  1. there's people hacking or cheating in every game so this one isn't an exception. Although it's hard to tell sometimes due to lag, skills etc. I don't believe however the majority cheats because then the game would be much worse I think. Having said that... I kinda think it's funny people cheating to be honest. Is your selfesteem that low you need to derive some worth from a game where you actually need to cheat to be good in? Personally i'd find something else to be good in without cheating, but hey, if those people are so afraid of that.... by all means, kill me more
  2. So you base yourself on 14 matches only? And also I'm curious what you have done to help improve the situation... did you send whispers to the sents to make them aware you're cc'ing? Or did you throw in a rampage like most in chat? Or just leave... be warned though, depending on your answer you might be submitted to the same IQ block you're asking for ;P
  3. no doubt its gonna be tough but I've won against premades in a random pug group. first it starts with getting the right attitude and drop the one like yours: premades always win. If you think you cant win you wont. Then indeed it takes teameffort and smart play but can be done. And yes, lots of hard work from everyone. What annoys me the most is how you see people leave as soon as they think its a premade or even when they think we're losing. And you know what, just because you leave we are actually losing. Why not stay and help instead going "rampage like a crazy angry german kid". Look at the comments made in chat: it's premade so we lose, you guys suck etc. instead of actually trying to support the group and provide alternative thinking. This I believe is kinda the problem now with the so called losing side (on my server the republic side). People think they join a pvp match to only win, but you know what... in order to win you first need to lose. So the question you ask yourself is "how come I always land on the losing side" but the better one would be: "how can I help in order to win more often". Even better would be "I win some and lose some but next one's going to be a win and i'm going to make sure of it", but this is probably to far of a stretch if you think that you're always losing.
  4. Personally I feel the only issue with guard its not dropped while you cc the "tank". Besides guard there are bigger fish to fry imo: jugg/grd dps combined with high survivability, sorc dmg/heals (no idea about sage tbh but I assume its the same), merc underwhelming atm in pvp in respect to survivability.... Again, it's how i feel atm and could be skill related however I find that when i'm by far an expert and end up as top dps on grd/jugg it's kinda weird shouldn't be so easy (and yes, multiple games or I wouldn't state it ). I don't think there's just 1 issue that needs to be addressed but multiple which makes it very difficult. Maybe back to drawing board would be best?!
  5. then you can quit 90% of the wz's
  6. And balance guardians/juggernauts... high dps is fine, but then nerf survivability and vice versa. If you life longer, then dps needs to be lower. The amounts of them around says enough.

    Dream Patch Notes

not really... only thing is you force people that are currently que'ing to group up. Part probably will, however a chunk (large chunk) just won't cause either they don't wanna find a group or they like the fun of "dropping into a group and try to make it work". It's an illusion that all in solo will ALL go into groups, that just won't happen. Besides, instead of focussing on removing stuff I'd prefer to have em work on better stuff like improve fps (which will draw more peeps into pvp since now ppl can decently play) and such.
  8. you already show the attitude of whats he's complaining about especially your next one where you ask whether he's secretly blind or so... exactly the attitude op's complaining about. Why not pretend you don't know the other guy, the other one is doing his/her best and try to help improve.... you're only as strong as your weakest link.
  9. I do love the avoidance-based tank and would love to build like that. However, it's so many more complicated for a game to make it work and have it balanced that I understand it's not a viable concept.

    Guard Breaker

Personally I don't see the problem since it's only 1 guard that can be handed out. CC the healer and the heals are gone... I do feel it's a bit weird that it keeps being applied while guard is cc'ed, so maybe adjust that (like when CC is on the tank then healer takes 100% damage). I wouldn't choose for guard to fall off, or else you're only applying and reapplying guard as a tank (yes, I'm a tank main and I've got more fun things to do then click "guard" button)
  11. knowing pvp is not knowing your class. Your class you learn by encountering mechanics that need adjustements or adaptation... quests don't have this cause that wouldn't sell. Once 60 you have a general understanding of the class, but then it really starts. Compare it to driving a car, while on learners-permit you learn the basics (what happens when I steer left, it's handy not to hit others etc.) but the real deal comes once you have your permit and are solely responsible going through traffic where a lot of things happen and you need to deal with it without backup. Nah, a new lvl60 has a general understanding of the class, but doesn't know it. However, I do agree that there are enough people rolling new chars who at least should know more.
  12. 60 is when you start learning your class. Before 60 it's learning basics: moving, hitting and thats it. Quests don't require improvisations, timings on certain skills, positioning, being aware... Quests, which you do to get 60, is run in, kill mob, run away to quest-giver to hand in and lvl up. besides that, you still compare people to yourself where you have no idea how long they played, how long they're 60, how many experience they got and what type of person it is. Some people are very aware by nature, some take practise, some are good with set rotations, some not and thus need more time to find their optimum... Just a few things that make up a player, yet you compare them to your standards with your timings, with your tactics, your experience and your gear etc. Once you become aware you're only as good as the bad and bashing won't help, then you can help the bads become better and thus raising your team. But that requires dropping your attitude of mine and actually try to understand the other.
  13. not everyone has the situational awareness as you have... some are just focussed on the fight itself and don't notice the rest. Can they get it, sure with practice and advice. But can you blaim them for not knowing when advice is advice nowadays when the chat is spammed with all the curses you can find and then add a few. A simple comment ment as advice is then derailing already. And sorry to say, but a tank in dps line asking to go soresu is kinda meh... I understand that guard is handy for healers, but you're gimping the dps(tank) badly and it's not in the intended playstyle (I mean, there's a dps line he choose from...). Does that make his respond valid? not at all, but I can see both sides kinda having a point. Personally I feel there's more to do on the communication side of things and sorry to say, but a rant on the forums won't help and make ppl more acceptive to advice (acception is the key here so they'll try new things for example read chat while fighting or simply look around ;P). Same as "forcing" ppl to play a role (sages must heal, tanks must go soresu etc). Thats adding fuel to the frustrations of losing already against the fotm-classes and intens QQ-ing in chat.
  14. Not true at all. It does sound nice, however I have experience in a game that did this exactly and the problems around balancing are still there, maybe became even greater then before since you have to take ALL the pve-gear posibilities into account. Now you kinda have like 1 pvp set for each to work around. Also this makes that pvp'ers NEED to start raiding, agreed some do, but some don't. Myself for example don't care much about pve / raiding atm (i can't due to job requirements) and love the pvp. Your idea puts me already in a spot where I can't obtain the needed pve-gear (raid-gear). So tell me again where your skill is kicking in then? Cause no matter how much skill, I'll be facing guys with raid-gear and basicly already lost (yes, I talk from personal experience in another game... seen this happen and caused pvp to become... well, they dumped good pve gear in there in order to keep the numbers in pvp or it would've died). replacing pvp-gear with pve-gear is not balance, it's for pve'ers wanting to be pro.
  15. Some good ideas there that I agree with. I don't feel the same about reducing the size from 8v8 to 6v6... or maybe add some maps with bigger groups. I would love to see more raid vs raid action tbh and some "open map" action. Not like on a planet, but more like a big sized wz area with some targets for both teams (conquer some towns or so for support etc).
