dead... and i finally canceled this morning game is too structured, the players really cant influence the world... sick of stale MMO's.... but..... empty zones, empty servers, i just cant stand it anymore

GW2 is just going to be another MMO, just like this one. the devs and the money people just dont get it

its way to much to ask them to make it fun the first time. with new games coming out all the time, i dont have time to give some other game a second chance

depends on what kinda of cheap we are talking about. Someone complaining about a $15 per month sub as being expensive is totally on crack. mmos are some of the best bang for the entertainment buck around. I would personally pay way more for mmos if they could generate more content. complaining about playing 2-8 games with $15 subs, now that could get a little pricey. personally... despite making good coin, i refuse to sub to more than 1 game. this makes it harder for me to move to a new game, it also makes it harder for me to re-visit old games to see if i like improvements to the game.. this is the the great thing about up-coming free to play games, i will be able to sample them all and decide which one i want to devote my attention too every month. gamers have only so much time to really play 1 or 2 games.. the MMO marketplace has so much competition going on now that any barrier to subs is a 1 way ride to fail. EA will never lever learn this lesson until they are will beyond the point of no return. for the rest of the REAL game scene, it is a future, coming to a MMO near you soon. i think even blizzard will do it to wow once they have a model for titan in place

I get a max of 111-112 fps. that appears to be the most the engine will put out no matter how good your stuff is. While I actually do have a pretty high end system, I can still see severe slow down on illum. 20 fps during the burst phase of kill-trade was seen from time to time. typical fps is from 70-112 however, warzones too regardless, this game engine does under perform. i think we all know that --- 128 bit windows in the works, I highly doupt that. one day it WILL happen, but that is still a while away, this is not like the situation where 640k will be enough, 64 bit addressing will never be needed for a long time, or 16bit to 32 bit. 64 bit is alot of addressing space 8 bit addressing space = 256 bits 16 bit = 65536 bits 32 bit = 4294967296 bits 64 bit = 18446744073709551616 bits 128 bit= 340200000000000000000000000000000000000 bits ( appx )

what i think this is really about is the fact that the imps really liked being the only faction where everyone had BM gear. now we are leveling the play field a little and now they are getting beaten a little.

Bioware needs to give the factions a reason to hate each other, otherwise people are just gonna co-op it if it works better. At the very least, the imbalance needs to be fixed. the days of making an mmo with meaningless factions are over.

i think more people would leave if kill trading was not possible in the games current state. we would have nothing to do. republic would be dead. all we could do with join empire and play hut-ball, and compete with 50 guys over illum boxs. That is what will happen if Illum pushes the republic out completely.

as someone who organizes or participates in some of the KT parties on spaceslug, let me state clearly, yes it is lame. the thing you got to understand is as republic, if we don't do this we have a real hard time progressing. Sure we can form a group and hold the centre from time to time, but when "real" pvp breaks out, the imps will always outnumber us. if KT groups upset you on the empire side, give clan nemisis a call, they love busting up KT parties. personally i dont mind, they are trying to get something going. good on them. If they succeed on shutting KT down, it will suck for the repub side until the faction imbalance is corrected by bioware as for getting battle master. the imps still progress faster in KT parties, they still get battle master faster, they get more valor. simply because they have more people at the typical KT party. Hell, I just got battle master yesterday.

plasma does not have the best refresh rate, in fact, it now has the worst. Your plasma is 60Hz no matter what how many times they put 600 on the box. for PC gaming your ONLY options for true fast refresh rates are CRT and 120hz LCD "monitors" ((( also know as 3d computer monitors. also note, )))... also note, 3d TV's are no good, you will only get 60hz on these as well EDIT: sorry, some 120hz DLP projectors also support true high refresh rates EDIT 2: a little info on LCD monitors that support odd refresh rates like 72,85,90. These monitors likely drop frames and actually work at 60hz as well. You can detect this behavior by observing judder and tears while having your vsync on. ---- as for the OP, i would suggest simply putting some regular TV on while your away, that alone should give the pixels enough exercise back and forth.

people are sick of over structured MMOS. we need more sandbox's, more random gear, more systems of automation, more ways to play a character right, less structured content. people tend to not communicate very much when riding the hamster wheel

this is sort of where i am coming from. red tape, slow to react. all very predictable.
