  1. So let's see. I decide to venture into ranked pvp solo and this has been my experience in the past four days: Told to kill myself 6 times Told Im **** and my mom should have aborted me. Watched two of my teammates kill themselves at start of match for win trading 11 times. Told that its players like me that ruin pvp for people because I dont have 'the best gear' (numerous times) Told I was a special education player because I dont have friends to play with in teams and I should end my 'down syndrome life' by sticking a fork in an electrical socket twice by the same player in the same match. I hate PVP Ranked because of the toxicity of the player base at that level. You will be made to feel like absolute garbage regardless of what you do or try to do. You get tunneled and killed almost at the start of a match? You're **** and told to die. Reporting players like this does not do anything as its always the same batch of players in ranked. At least in unranked theres a variety of players and you wont always run into the same people. Honestly - SWTOR Staff needs to do a better job dealing with this level of harassment, toxicity, and downright cruelty from players. Completely clean out the ranked player base based on the reports submitted and give the same game mode a fresh start. Readjust the gearing to pre-5.0 for progression (earn the gear in unranked, get the better gear through pvp progression) that way everyone is on the same playing field.
  2. Holy hell I've never seen a gaming company treat veteran players this badly. Eric, what the hell are you all thinking over there? You're getting trashed on your forums, trashed on youtube, trashed on reddit... and though you normally get trashed for things from a small vocal minority... THIS IS A MAJORITY of your player base that are sticking their middle fingers right at you all. As Chris Carter would say, "C'mon, Man!?"
  3. Seems like a server issue itself (obviously) and not a full server. Since its the weekend don't expect a fix.
  4. Played on my DS smuggler and LS Knight. Both times I think they failed the chapter. For someone like Kaliyo, it just seemed rushed. Truly rushed. I'd have liked a bit more interaction with her. The same "omgurd they're all spoiled" stuff is sad. The same trash mobs repeatedly is also becoming taxing. Somethings gotta change but I highly doubt it will.
  5. I have characters on the Ebon Hawk and Jung Ma servers and I am having large spikes. I can get as low as 19ms and have been as high as 24k. Spoke with my ISP (Comcast) whom has stated my internet is fine. I am able to get clear signals for other mmo games on my laptop as well as XBox One (streaming games, playing multiplayer, etc.). They indicated its an issue on the games server side and to take it up with the games maker (i.e. bioware). There is nothing they can do. Edit: I cant even load into a warzone. It takes forever to load and if the match has already started Im kicked for inactivity. >.>
  6. Thats the problem. Instead of saying "i done goofed" its always that ONE SINGLE person who screams at me, the team, or another person about how much we suck and we're the reason they lost (keep in mind the person ranting never admits to having done anything wrong) Why not just explain what we did wrong via op chat, via whisper, ect? Is that too hard? For example. Lets say I fudge up a guard situation (i.e. I switch to wrong target at the wrong time) why not explain something I might have missed instead of ranting, threatening, scolding, ect? Keep in mind its always that one person whom seems so easily set off. Is this part of the reason the ranked doesnt pop frequently? The toxicity and people not wanting to deal with it? On a side note I apologize im not able to record on my current computer.
  7. Yes. However my opposing team was prepped for that for the most part. I would get pulled and ccd. When i would manage to get free, I would typically guard the person getting focused HOWEVER the moment I was free i already had one or two opponents on me tearing me down. My healers in the three matches couldnt match their dps output. Like i said, i did everything i thought I could. I used my cc, stuns, ect. I used guardswap. However my opponents were on their game. They knew to take down a tank first upon me free of anything.

    Guard Breaker

Absolutely not; unless upon breaking there is a 4-8 second stun to attackers in a 10m range that is cancelled should stun players receive damage of any kind (im looking at you happy go lucky grenade throwers ). There is no issue with "guard". Im not saying pvp cant be an absolute pain. It takes a team to win and a team to lose, you can out dps a healer when burning down their tank through interrupts, stuns, knockbacks, pulls, ect. The issue is not wasting those abilities before encountering a healer with guard. On a side note: more often than not i see force leap happy tanks go leaping into combat and completely bailing on their guarded player. Thats a sight i dread to see on my Merc Healer and one i love encountering as an opponent lol.
  9. I guess... Thanks for the reply? "Dude youve played plenty of games..." I have actually only played three games with three different teams. As for your checklist below: no to min/max simply because Im in the process of acquiring dark reaver for my Guardian Tank (farming comms on alts and such), yes to know what I am doing. Guard swap only works when your team stays in range or you can get back into range after a pull, cc, stun for guard to start doing its job. Ive tried keybinding and doesnt work for me. I do better on my tank with clicking / minimal keybinding. My concern isnt my wins and losses. You can lose a good match and still feel good after the loss. Its the toxicity of the environment. My question, I guess, is why are some people so passionate about ranked that they go off like fireworks on the fourth of july and no not in the fun way.
  10. So I finally gave in last night after seeing all the messages about fleet "queue solo" and "solo ranked popping". I've never done solo ranked once on an alt; however I do have the full 168 gear with augments on my Guardian Tank. So I queue up AND... wait. Yes I waited. Fifteen minute wait pop 1, twenty-two minute wait pop 2, another 15 minute wait pop 3. My first match was pub v imp. We got wrecked. Embarrassingly rekted. I did everything I should (I think) in the match as a tank. I used guard, leaped, absorbed, etc etc. Our shadow however got torn down within seconds. This is where I got my first taste of the toxicity of solo ranked. Our "healer" went absolutely bat-**** crazy on us. Claimed the first loss was on our shadow after a slew of profanity. In Match two I survived a bit longer (I was second to last to die with our healer being last). The opposing team was on their game. They took down our two dps immediately, then shredded me, then our healer. In that order both games. I got my first loss but once more the healer went off on the two dps and I claiming he did more damage while healing and probably could have protected better. Stats said differently. You know what though? I thought this was only one match. There is no one I will have someone like this in every game. WRONG. Match Two and Three were against the same Republic Team (I believe they were a group (?) which consisted of dps vanguard, tank vanguard, shadow, and sage healer). In game one we lost with our opponents focusing me first in both matches and getting me down. Our sage dps got even more salty than the healer sage from match one and cussed me up one wall and down another. Keep in mind I tried everything from stuns, interrupts, enraged defense... everything to survive but they simply shredded me apart. Like I said Match Three was against the same Republic Team as Match two and they had the same strategy. This time a gunslinger started tearing apart our healer in chat for "not keeping us alive" and "costing us the game" against "nubs". When we lost match two this same gunslinger went onto /say and proceeded to trash us to the opposing team. I realized after this that being 0-3 in my first three ranked matches does suck but its not the end of the world. I need to improve, I admit that. What truly upset me was the conduct of players on my teams in ranked. Yes we've all seen people go off in regs of every tier. Sometimes its funny and sometimes its eye-raising but ranked is something different all together. Its very pointed and very personally aimed at other players. I wanted to see if I could be any good in ranked. My conclusion is no and for this reason: After just three matches I was left with a sour taste I just cant shake. I thought I was prepared for the anger, rage, and contempt of some players in pvp but regs has absolutely nothing on Ranked. I wanted to save some tokens to be able to get at least a small cheap pvp item just so I can say I have it. After just three ranked matches I can say I feel it is not worth it. I don't have friends in this game which is why I queued solo (groups are out of the question for now for me), I also don't like harassment. Should I try and keep going and playing? Perhaps see what my rating is if I managed to hit 0-10? Or should I say f*** this tier of pvp and just stay in regs? I guess a more important question is why do people get so bloody angry in Ranked? Is it simply due to ratings? If so why are they queuing solo and not as a group if worried about their rating?
  11. ^ ditto. Juggs/Guardians all over ebon hawk tonight.
  12. I concur. The only time people complain is when this issue is on the opposing team yet I never see threads "OMGurdz, our team had an unstoppable heal/guard situation that wasnt fair to our opponents". In 8v8 matchmaking is a roll of the dice. A stalemate shows that 16 people were either really good or really bad. You earned that stalemate in mass and forgive me if I am wrong, there are no real stalemates correct? Someone wins and someone loses everytime; its just that some games go the full time limit and some end in just a few minutes.
  13. I play heals in warzones. We are only "op" when we are left alone. I was in seven matches today. In five I got focused each and every time I appeared which hindered my ability to heal. In those five matches I averaged 500k due to being torn apart every bloody time I tried to help a teammate out (8v8 regs). However in the two matches where I was not focused and survived without dying once, I hit 1.4m and 1.7m heals. In only one of my matches (the 1.7m healing) did a guard get put on me (by a shadow). Its not the role, its the opponents. If you dont focus the healers early and hard, they will run rampant. On the flip side I could whine and complain about dps classes, or stealth classes, or tank classes. I dont. Ive been on the recieving end of an arse whooping more times than I want to admit as a healer. There is not an issue with the healers; if anything its that enough people enjoy playing them that they are perceived to be a problem. People complain about them when they face them but no one seems to whine when theyre on theyre team. -shrug- Edit: As for tanks: I have a Guardian Tank. They are perfectly fine. Put a guard on a healer, do what you must to protect them and they will keep you alive (if they know what theyre doing). You two become like yin and yang, inseperable and nearly unstoppable if working together.

    Pvp Medals issue

I can confirm this as well. I have played nine matches since update on Merc and Sage Healers. I have put 1.4m or above healing on both merc and sage in every match. I do not get my healing medals at 90k or 360k on either in every match. I have played four matches on my tank guardian and he does not get the 360k guarding medal even when guarding above 700k a match.
