what you're trying to do is avoid the most fun classes, because they are the most played. i finally said eff it and rolled a sith sorceror. i know 90% of the game are sorcerors/sages but whatever, its not like theres gonna be people at 50 to raid with anyway, the story leveling is all that matters.

Level 1-50 was worth the 60 bucks. That's it.

I think if people looked at this game as KOTOR 3 with an online component, they wouldnt get so upset. Yes it had great potential but that is blown to be honest, an MMO has until the end of the free month to succeed, after launch people see what it is and dont want to return. Sad but true, once a person is burnt its rare that they'll return. I just hope BioWare makes it more solo friendly, given the lack of people. Yes i already know its really solo friendly, but flashpoints with a full blown companion group and more solo content at 50 is needed. If they focus on that then this single player game with a multiplayer component should do well. -
I dont regret my purchase at all, i do regret that this game didnt take off like i had hoped. But for the amount of gameplay it provides, its a great purchase. And when you get tired of it, quit and resubscribe at a later date to take another class 1-50, it's like paying 15 dollars for another storyline instead of another 60! Decent buy imo

my server decreased from 280 people in the fleet at prime time to 130 people in the fleet. the population took a big hit, i dont foresee it decreasing much more unless bioware messes up. MMO's only have one chance to shine, and thats during the free month, sadly swtor failed, according to the population.

So if SWTOR is so bad, what else do i play?

Sounds boring, i need something i can invest years into, like ya know... an MMO. After starcraft 1, and warcraft 3, we'll never see another great competitive RTS -
Cause every other MMO out there is worse. And of course before anyone says WoW, im burnout and it will never be fun for me again.

Does Bioware not have a sense of the future?

And yet there is sound in space, and objects on fire. -
If they have to entice people to not unsubscribe..

Then they would have to release MUCH more content to make up for the time that it took you to run back...since people would go 1-50 much faster. Try skipping all quest dialogue, you'll find you level sooo much faster without the filler content they give you. -
That takes me from being a happy customer with SWTOR to being worried about how the games fairing... Only bioware has the numbers, and they must be falling if this is the tactic they're choosing to use with patch 1.1.

so theres no inspect option you can use and then boot them from the group when you see full greens?

Pretty much topic, at least they're telling us whats to come in 1.1, optimistically speaking.

Planning alignment around best companions - Commando

Any experienced Commando's have a favorite companion they use in pretty much every situation? Since theres no real perks to choosing one over the other, I'd say affection gain/loss is the most important, at least to me, it makes it a little easier and cheaper to raise their affection. -

Biased RNG - How to get the item you WANT to drop.

Read it and find out. -
Ill just use the starting zones as an example since its the most simple to explain. In the Jedi starting zone, you have consulars (light armor with willpower) and knights (medium armor with strength). I've leveled numerous knights and consulars to 10, for my own reasons, and it seems either character always gets a certain class of loot, its never a mix. Example: Consular - 10 green items dropped while leveling 1-10, all 10 had strength on them and were fitted for a Knight. Knight - 10 green items dropped while leveling 1-10, all 10 had willpower on them and were fitted for a Consular. For me, at least, its NEVER been 5 items with willpower drop, and 5 items with strength drop. Is anyone else noticing this? One consular I had was lucky enough to get all the green drops 1-10 as light armor will willpower. And sure enough when i sat foot in esseles, the items the bosses dropped was Consular gear. I proceeded on to level 20, and 30, and each flashpoint I ran I saw a high number of drops that I could use, higher than usual. This was different on my bounty hunter that i took to 30, the gear i saw primarily drop 1-10 was medium armor for Imperial Agents, and as I went to 20, and 30, the flashpoints rarely, IF EVER, dropped anything I needed. It seems this RNG system either has you pinged as "very lucky" or "very unlucky" with no where in between, as soon as you create your character. EDIT: im just theorycrafting here, just because its like this for me, doesnt mean its like this for all. Perhaps my characters are only being pinged as really lucky, or really unlucky, with no where in between. Whereas others are in between. Its just my observation that if you're pinged as very lucky (getting the greens catered to YOU in the starting zone is the quickest and easiest sign of this) that you will be lucky throughout the whole game.

The darkside/lightside vendors mean nothing to me. The main things are: 1) Color Crystals we can use 2) Companion's reactions to your choices because I would like to be able to have my main companion out for my dialogue instead of having to dismiss him to prevent losing affection. (for shadows i assume the healer will be it)

I keep hearing people saying to "corrupt" your companion if shes losing affection every time you make a darkside choice. But how exactly do you do that?
