  1. The one that made me facepalm the hardest was: Comeatme Umadbro <The Reddit Empire> On death wind corridor
  2. Thats not how Endure pain works. Any health you gained is lost I.E. Your max hp is 15k, it heals you for 5k and increases your max to 20k, then once its done it reduces your max to 15k and then removes 5k hp REGARDLESS of how much health you had. If someone did 15k damage to you during that fight, then your left with 1 hp at the end of endure pain. So using it at the start of a fight is actually the most useless place to use it.
  3. Yeah, I've been using Teamviewer to do crafting and chat as well... not worth it as much now with a nerfed slicing, but still cool. Edit: And by not currently enough to run esseles, you mean your getting like .2 fps Just trying to get a character off the fleet and onto your ship is difficult, I couldn't imagine actually trying to fight something
  4. Did you read that at all? I have no problem with gear grinds, and spending hours working on getting a single piece of gear. I DO have a problem when that gear grind is nowhere near equal and with the only difference being luck someone can get the same gear I have in less then 1/3rd the time. Edit: Actually, let me reword that to "Better" gear than I have in less then 1/3rd of the time*
  5. Except when random chance works in favor of someone... a friend of mine, literally just got legs and his offhand in 2/3 bags, as well as several pieces before that (5-6 in total), and he's at valor 21... while im at 29, have done the dailies 3x more, and the weeklies twice as much, and have one piece to show for it. I understand time sinks and not getting easy gear, thats fine with me, but make that **** even across the board. **** RNG.
  6. What was the healer doing during that time? They have their own CC breaks and CC's... not to mention, how is this scenario healer specific, are you saying you do this to all dps classes as well? Well, the whole idea of having a team for these warzones is having the support of your team, not one big 1v1 tournament. And i'd argue any tank is also pretty useless in a warzone without someone important to support, their damage is mediocre, and protecting random people just gets you killed.
  7. Heh, the trick is to either have two charges (rage spec) or try and get to them without charge... If you can save charge for right after their knockback, It helps a lot. Not always viable, but something to shoot for
  8. You have a bubble, knockbacks, and other cc's. For one person to dish out what? 14k+ damage in 4 GCDs that'd be 3.5k per gcd for 4 straight GCDs? Who's doing that kind of damage? Not an assassin, I'm a Jugg.
  9. You're TTK is a little exaggerated imo.
  10. Well, to be fair, if your going to support your team, then it wouldn't be unrealistic to expect them to support you back via a tank guarding and taunting off you. Edit: Not trying to argue towards class balance... just pointing stuff out*
  11. Another story about how quickly someone can kill healers. They also have knockbacks, stuns, etc. Have you met any healers who tried a fake cast to get you to waste your interrupt? Have you considered you just haven't met an excellent healer yet? I could give you the same story about how I've been unable to kill sorc's 1v1, then rattle off a list of abilities and claim I haven't been able to dent their health. etc. There's no need for a detaunt, even in pugs, why baby inexperianced players, instead of teach tanks how to contribute in pvp. Edit: I also normally don't say stuff like this, but unlike a lot of people, you actually need to lay off the enter key a bit
  12. I dunno, I've met quite a few who could... granted, you could argue that the dps were bad, but then theres always the reverse that the healer who can't survive is also bad? Kind of hard to really come up with evidence when everything is pretty much anecdotal at this point.
  13. Damn, that is indeed a lot of objective points, what the hell am I doing wrong (a.k.a What are you doing right to get that many). Edit: Also, I assume that 12 includes quite a few medals from healing, bleh, sucks to not be biochem?
  14. But... but... I need to be within 10m of a dying enemy to kill steal with the swtor version of Execute
  15. You specialize in saving OTHER people, I specialize in saving you... or at least that how I see it. So, imo, your list should look more like:
  16. Don't really care whether it's a negative or a positive sign... but as a Sith Jugg who played wow a year or two ago, I did find the comparison fairly hilarious, thank you for bringing it to my attention OP. Edit: Hmm, the creater of that pic missed: Vicious Throw ~= Execute Edit 2: or the comparison between soresu form (and forms in genreal) and Defensive stance (and stances in general).
  17. Dps and tanks have to rely on healers to keep them alive as well... Team success is based around working as a team... Edit: God damn, my brains all over the place, quoted when I meant to edit my last post -_-
  18. I agree with the last couple posters... your detaunt comes in the form of a tank friend/group member with guard and taunt. Don't take away my only job in the game
  19. I'd love to know how you manage that (entirely not sarcastic). 9 to 11 medals seems incredibly high, and even when I give up and just fight in the middle with my sorc friend, can barely manage 7-8. Forget being #1 in damage, though protection is easy.
  20. That also seems plausible... remove medals and the only thing you have to shoot for is a win. Though, having a computer pat me on the head and tell me I did a good job with 8 medals does feel pretty good...
  21. They will, and I can almost guarantee people will wait in 40 minutes queues for alderaan/voidstar then complain about the queue.
  22. Maybe not straight up rewarding the person carrying the ball across the line, but I do feel there needs to be a bit more of an incentive/reward for actually playing the game over fighting in the middle. Maybe some kind of assist points for healing a carrier, guarding a carrier, taunting off a carrier, killing an enemy attacking the carrier or passing the ball ONLY on a scoring play? Not a perfect solution, and I'm sure you all will pick it apart, but yeah, I'm not a fan of me and a friend scoring 2-3 times each and ending with 0 medals
  23. I play empire and still find huttball fun. It helps to queue up with a friend or two so you can actually get some passing and strategy going. All the people talking about the good old days and world pvp, how would you pull it off in this game? The factions are imbalanced enough that without some sort of buff, the republic would be heavily outgunned. You then have to make world pvp worth it, and have something to get people out there. I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see some world pvp, but almost everytime i've seen it in the past 7-8 years, its degrades into a gankfest pretty quickly no matter what game your playing.
