  1. They buffed Maras, and IMO i am pretty certain that the new PvP spec is going to be Engineering... no doubt.
  2. I have read the patch note.. I am not pleased with the overall class balancing changes.
  3. Numbers prove otherwise. Leth actually Scales MUCH better with gear.. infact... Lethality is very UP unless you have atleast 30% crit [due to energy issues], which you need for your passive 2energy regen on Poison crits.
  4. It seems I have met my match. I'll take some time later to go through your post [and i read your thread as well]. I would also be willing to bet that you rerolled your Sorc after you got your Sniper to BM [am i right its cool.. i did the same thing, but my Sorcerer is not a BM yet, so I admit my ignorance in the endgame aspects of Sorc play beyond what I've experienced verses the other good Sorc PvPers on my Server]. On another note.. please give me some footage of your gameplay so i can add a MM portion to my PvP vid I'm in the process of making so we can have the most well spoken Snipers in the forums collaborate and make something that Bioware can really look at and see the shortcomings of our class. Let me also respond to a post above. One of the larger issues of PvP in ToR atm, is that though some classes "automatically" beat others [rock/paper/scissors argument] take anything a Sniper can realistically do, and then find an answer that the other 1v1 class can do to make what you just did useless. The biggest issue you come across is that due to health/expertise scaling 1v1s last too short of a period of time [less than 45sec against skilled+geared players] for Snipers VERY useful CDs to make a huge impact. I plan to have a decent amount of duels in my next video, and I can very confidently tell you that unless you catch someone in the open, and you have Entrench [which in MOST cases in an autowin], you NEED Cybertech Grenades to win. CD for CD we lose. There are also some class balancing issues at hand as well.. mainly for the Assassin, Powertech, Operative and Marauder. Marauders are squishy.. however because they have so many defensive CDs it is VERY hard to kill them... and they hit like a truck [bleeds hurt.. ALOT]. Assassins have an answer to EVERY class in the game.. in every respect a good assassin should be able to solo ANY class in the game [given they have ALL of their CDs]. Powertechs [given an average string of luck w/ procs, crits, ect] will out Damage/Tank you 1v1 in the open.. even if you entrench. Operatives [unless you can pull them out of stealth before they can open] will bring you down to 2/3rds health before you can answer.. bring in a vanish+reopen, and you're looking @ 1/3rd of your health left. They can also Evasion and Cleanse your DoTs. Ayestes will surely agree with me when I also claim our "dueling spec" to be MM/Engin. The outright burst puts ALOT more pressure which causes "freakouts" or misplays. MM is MUCH better are ruining another player's OODA loop. They also have an additional knockback, and a "blind". Leth/Engineering has too much requirements to "set up" their damage wasting valuable GCDs whereas MM does flat burst, and then resets. In a 1v1 situation your DoTs will always be cleansed. WZs are a different beast entirely. In a similar respect Arenas [unlikely to be happening anytime soon due to LARGE class imbalances] will probably be dominated by Leth/Engineering because of the sustained damage and AoE aspects of Corro Nade + the burst of Cull [which would allow for a hard switch w/ 2 globals].

I don't have any data to back it up.. however from what some of the PvE heros on my server have told me.. its only really worth it, if you have both [so you're guaranteed a proc on your trinkets every 4.5 sec]. They share an internal CD, but tested they said [on ave] it only procs about once every 6 sec. I would still argue that the extra damage that you generate from your MatrixCube/Use-Relic would be no where as good as the extra burst this trinket brings.. due to the fact that it DOES scale w/ your crit/power/surge.

  7. Good post for the MM Fanboys. Perhaps someday they'll learn. Leth/Engineering used to be better, but the most recent patch removed DoTs from preventing caps, so they hurt our utility quite a bit. I will however say that MM is MUCH better 1v1 verses Operatives, Marauders, and Assassins. Mainly due to the fact that all three of those classes can Vanish your Cull, and Ops/*** can cleanse your DoTs.

  9. That was recorded at around 2am server.. so clearly not the best or most geared competition. Most of the goods on Iron Citadel roam around 6-10pm.. Thanks for the compliment <33
  10. I can tell based on your post that you probably have not been 65 for a very long time, or you have a lack of BattleMasters in FULL BM gear on your server. I hit lv50 before 2012 hit, and have been Valor 60 about a week into January. Which means I've been a Battlemaster since PRE 1.1 If you honestly feel that our class is not broken.. then you have no concept of what other fully geared toons are capable of. That being said, the difference between our class and other classes is MASSIVE. Our skill cap is higher, but our overall damage is lower. It is EASY to top damage as a Sniper. Spam AoE skills, and DoT everyone you see.. however WarZones are not about Kills or Damage. They are about winning. Also.. EVERY other class in the game can run the ball [minis Operatives] but even they are stronger ball carriers than Snipers [self heals, ect]. Wrong again. Sorcs, and Maras kill healers [and Tanks] fasters and more efficently. Between their cc, and raw damage, Snipers fall severely behind in that Argument. You honestly just picked to 2 BEST classes for MURDERING healers/tanks. Bleeds go through Armor. So do DoTs. Sorcs are the BEST kiters in the game, and Maras hit like a truck. I mentioned in my OP that we had the best Burst in the game. This is true, however we can ONLY do that once everyone 6-18 seconds. Sorcs and Maras can do that CONSISTANTLY during the course of the game. They can also switch to new targets faster as well. Wrong again. Resolve is an extremely important factor in the game, and even though we have an incredible amount of cc, due to our lack of damage mitagation our peels are irrelevant because after your cc wears off [which it will] the target you just took out of the fight, can [AND WILL] tear you to pieces. In comparison to the other classes we lack defensive CDs to make anything we do look worth while. Wrong again. Duel a Marauder in FULL BATTLEMASTER with Rakata Offset pieces.. or a Competent Assassin/Operative. If you didn't feel the massive shortcomings of your class at that point you either are 1- Using Cybertech Nades 2- Hit ALOT of crits and are MM 3- The other player afk'd out or tremendously f***ed up. You do realize that all of this orbital strike talk is very absurd. It has a 3sec cast time, and 5 sec activation time. any player that this not slapping his d*ck on his keyboard to play this game knows they can back up 5m, or walk forward 5k and not get hit. Flashbang/Legshot ONLY keep them cc'd for 5-8secs IF they're NOT taking damage. Clearly you just admitted that as MM you don't use Dart or Probe to DPS. That speaks volumes about your spec, and "play style". Let me know how RapidFire is working out for you sir "pro status". So you are telling me that unless you are using ENTRENCH you can't win? So really unless you have ALL of your CDs you can't beat the other classes 1v1. Did i mention that the other classes can LoS you while you're entrenched, making it a useless CD 1/2 the time. GOOD players KNOW how to "deal" with Snipers. Marks does better verses Melee. Leth/Engin does MUCH better verses casters.. and tanks. I also spec into "CounterMeasures" which lets me use my aggro drop to remove movement impairing effects. Seems good if i need to drop into cover when i'm rooted. It has also been tested.. Leth/Engin does SIGNIFICANTLY more burst than MM [if your target is fully DoT'd]. It is also alot more mobile as well. Then again.. its all personal preference. I won't outright say MM is better or worse for PvP. Both specs server their purpose.. but i will comment on your spec if you're 31 points into it. Honeybadger Crits you for my two cents. ps- our interrupt has 30m of range unless you have your 4set fieldtech pvp bonus [NOT 35m like you stated earlier]

  13. *note- I am sure you're trolling, but i hit Valor65 *Pre Patch 1.1, which means my Sniper has been a battlemaster longer than 90% of the players in this game have been 50.
