  1. Well, I'm guessing you're either using an i7 2600 or an AMD which are 95Wand 100W cpus. Not sure if you're using 1 or 2 or more cards, I'm guessing 1 if you're only using 2 fans. I have the i7 3960x which is a 130W cpu coupled with 2 GTX 580s (@244W TDP). RAM, Northbridge, and Southbridge will add heat too. Under stress, the loop is 45-47 Celsius. That's about 30 degrees Celsius cooler than the cards would operate at if air cooled and about 20 for the CPU. If I set the push fans to 100% they temp drops to about 40 degrees Celsius. The cooler the system, the longer the MTBF generally speaking. If you have a good Full Tower case you have more than enough room to fit the loop inside. Mine consists of a 360MM Rad, dual 5.25 Reservoir with pump attached to the back, 3 120mms pushing and 2x 230s pulling with a 230mm intake and additional 140 in the back, and it all fits inside my HAF-X. WC isn't more complex than air cooling, just higher maintenance. There really aren't that many more pieces because you're essentially swapping fans for water blocks. WC is not recommended if you aren't an enthusiast or can't maintain it yourself. But, it doesn't necessarily make it overrated.
  2. The system failure was because the corsair X50 took a dump and everything overheated...and the Ultra is a X4, which is the system I built, not Cyberpower. It's the third Ultra I've used in Machines and never had a problem. Only thing is it's 80 Bronze not gold or platinum. The whole X50 mess was why I got smart on comps and learned to build my own. BTW, WC isn't overrated, if you got the time to keep it maintained. But you need a real loop, not the no maintenance stuff out there. Your system will run 20-25 degrees Celsius cooler than air while not sounding like an airplane. Cyberpower's customer service was fantastic, for me at least, which is why I recommend them if having a computer built.
  3. Even the Role Play isn't very good in this game. I don't roleplay, but SWG's RP blew this out of the water. Mos Eisley would be hilarious some times when people were walking around in formations of Stormtroopers or Rebel Soldiers...or even those rping Swoop Gangs lol. Let's look at space.... the Original X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter is a better space game than this. Even when SWG ended, it was the best 3D Space game out there at 8.5 years old. Nothing, not even STO could compare. They invested all their time and effort in this game to leveling characters while almost completely neglecting the stuff that keeps subscribers around. 8 Storylines (16 if you include Light Side/Dark Side), then the same planet quests, Space Missions, Flash Points and PvP WZs over and over. You can't get to 55 by doing just the class quest so you have to pick your method of torture to get to 55.
  4. They changed it with 2.0 so that the Rakata, Columi, and Tionese set bonuses were tied to the Armoring and not the shell.
  5. It came from the Tionese Crystal Box before 2.0. Not sure if the Corellia Box gave it .
  6. Some people can't stand watching 5 colors of paint dry.... Look at how many Cartel Packs have been introduced in this game in the roughly 6 months its been out. Warzones are infinitely easier to design than Operations. All they've done in 1.5 years for the PvPer is ruin Open world PvP and screw up 2.0 PvP with Bolster (@lvl 55 anyways), and the newest WZ is 7 months old.
  7. If you can build you own, if not I definitely would recommend Cyberpower. I bought my first gaming rig through them before I started building my own and they have quality service. I did have a meltdown and they went good for everything but shipping the Computer to them. My GFs comp I built 1.5 years ago runs SWTOR flawlessly and I don't think I quite spent $1000. It has: i3 2100 3.1GHZ 3MB Cache GSkill 8GB DDR3 1333 Ram Gigabyte Z68 Mobo EVGA Nvdia GTX 460 Seagate 1TB 7200RPM HDD Ultra 750W Modular PSU Core Component Brands I'd recommend MOBO: ASUS, MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte RAM: GSKILL, Corsair, Crucial, or Kingston Vid Card: EVGA, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI HDD: WD or Seagate (SSD: Crucial) PSU: Corsair, Ultra, Rosewill, Thermaltake (Like the above posts, don't skimp here look for 80 Plus Gold or Platinum.) The last thing I'd recommend is make sure your case can breathe. Good air flow can be the difference in parts lasting a year for 5 years.
  8. This is the first model with those sfx that doesn't look horrendous. If you're looking for a good time use both the Justice and the Primordial Assault Cannon between you and Jorgan .
  9. Dread Guard Relic of Boundless Ages and the either the Dreadguard Relic of Kinetic Tempest or the Ephermeral Mending Relic.
  10. Same for the Gree Saberstaff on my Type one Female Shadow....looks like she has a broom handle on her leg.
  11. Jawa Tank, Commando, and Sniper FTW! As long as the weapons don't scale with them.
  12. Thanks for the replies...I had already gone with the base mods and got rid of the lettered, then figured I better ask before I start shipping pieces to alts and go SOB, I need to go back to lettered. Only my earpiece is crit right now, I may play around and see if adding 1 mod and enhancement would be beneficial.
  13. A simple fix would be to make them CRAFTABLE and tie it to valor rating. Like 50 for Partisan and 75 for Conqueror or w/e. Then have 2 mats be bought and or given with the daily and/or put on a vendor. A mat that costs rated comms and one for regular comms. The regular comms mat will make Partisan Rated and the Ranked would make Conqueror rated. Either make the mods schematics or REable. It would be win win imho. BW gets their time sink, the players get to min/max at not a retarded cost, and it gives crafters something else to make them more than borderline relevant.
  14. To clarify, he would never corral the trash throughout, we were mostly fine because we were able to dps them down, but there were a couple times where their weren't enough CCs and the dogs would go for the healer, I'd hit mortar volley or another aoe to peel them off the healer while he would be tanking a gold in the corner. On the 4 bosses, he kept trying to tank the marauder in the corner LOSing himself from the healer and tanking the mob that's going to jump anyway rather than stay in the middle and keep the group occupied. We marked the bosses and stated the kill order in chat (Agent, Marauder, Sorc, and BH). The Sorc and BH would go straight for the healer every time. TL;DR Yes, he knew very little if nothing at all and herp derps his way along LOL..
  15. I pug a Mando raiders with a guildie, he was healer I was DPS, we get in the FP and see the tank is 69s + augmented. We were like this should be easy....yea ok..after each dying a few times to the boarding party, we sort of realized he wasn't area taunting at all after adds kept mugging my guildie. Anyway after we've wiped a couple times we try to explain the fight and he was absolutely insistent that he only needed to tank 1 of the 4 and it was Erzaline. So after 1 more wipe we said peace and put him on ignore.
  16. Roll a tank or healer and you won't ever wait for a FP to pop.
  17. Yes, Biochem on your main with Diplomacy and Bio Analysis. Getting the reusable medpac, adrenal, and stim is huge for running Ops. If you're looking to just sell mats gathered, go Bio analysis, Scavenging and Slicing. Like the above post said, get moddable gear and keep it updated using planetary comms.
  18. TBH, I'd be happy if they removed the MMG requirement for 30s. Right now it's almost pointless to craft anything but hilts/barrels. That being said, there is also no reason why a couple MMGs don't drop in HM TFB/S&V. Maybe 2 in 8M, 4 in 16M, then 4 and 6 for NiM.
  19. I'm not confused...you have to hit the Uggs to get credit for the kill count. If you let the Wookiee kill them you don't get credit. It takes less time to kill them than it does to take the long way (not using the door or police speeder)....
  20. Thanks for the input. Does this mean the lettered mods are better than the base numbered mods? EG.. the 30A with 77 Aim but 29 Power over the 30 with is 52 power and only 63 Aim?
  21. If you use the 2 short cuts (slicing the door and police car terminal), killing the adds will allow you to not have to go past the bonus boss to get enough kills to activate him. The 2 short cuts saves more time than not killing the pigs.
  22. And more often then not, they're guildless because no one will hold their hand 24/7.....
  23. Has anyone figured out the magic number for aim before you focus on power. I'm at 3227 Aim and I am gaining less bonus damage than if I was using power, however it is miniscule, but still getting the increase to crit?
  24. It's the bane of this game, the RNG. I had a dry spell of about 2 weeks, but it has picked up over the last couple days for me.
