  1. [*]The Welcome Window can only be moved when the "Enable Movable Secondary Window" setting is active. This does not work. I have tried it several time and that window is completely grayed out. I had the setting active already, I tried deactivating it, then turning it on again, and I can't move it. Ops tonight is going to be really annoying with that thing sitting there unmoveable.
  2. I'm pretty sure Charles has referenced this on Twitter. I'm putting down here what I remember, and just remember that memory is the first thing to go... =) Charles said that a saboteur can choose to stop being a saboteur and that they would eventually rejoin their faction. Nothing was said about how many choices would be involved or how long it would take for the change to be acknowledged in the game. Again, that I remember. So maybe it's just not enough choices yet.
  3. I am a Sub, I've been one since the game started, and it honestly doesn't bother me in the least to have this chapter available to more players! It's so unique and funny that it should be shared more widely with the player base. If you want to tie it to being subbed to the game or sell it, fine, but it's just too good not to be shared. One of the funniest times I've had in the game is taking my nephew down there and getting him shot by HK without telling him about it ahead of time! =) (Yes, he's got his own account that was subbed, too) For anyone complaining about having been subbed for the original release, you got your prize, you played it years before anyone else, just be content with that. There's no reason to be proprietary about it at this point, imo.
  4. Eric, is that two per server? Thanks for clarifying that, Eric!
  5. Great story! It make me think back to a week or two ago when Charles tweeted something that was very close to a line from "The Piano Man" and a friend and I ended up replying/'singing' "Tell us a story today." Inspiration? Probably not, but I'm grateful for it anyway, it was an awesome read!
  6. Eric, thanks for the post and please thank the team on our behalf. I realize deciding all of this took time and effort balancing that it went on un-fixed for quite some time against the personal responsibility of the players. People who are trying to throw the blame back at Bioware, I have ZERO sympathy for. I do not believe that anyone doing this could not know that this was an exploit and a cheat. You do not get gear, comms, materials, and schematics for nothing in this game. Taking advantage of this was STUPID. It is easily tracked and anyone expecting to get away with this without repercussions was living in a dream world. I think it likely the reason it took so long is that they did acknowledge their own responsibility in letting the exploit go on as long as it did while deciding what actions to take. I am glad Bioware is taking appropriate actions against those who knowingly did this. The exploit was obvious enough that no one could avoid knowing it was both illegal and stupid. You made your own bed, folks, now you'll lie in it for varying lengths of time. We can only hope you'll learn from your errors.
  7. Eric, we just finished up for the night, but we were seeing some pretty big server lag spikes on Shadowlands, too. Just wanted you to know!
  8. I think someone just added the wrong stat to the Shadow/Assassin earpieces and implants when they were being created. But I'm posting here to lay out the numbers for the devs. These are the stats on the base green-quality versions. Cybertech Earpieces for Tanks Powertech/Vanguard--Frasium Cosmic Combat Module MK-1, 172 Aim, 177 Endurance, 79 Shield, 84 Defense Juggernaut/Guardian--Frasium Bulwark Module MK-1, 172 Strength, 177 Endurance, 79 Shield, 84 Defense Assasin/Shadow--Frasium Supercharged Resistance Module MK-1, 172 Willpower, 177 Endurance, 79 Surge, 84 Defense. Clearly, one of these things is not like the others. When I first noticed this, it was apparent to me that someone simply input the wrong stat and just selected Surge instead of Shield. This incorrect stat was also put into implants. Biochemistry Implants for Tanks Powertech/Vanguard--Anodyne Response Implant MK-1, 172 Aim, 177 Endurance, 79 Shield, 84 Defense Juggernaut/Guardian--Anodyne Reaction Implant MK-1, 172 Strength, 177 Endurance, 79 Shield, 84 Defense Assassin/Shadow--Anodyne Resistance Implant MK-1, 172 Willpower, 177 Endurance 79 Surge, 84 Defense Again, one of these is not like the others. I have pursued the implants and the problem persists into the blue and the purple versions. I haven't done so with earpieces, but it's probably the same there. I hope this is fixed in a patch soon!
  9. Well, when you first put in a 16man group finder, you had to scale it back due to performance. It went back in and the one I was in performed just fine. I've got faith you guys will figure out a way to make it happen. =)
  10. Yeah... I ran the Imperial side last night, I hope to get through the Republic side in the next couple of days! This is an amazing start and is just rife with possibilities! The artwork was amazing, too, the opposing capitol ships in orbit, the dogfighting, the class ships and GSF ships visible.. wonderful attention to detail! And then the post-debrief where both sides are kinda going, "Um... that was weird, what just happened?" I am really looking forward to seeing where this goes! =)
  11. This occurred for two of the four people in my group last night as well. It was the post-FP scene in the Fleet Cantina with Lana after you have completed both of the new FPs. They chose the #3 conversation option on the first bubble choice and they were both thrown out of the cut scene completely. After several attempts and the same results, they chose other options and the cut scene proceeded normally.
  12. I think she is working from home today, I would if I had to get up at oh-dark-hundred!
  13. Don't discount Kira. It would be a brutal battle, especially with Dark Jaesa, but Kira would be the one standing at the end.
  14. Darth Jadus. There is no way I found to kill him, you either capture him or he escapes. He WILL return and when he does, he will want my Sniper's head a on stick and my Operative's to decorate that... He really does give me the creeps, what a great villain!
  15. Based on Sumari Tao'ven's (Ranna's mother) outfit from Kalikori village on Tython. It's one of the nicest outfits I've seen anywhere in the game and I'd love to put it on a character or two.
  16. That's the idea, Darky. They are coming up with a solution so we can each have the version of the armor we like. Be happy about that!
  17. Damion, thank you. I realize that people had expectations based on a picture I barely glanced at, because I rely on previews rather than advertising pics. You made them happy. Sadly, in doing so, it destroyed the looks many of us thought were some of the best armor sets you guys have put out. I understand that, and I'd like to think most of the people reading this thread understand it, too, in spite of the mind-numbing bickering going on in this thread. My history? I got a cartel pack and got part of the spymaster set. I'd been keeping an eye out for something for my operative to wear and that was so cool that my GM, out of nothing more than his kindness and generosity, bought me the other half. I'd been looking HARD for my assassin. I wanted pants for her, but female-wearable pants for a Sith inquisitor who leveled without a partner to get social points with... well, that's nearly impossible. Just a note for your art department. Inquisitors dont always want to be drapy and flowy in their gear! Then I stumbled across the Phantom chest and loved it, in its old look, mind you. After some careful research of making sure the spymaster pants would color match well, I knew that was precisely the look I wanted for my assassin. A guildie gifted me a set of Spymaster pants and another gave me a Phantom upper body set. I have awesome guildies. I shared the look I'd created with the guild and there were those who like it so much, they did it for their characters. It made me really happy that other people like it so much they wanted it the same or a very similar look for their characters. I was deliriously happy with the looks of my assassin and my operative both. I even laughingly said that the spymaster set was a special suit designed to work with the stealth generator that my operative was field-testing. =) I did see the note in the patch notes, but didn't really think about it a lot (it was early and I hadn't had caffeine yet) and logged in yesterday morning to complete and utter shock and dismay. Not one, but BOTH my cherished looks had been ... well, destroyed. People here can crow about forum notes and you should have known all they want. It doesn't change the fact I had looks on two characters that were awesome and perfect and they were both wrecked by this change. I feel for those who wanted the updated looks and what they went through, but the rest of us shouldn't have to suffer the same loss they did for that. I will be watching and waiting, with bells, whistles, and any other whoop-it-up noisemaker I can find for when we can get our much-loved looks back. =) Thank you again, Damion, and Joveth, too, for going to bat for us all. I really appreciate this.
  18. Both sides who want different looking armor have valid issues that need resolution. I, for one, have faith in Joveth, but this thread is no longer serving any valid purpose as it has devolved into pointless back-and-forthing about who is right or wrong. That is NOT the point here. The point is that all of us had certain expectations of the armor and it was changed from whichever you had to something else, or from something that didn't match your expectations into something you did. Neither side is invalid at all and I hope Bioware will be able to give those of us who liked the previous look back the sets we loved. That said, I will take my leave and urge you all to a little more respect and courtesy of each other's viewpoints.
  19. Spooky, thank you for the laugh, I so needed it today!!! =)
  20. Joveth, I would have though you went home an hour ago! You DO have a life outside Bioware, remember! If something can be done, though, I for one would be so completely grateful and thrilled. Thank you for sharing this with us.
  21. Joveth, can those of us that are so deeply disappointed in this change somehow get back the looks we love on both sets?? I really want those looks back, is there a way we can have them? It means a lot to quite a few of us. Thanks.
  22. Joveth, I loved both sets as they were before this fix. Is there any chance we can get some other armor sets based on those models in (very) near future? Losing the look I loved on both my Assassin and my Operative makes this a very sad day.
  23. Seems the only way out since both sides have valid points... yes, I will reluctantly allow the fluff-and-shoulderpads group that they have valid points. I will point out you should NEVER buy anything without viewing it in the preview though and make your actual purchase decision based on that. That's what I did, I judged by the preview window and I LOVED what I saw there. I'd searched for weeks for a good look for my assassin. I finally came across the awesome combination of the Phantom chest with the Spymaster pants. it was perfect. Then I talked about it and showed my guildies. Some of them gifted me with pieces. Others like the concept so much they did it for their characters. Those three things, the creation, the gifts and the others who did it made that look mean a lot to me. Then I logged in today and found... omgah, my dismay was HUGE. But enough rambling on my reaction. The obvious way out so that everyone gets what they believe they were promised is to split the gear sets and get us into our preference. It wont be easy and would take time, but I truly hope Bioware can find a way to make it happen in a timely fashion.
  24. The old look is SO much better, I hate the v-neck pad and the hood. I chose this based on its preview appearance. If people are so dumb they cant use the preview feature to see how a piece actually looks, then they really need to re-think how they choose gear. My assassin looked absolutely awesome before and now it is awful. Please change it back to its original appearance so those of us that actually PREVIEWED it on our character can have the look we paid for.
  25. Sorry, Bioware, love your game, but I hate these changes to the Phantom and Spymaster chestpieces. My Assassin and my Operative looked fantastic before you changed these and now they look awful and I will have to find a new look for each of them. Please, PLEASE, change them back, they looked SO much better before this morning's patch. I even sent Joveth a message via Twitter telling him they were so much better before.
