scenes. During this time I'm playing basically one-handed, and rather slowly at that. Many times the type of person who wants to group up is popping around like a ferret on meth and usually gets annoyed when I might quickly with no notice have to go AFK to keep my daughter from accidentally killing herself in some strange fashion. Even when she's in bed I don't group up. Invariably when grouping the chat is either complete silence or perhaps a mishmash of letters not too different from what my daughter would randomly pound out on the keyboard. It's really not worth it in my experience.
  12. I'm guessing dozens of professional voice actors and hundreds of hours of recording may have eaten away a good chunk of that money.
  13. Not anymore from the looks of it.
  14. I've put the parts you've selected into Partpicker. Here's what I've come up with what you'll need assuming you've got the mouse, keyboard, monitor etc. I'd recommend spending the extra hundred bucks and getting the 970 GTX but your call. The case really depends on personal preference with regards to styling, ports, etc. You'll have to research and pick one you like, but I included a sample one here. This is by no means a perfect build, I'm sure others will weigh in on choices but this should give you a really good baseline. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kQYMxr
  15. He's not going to overclock so the i5-4590 would probably be more bang for the buck.
  16. It's not bad for the price. As a guy who's not all that technically proficient I would still strongly recommend building your own system. It's honestly not that hard nowadays, and there are tons of videos on youtube on how to do it. A couple of sites I recommend: https://pcpartpicker.com/ - A fantastic utility site that helps you build a system from scratch. It makes sure the parts you select are compatible, plus it shows you the cheapest known price and where to get it. http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/ - A bunch of knowledgeable users here that can help you make the right choices and help you out if you get stuck. I just built an I-5 4590 with 8 gigs of ram, 256 GB SSD, 1 TB HD, and an Nvidia 970 for a little over a thousand bucks, saving myself around $300-500, and I'm no IT guy.
  17. Pass on what you have learned... http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/14fv
  18. I'm guessing this was more of a function of the availability or cost of the original voice-actors than negligence on Bioware's part. If you're working steadily making good money, the prospect of taking time out of your busy life to record some throwaway lines for an old project isn't really all that appealing to a voice-actor.
  19. You seem to post a lot for someone who hates this game. Stockholm Syndrome?
  20. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/electronic-arts-riccitiello-aims-high-2012-01-17?pagenumber=2 Last 2 paragraphs: Moron.
  21. Obvious now that SWTOR is in maintenance mode. At this point the QA department is probably an intern and one of the coders' girlfriends.
  22. Taken directly from a post by "Redoing" on the WoW forums, have a look at this screenshot: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/88/raidlootgmanswer.jpg/ So for WoW's LFR raid system, players are: "Needing" on gear to shard it (Reverse Engineer it for those unfamiiar) "Needing" on gear in order to trade for some other piece of gear later (Items won in WoW dungeons can be traded for a short time with other members of the raid/party) "Needing" on gear in order to just vendor it (!) "Needing" on gear in order to trade it to another guildie in the raid "Needing" on gear in order to sell it to other members of the raid who actually needed it. I don't think Bioware wants me to link the post directly here from their competitor's forums, but a quick search of their general forum should find it. So yeah, if you want evidence of the aberrant, sociopathic behavior this system promotes - look no further.
