  1. Welcome to your first class in Practical Human Behavior OP. It is not EA/BW's fault that there are people who will lie/cheat/steal from other players. I guarantee that if they changed the system to lock in rules at a group start they would get 1000 times the grief they would get over this. Bottom line: You roll with a pug group, you take your chances
  2. Then I would still say that Razor chose to move ahead with the capabilities it had. Which I can understand as there would be an expectation that the keyboard would be used for other games where "full" macroing would be allowed. Bottom line, BW has been very consistent with their stance. They do not allow multi task to one key press macroing. You chose to buy the keyboard and you chose to not understand or to ignore the limitations placed on it by BW. That doesn't make this EA / BWs fault.
  3. Razor got permission to put the SWTOR name on their products. As their own disclaimer states, they are not affiliated with SWTOR, EA or BW. THEY decided how they were going to market the items. THEY are responsible for not checking with EA / BW about what they would allow. BW, amazingly, has been rock steady on this point that I am aware of, NO MACROS that perform multiple actions. This goes back to launch when people were screaming for in-game macros. Many people asked back then about keyboards that allowed programming and the SAME answers were given then. I followed those threads closely as I also have a programmable keyboard. Furthermore, as posted above, BW has once again replied to this in detail just recently so the "I didn't know" clause doesn't work.
  4. No, this is NOT a complaint thread about class changes or balancing or anything for saberstaff wielders in game. However.. Having just re-installed the game I was watching all the cinematics again and it struck me that in those the saberstaff wielders almost always get hurt. Return: Malgus is smashing Setele. Gets saved by her master. Malgus master .. well, he bought it Hope: While Satele wins, she has to be saved by the trooper. SO WHY THE HATE BW! (This thread is NOT SERIOUS thread but I would love a comment from a gold )
  5. Just like it says. I'm sorry but most of the gun sound effects are terrible. Lets get some mods that let us change it. Change the letters or something (example: Reflex Barrel 28T = X sound)
  6. Sorry .. I still remember the deserts and having to re-roll repeatedly to find Harbinger. I say BRING EM ON! The more we can have the more we can do.
  7. HK is FANTASTIC to have from level 1. Yes, have to replace his gear to start but even with a level 1-3 rifle he can solo anything up to boss level stuff. I have lots of fun sending him to destroy one group of mobs while I trash the other. Having the full bar of skills is a definite asset (just turn off stealth suit). Also, in many missions you get a choice for droid parts as one of the reward choices and several of the planet comms vendors have parts as well (cheaper than regular gear I might add). Once you get all moddable parts (orange for instance) then he is no different than any other character.
  8. Can you PLEASE stop with the re-skins? Most of that is current armor with bits either removed (set 1 helm) or added (set 1 boots). The new dragon armor is re-skins with flashy bits. When will we see something new?
  9. Suggestion: Could we get a different symbol for Heroic missions vs regular ones?
  10. A gentle nudge. I would guess that the new effects you have put on the armor is new tech. That's great. In some cases it looks great. In others, not so much (personal opinions vary). However, adding these touches is NOT the same thing as releasing NEW armor. I am asking that you not get carried away with backfilling existing gear, adding some flashy/pulsing bits and then calling it new. It isn't. Also, spinning wheels at the end of X weapon is NOT some kind of super upgrade / appearance change. Every weapon released with this new tier is an existing weapon with a wheel. Please change them in the future.
  11. So, I am having a debate in guild atm over stat prioritization for tanking. With the drop of 2.0 I've read many posts and or websites stating that Shield absorb are now better than trying to stack defense but a senior raid leader and his entourage disagree. So which is it?
  12. First off Eternalnight, thank you for aptly demonstrating why most people don't come out to these forums. Nice to see the elitest smug answer crowd hasn't changed much. Second off, If I had known that little fact about taunt mechanics, I wouldn't have asked for clarification about it. Especially since that is different than what I have seen in other threads around the same subject. Third off, I will leave you all to your conversations. I appreciate the first 2 replies. The third one the poster can take and shove into their nether regions.
  13. Taunt used to be an agro build, not just a force to attack, especially >30m. Are you telling me this changed?Crushing blow takes 2 cycles to set up (leap, sunder) so I have to tell my dps to wait 5 seconds? What about backhand? It says it's supposed to be high threat? Even using the taunt to get this boss in position, why didn't backhand hold long enough to get crush off? As for AOE tanking, I know all about Saber Reflect and I use it and smash and aoe taunt. Doesn't help much. I can't hold the droid packs in EV (nor the firedogs).
  14. Backgroud: Level 55 tank. Fighting Garjh (lava island boss in HM EV) I open with taunt then jump in and immediately backhand. Waiting for the very next GCD I lost aggro to a sorc. How? I was a tank on this character 0-50 then benched her till Makeb. Switched to DPS to get through Makeb faster. Trying to go back to tanking. 1 item with 63 pieces, everything else 66 blue or better (3 comm 162 pieces) Seems that something is borked with jug aggro abilities. I cannot even hold agro on single target and mutli target is still a sad joke. I've also seen this with other jug tanks in both HM FP and Ops. Even with taunt as part of my rotation I can lose agro. Any ideas?

  17. I must disagree with the OP about how similar dye is to crystals: Color Crystals: 4 variations per color. Color limited to pack bought (So you can target what you want). Never a requested item (outside of request for more colors). Dye Packs: 20+ variations. Color totally random (within odds established). MASSIVELY requested as a customization ability. As far as I can recall, the inference from BW was that the majority of these dyes would be available via vendors/crafting, not the bulk from the cash store. They were very careful to never give numbers. This interview is carefully phrased to give an appearance of balance in numbers (http://ootinicast.com/2013/04/dye-modules-in-game-update-2-1/) giving the impression that it wasn't another plain money grab. My suggestion to fix a lot of this is simple, allow the dyes to be RE-able
  18. I have 1 minor and 1 major issue with 2.0. Minor: Existing character adjustments, minus the new hair / eyes/ whatever, should have a credit cost as well as a cartel coin cost. Changing race should still cost only cartel coins. Race unlocks are fine as well since they can be sold on GTN for credits. Major: Random gambling pack dyes. This is the real kick in the backside out of this whole patch. At a minimum, all packs should be able to be reverse engineered. This random garbage crosses the line.
  19. How much stuff do you have that would go into your collections? When I tried to log in I got a long load time as well and I suspect it was all the database work happening behind the scenes to not only account for Collection stuff but to update all your gear for dye packs. just a guess.
  20. That would cause a riot ... no thanks. I think they can't figure out how to make it look decent. An example of what I am talking about is the boss at the end of Esseles. His hood is not attached at the base except at 2 points leaving a noticeable gap. It's pretty ugly.
  21. Question for the devs (apologies if this is a dead horse question): In 2.0 one of the changes you made was to the debuff applied by tracer missile. Mercs now get the full effect with one shot. My understanding is that this is one of the "buffs" to the class because it freed up having to sit there and stack the debuff. So, if that is true, why do I still have to stand and stack to get the benefit of the improved rail shot skill? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of allowing the full debuff to armor in one shot?
  22. I'm sorry but I disagree. I find it a grand idea to have something that you can have special for all the time and credits spent leveling a skill.

I am looking for information of what I thought were new weapons added to the game where you had to have a certain skill level in a crafting skill to use them (example 450 artifice to use XXX saber). Are there any such items in game? This is not reputation requirements, but crafting skill requirements
