  1. So cute to hear ******** talk without facts, evidence and conclusion. Hey, welcome to the club buddy
  2. No way. No chance. "I'm Jedii... for the Light, for justice, yadda yadda". Spare me heartbreaking crap.
  3. This is what we are talking about. 50% of 95% have turned graphic settings down and come here claiming that game is smooth.
  4. As I said once. He turned shadows and bloom off and bragging about smooth game. Can we see finally high-end rig having smooth play with everything turned on??? I'd like to see this.
  5. To be very honest with all of you, I'm more excited about Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet is well known company that has lots of experience with MMO and I've seen some things around Guild Wars 2 which makes it most anticipated game for me. And for many other people I personally know. FPS problems is something that will surely not happen to ArenaNet. My personal thoughts on SWTOR and GW2 were almost like totalhalibut's. I can definitely support and play both games at once. But it will depend only on how BW will polish this game in next months. Let's be honest with something else. SWTOR is not best or most innovative game in genre. There is so much things that Bioware simply put aside while creating this game. They concentrated on story. Cannot say this is bad. It's actually good and will definitely make SWTOR as first fully story driven MMO and leading game in this particular genre substream.
  6. Heck, Erickson and his team are very positive characters in making SWTOR a great game. As I said once, SWTOR is atm best MMO regarding content, story and design. And writers did excellent work here... *clap clap* I can't say the same for technical team. Getting free graphical engine into play was a huuuge mistake!
  7. Maybe it's problem in gifts. I mean necklaces and clothes. Try whiskey or rum!? Oh I forgot, he's a bug. Try PIPS or DTD...
  8. More innovative than other games in genre??? No mr. Ohlen, RIFT is definitely more innovative game than SWTOR. But hey, this is only my personal opinion.
  9. I didn't want to spend too much time on studying how client works and what happens with 2 different swtor client processes. Just run swtor on customized virtual machine and sniff what is getting in and out from that machine. If OP claim stands, this definitely increases needed bandwidth for this game. And it will increase data inflow for game, meaning that game will "download" more data than other games. What makes sense if you take in consideration how they complicate things about ISP and connection to server. As I said, it's not up to me, but if they aren't careful enough, they might loose more than win.
  10. No need, as TOG Master Certified IT Architect and someone with PhD in CS I can easily figure out things on my own. Me off, I don't want to spend anymore second of my time to prove anything about this. I'm going to play it as I can and leave for better MMO that is coming in near future. Kiss to all trolls out there.
  11. Absolutely. People turn off half of options in game, and come here to claim "it's working for me", "it's smooth". Heck! Yes, but I want to have smooth game with high textures on high-end computer, because this computer IS capable of doing it and there are other games that prove IT IS capable of doing it.
  12. Wise words. CAN YOU please explain then what is wrong with my computer!? It's i7, 8GB RAM, NVidia GTX560Ti. I have fresh installed Win 7 64 bit with updated every damn driver on computer. Can you explain then why I have problems with this game?
  13. And yes, I have tried SWTOR on 5 different computers. There are performance issues on each one of them. So, I think some people are simply blind. Or not recognizing stuttering or fps drops.
  14. This! They literally KILLED everything that is high. Out of 95% people who don't have graphic issues, 50% has turned shadows and bloom off. And yet, RIFT has better graphic, better engine and with old HD5670 I could play it with everything maxed. RIFT, having almost no lore, or is nowhere near SWTOR lore-wise, is so much better optimized and having so much better graphic. Then I'm asking myself a very good question: at least half of 95% playerbase has turned off shadows and bloom and yet they come here and claim that "everything runs smooth" and "there is nothing wrong with this game". It makes me LOL.
  15. ROFL to OP Best part is, I play male IA and find Kaliyo Djangiss for non-understandable, repelling, rude woman with creepy black sense for humor. I find Kaliyo almost like dirty, drunk, grunge girl, sitting in the dirt afront of the bar and drooling on almost empty bottle of beer crying for more. And then I came in, rescuing her sobering liver. Yes, you heard right, beer! As oppose, Vector agrees almost to everything I say. Am I gay? Is Vector gay? Or is Vector just big ant agreeing with everything you say?
  16. They had some weird system so they could do all sort of changes on live servers. They bought someone really smart. I NEVER SAW any maintenance windows or nothing alike. Just 10-15 mins of shard restarts... I really must admit to Trion their customer support and how they managed their community. Add all these WoWs, SWTORs, EQs and MMOs together, Trion still did it better...
  17. I don't get one little tiny detail. I saw these extreme maintenance frames with Blizzard. But while playing RIFT, I didn't even see anything like that. All I saw notices that shards are gonna be restarted and this will last 10-15 mins. How the heck Trion was doing it I still don't get....
  18. First time I checked was 11:34, so yes, they started at 11:00 supposedly.
  19. Signed. I mean, this is 11-15 CET. Half of the day.
  20. Yup, same thing happened to me. 14k credits gone due to my wish to preview item first. Silly me!
  21. I like SW:TOR. Great game. Too bad you did small mistake with graphical engine choice. Community is growing. People joining and giving you their personal and financial data. Respect that by protecting personal and sensitive data. Secure your systems, don't allow hackers to access your databases and steal personal data, especially those that could harm your customers. Engage external security experts if needed, to improve game and your internal systems security. Same messages were sent to Trion by community. But they successfully ignored that. And here you go.... Don't make same mistake. Thank you for reading
  22. Actually swtor != wow. Totally and very much. Absolutely not the same game. I like how Bioware learned on other MMOs mistakes.
  23. And this is exactly why I say that problem is in game or in video drivers. Who guarantees me, if I change my HD5670 for HD6990, and spit out another amount I gave for this game, that I'll be actually able to play it. I comes out to >100EUR just to play the game, without any monthly fees... Guys, let's stop here. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE that i7+Radeon HD 5670 with 1GB VRAM can't run this game without lagspikes, even on lowest settings, while another computer with 3 years old and mediocre Nvidia Geforce having 512MB VRAM can run it smoothly on full settings (everything maxed). Let's not make a hype over this and let's not misslead people. This thread doesn't carry any useful information except sorted listing of hardware. Nothing else. Something has to be fixed; or it is a game, or drivers. My 100 bucks bet is on game problems. And it seems to me that everyone having i5 or i7 processors are having some sort of graphical issues. I'm writing this, because I hate to see Bioware throwing a ball over the fence, saying we all need state of the art, not more than month old gfx cards, in order to play this game. This is simply not possible.
  24. This is the way how you'll make a loyal player base. Thank you Bioware!!
