  1. ROFL. Thanks, I needed to hear that. I'm guilty of it myself sometimes. But Killance (OP), let's take a look at the list of available raids. There are five raids centering around the Dread Masters. FIVE. Explosive Conflict, Terror From Beyond, Scum & Villainy, Dread Fortress and Dread Palace. That's a lot of Operations based around one small little story arc. In fact, they built an entire new planet with a mini story arc and daily quest hub to prepare us for the last two Ops in that series. As much as I like the S&V Op, There's only so many times I want to squash the Dread Masters. I'd really love to squash some more Exarchs who weren't hanging around by their lonesomes in the Star Fortresses. I'd really like to squash some of the strongest droid/skytrooper prototypes in Arcann's arsenal. And how about some Eternal Empire stooges who were powerful enough that only Arcann and Vaylin themselves could make those said stooges are stronger? Some of Arcann's most feared lieutenants? Even a couple of Flashpoints around tha theme would have helped. Original SWTOR got KP and EV. KP could have been a good setup for the RotHC story arc. Maybe it even was and I never knew it. SOR got Ravagers and ToS. The Dread Masters story arc got five, and that arc wasn't even a full expansion. KOTFE is getting zero? It will take til the next expansion to get one new Ops? That's a long time to be locked to no further growth than 216's or maybe some 220's. People need to be able to continue growing their toons or they're gonna get bored with them. Ask anyone who played The Sims 2. That game had a feature where their characters could achieve enough ambitions that their personal happiness would never go low enough that another crisis would happen. People usually rolled new Sims at that point. MMO's are more transient than ever. They're a dime a dozen and people drift from game to game wherever the grass starts to look green. Bioware can't afford not to give people what they want. If they want new Ops, Bioware had better GIVE them new Ops. Look how fast Blizzard ate crow when it became clear that more than half their entire player base would leave the game unless they got flying in Draenor, no ifs ands or buts--- either they GOT it or they quit the game. One little feature. Blizzard ate their own words so fast, a few of them probably got indigestion. MMO's may be just a game, but people make friendships in them. Some friendships last beyond the games into RL. You know how many people got married to someone they met in a game? Try telling THEM that it's JUST a game. People who pay subscription fees have feelings. They have ambitions. They have wants. Some of those wants may be childish, but nobody is unjustified in refusing to pay for something that doesn't feel like their money's worth. And an expansion with no new Ops feels like exactly that to a lot of people. Can you blame them for being PO'ed?
  2. I don't disagree with you and I feel some empathy. But while I can't speak for anyone else here, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some people out there who share the same viewpoint. If I hated these items simply because I didn't want more fluff, I'd keep it to myself. If I hated these items simply because I thought Bioware had their priorities wrong, I'd keep it to myself. Unfortunately, to me, these "tunings" were just the straw that broke the camel's back. I've had a lot of slowly bubbling displeasure lurking beneath the surface and kept tightly in check because I know what kind of outbursts I'm capable of, as a psychiatric outpatient, when I lose my temper, and I understand there is such a thing as "going too far." But EA just kept pushing those buttons until I GYLF'ed. (GYLF = Give Your Last ... you can figure out the rest, right?) Now, Bioware can cry all the righteous wrath they want and impose whatever "punishment" they see fit-- I see it as their loss, not mine. Your post did make me feel some contrition and I know I didn't come across as very mature or any more rational than I accuse the EA corporate bigwigs of being. But again... this was the culmination of many things. I held my temper until I GYLF'ed. And I doubt I'm the only one, in a community this size, who feels or felt that way.
  3. If people are excited for this, that's their thing. If EA wants MY support, try fixing some things in the game that have been broken since LAUNCH four and a half entire years ago. Little things do matter. These cosmetic Weapon Tunings being introduced, with their component only available in Cartel Packs, make me feel very strongly that Bioware and/or EA's feelings are as follows: "If you have any dignity whatsoever, you will stop trifling us over these old 'bugs' and just buy more CARTEL PACKS so we can all stroke our (rhymes with sticks) more briskly!" That hurts, for me to think that, you know? I don't feel good having such bitterness toward the people who work at Bioware. I've toned this post down severely from its original vitriol, but I bet a number of people still saw that. And if it gets traced back to my friends in game, I'm gonna feel even worse. My loyalty is to my friends who continue playing this game. They play, I play. They raid? I'll stay subbed so I can raid with them. And I'll confess I'm a sucker for a good story. But fixing broken parts of the game really means a lot more to a lot of people than more pieces of Cartel-Pack-bought fluff. Especially when some of these "little thing" bugs directly affect that story (still not amused by 'naked Jorgan.' That Cathar was my Commando's husband and he showed up to greet me wearing nothing but underpants? Do that in our bedroom, not on a covert strike op.).
  4. The Harbinger is a West Coast server. I have Legendary status on an East Coast server, and I have friends there that I game with. I have no plans to leave them; let me start out by affirming that. The big thing is, they're all East Coast, Eastern Canada, and a few European players. By 11 PM Eastern Time (8 PM Pacific) nearly all of them log out for the night. I have severe sleep apnea which has disrupted any normal sleep patterns. Without going into details about it, I'm almost always up, several hours later than any of my friends on my East Coast server. And now, the point: How many people on The Harbinger are WEST COAST players? How many are up until around 11 pm or 12 midnight, PACIFIC time, rather than Eastern Time? If there's a decent size guild with a good number of people to interact and socialize with between 8:30 or so, and 11:30 or so, Pacific Time, I might have some interest in applying. The catch: I'd be starting a whole new legacy, all brand new level 1 characters, from total scratch; not a stitch of help from my East Coast server and my legacy there. Because of this, if I join some people here on The Harbinger, I'd have a different play style on this server. -For starters, I would not chase achievements. Many of them require a lot of hard work. I can do that on my East Coast server. I wouldn't chase mounts, pets, anything that I might chase on my East Coast server. -I probably wouldn't even chase Legendary status here. I'm more comfortable with the play styles of tech classes, and so in all likelihood I'd have four toons: Trooper, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent. I might even skip the smuggler, depending on how I feel. The one force class I'd probably build is a Jedi Guardian, because I only went through the Jedi Knight story once on my home server. -I do still play both factions, so one guild that has branches for both factions would probably work better than two guilds that stick to one faction or another. -I'd do some crafting, but not a lot. One or two of my toons would probably just Slice and gather. So, am I just asking for a place where I can get the +10% xp bonus? I'm a little smarter than that I will have to level up again from scratch. But the nicest part about leveling now, especially as a subscriber, is I can reach 65 without touching Makeb or even SoR. I might not even have to touch KOTFE, although I'll probably bring one or two classes through to run a couple of SF's if you'd like. Once I have enough level and gear, I'm happy to help you with some FP's, a World Boss or two, and even a story mode Operation, depending on the night and what the Op would be. I'd help a little with conquest as well, although your guild does NOT have to be a regular top-ten placer as long as there are people for me to interact with. I'd probably avoid Warzones and open world PVP on The Harbinger, but I have some interest in learning Galactic Starfighter, if I attract the attention of a guild that participates. You're welcome to send me a private message here on the forums, if you're part of an active Harbinger guild that has a nice amount of people on during West Coast's "prime time" of 8'ish to 11'ish PM Pacific Time. By nice amount of people, I'm hoping for ten or a little more. My primary goal in doing any outreach here on The Harbinger is that I'm looking for some company after all my friends on my East Coast server go to bed. From what I understand, The Harbinger is the largest West Coast server population and possibly even the largest of all the North American servers; hence why I selected it. Please don't try to mislead me into thinking a lof people here on The Harbinger are up at the hours I'm looking for, if they're really not, just to try and recruit for your guild. I have no plans to LEAVE my home server, and if that makes me come across as too selfish, I'll thank you for your time and be on my way. I'll be more than happy to contribute here on The Harbinger; I'm just not quitting the legacy I built on my home server. Prime Time over there is usually dinner time on the West Coast, anyway Let me know if interested.
  5. I prefer the traditional red, green, and blue. I'll sometimes use "subscriber reward" black/purple in off hand items like generators, vibroknives, focii, etc. I have a couple of farmhand blues and sea greens because they can't be vendored and they're so ubiquitous you can't give them away. But my preference is for the traditional red, blue and green crystals, by far. No tutti-frutti lightsabers for me, thank you anyway.
  6. I like the Star Fortresses, but you can "overdose" on them, so to speak. I'm only taking a maximum of four toons through them, including the story arc. No need to do them over and over and over. Like many things in SWTOR, you will "outgrow" them and then it's time to move on.
  7. I just checked my CC ledger and I got mine a few hours ago. It might be a little late, but I haven't missed a month yet.
  8. Does everyone have to have such contempt for people who don't know? Plegious, there are no customizations for Lana, Koth, or Senya, nor for any of the recruits gained through Star Fortresses. Customizations are only available for pre-KOTFE companions. You can do the quest "A Kindly Old Monster" to recruit Lokin into your Alliance and use any Imperial character to find customizations for him on whichever planets had them for the pre-KOTFE version of Lokin (most likely Imperial Taris or Belsavis).
  9. Never fails. Never ever ever EVER fails. I stop reading the instant I see that. I can't sympathize with "Fail *EVERYONE* -- except me." I'm sorry but I can't. I was subject to it for too many years in too many other games, and too often, even here as well. Is the FP too difficult in HM? Maybe it is. If enough people on this thread think so, as well, then I'll even say, "more power to you" in your attempt to get someone in the dev department to listen. But as soon as I hear, "Why am I the *ONLY* one on the entire PLANET who doesn't (insert various profanities here)?!!?!" that's where I withdraw support. Maybe the FP is too hard, but nobody who immediately asserts themselves as "the ONLY one who ever does anything right," is going to win me over. I'm not sorry if that pisses you off. If the lives of everyone I ever loved, depended on my believing such boasting, I'd be all alone in this world.
  10. I have two suggesting regarding starting out the KOTFE storyline with, "The Hunt." First, when you begin the story arc, it tells you that the story takes place after SoR and the "Rise of the Emperor" Ziost arc. Any quests on Rishi, Yavin 4, or Ziost are removed from your quest log, as your character is presumed to have finished all these, and if you travel to Yavin or Ziost afterward, you're in "daily/weekly quest" mode. Why is MAKEB / ROTHC exempt from this? Several of my characters that finished SOR (and sometimes Ziost) regularly, and then went into KOTFE, still have Makeb quests, particularly the main story arc. I stopped advancing the story arc on many of my toons after they hit 55 because I got burned out on it. I never got around to finishing on those toons, and the ROTHC/Makeb story arc was never removed from my quest log as "completed." The story arc is absolutely blocked from being abandoned and even though it can be untracked, it just sits there and obstructs me from taking too many heroics (which can be a bit of a frustration when my guild does Conquest on a planet like Nar Shaddaa, which has a whopping eight Heroics that can be milked on multiple toons). I'd really rather not be absolutely forced to go back to Makeb and finish the entire story arc to be rid of it. You spared us from doing this on every toon for Rishi, Yavin 4 and Ziost... why not Makeb as well? The Second suggestions applies to any character that is "Created at 60" and begins in the KOTFE story arc. This character is "presumed" to have finished the class story, ROTHC, SOR, and Ziost. It would be nice if that character were allowed access to any class-specific titles that would be acquired if we went through the whole thing manually; e.g. Lieutenant, Major and Chief Military Advisor for the Trooper; Cipher Agent, Master Conspirator and Sith Intelligence Commander for Imperial Agent. I used my freebie on a Jedi Guardian and she is PERMANENTLY and ABSOLUTELY blocked from ever getting the titles of Padawan, Knight of the Republic, Hero of Tython, Master, or Jedi Battlemaster.
  11. I've become sort of picky in which heroics I do regularly, rarely and only if absolutely necessary, because of this. That being said, it *is* possible to reduce the exasperation, although often times it does require using a character with proper CC (commando/merc or shadow/assassin for one). A strong tank companion with high influence can take a severe pounding without losing a lot of health, and if the stun-happy mob comes running at me, again, depending on the toon I bring, I have countermeasures (commando/merc can knock back AND jet-boost backward, I've killed golds that absolutely SPAM-deluge stun after stun after stun without getting stunned, once, by careful use of these abilities. I do recognize that this depends on using the right class with the right abilities, and if you're fond of using another class without them, you'd need to improvise. When it comes down to it, though, I am rather finicky about what heroics to farm regularly, which to visit rarely, and which to avoid if at all possible. Some heroics simply don't have so many stun-and-knockback happy mobs and can be finished pretty quickly.
  12. When you use the terminal to summon back a companion, it clearly says that your story will not be affected. Your companion will become available for questing and doing heroics and stuff, and you'll even see the companion in your ship again, but the game tells you that this is not "canon." If you run into any issues then it should be considered a bug. I'll admit I didn't use the terminal for Kaliyo nor Blizz, specifically. But the game says your story does not change. If you run into any gameplay issues then that should be considered a bug. I've had no gameplay issues yet with the few companions I did recall back via the terminal, such as Tanno Vik on my trooper (because I still needed the 1000 kills with him, achievement).
  13. I actually got what was clearly a personal reply (gasp!!!) from in-game ticket customer service. But of course it was no help. "I'm not authorized to solve this problem and I have no idea who is, or if anyone at all, is, or anything else for that matter, but PLEASE fill out this Customer Satisfaction survey and tell us how GREAT a job we're all doing so we can all stroke our (CENSORED) more briskly!!" And the agent who sent me the survey was a woman. ROFLMAO. I think you can all guess just what I told them, and what they can do, and do with themselves. Or maybe the world will be a saner place if you don't. Still checking my inbox and spam folder each day, just in case, but I think I know what Bioware's "final answer" is. I'll stay subscribed, for now, but from now on the phrase "Cartel Packs" is a zillion times more vulgar and offensive than the F-word or the S-word or any other word or phrase that this forum's "language filter" changes into something more "family friendly" (pulling down tongue with finger).
  14. I continue to check my inbox and spam folder each day and still nothing. I do continue to get my monthly notifications of my 500 subscriber's stipend of CC's.
  15. Never got my CC's, and I hear that trying to contact Bioware results in them batting you back and forth across the ping-pong table ad nauseum; in game ticket absolutely refusing to listen to anything other than "you have to call customer service," who in turn absolutely demands you open an in-game ticket. The only possible way I can say a single word on this matter is refusing to buy or have anything to do with new Cartel Packs, since it's clear how inconceivably and colossally insulted Bioware gets at having to pay attention to a SINGLE thing in this entire game other than how many Cartel Packs they sell. As long as I don't get my coins, Bioware can put their "new Cartel Packs" in their horn and blow them out their tuchus.
  16. It depends on what you want to do with crew skills. Do you want to make your own gear? Synthweaving makes Force-User gear (Yes, all gear now has mastery but Synthweaving gear still has Force Power while Armormech gear still has Tech Power). Want to make your own lightsaber hilts and crystals? You can do that with Artifice. Not hitting hard enough, and/or your companion doesn't heal you fast enough? Biochem will make you some reliable stims and medpacks. Just want some extra cash? Slicing. Everyone needs sliced tech parts, and harvesting nodes is free extra cash.
  17. "Koth, please go on this archaeology mission." "Like I don't have better things to do." "Koth, please go on this underworld trading mission." "Like I don't have better things to do." "Koth, please make these assembly components for a piece of gear." "Like I don't have better things to do." "Koth, please use these cell graft samples to make more stimpacks." "Like I don't have better things to do." NO, Koth, you DON'T have better things to do. You stand around half the day like a DOOFUS in front of that planetary monitor on Odessen, watching pretty lights blip back and forth, is what you do. You spend all night in the Cantina getting drunk on only The-Force-only-knows-what and then puking in Dr. Oggurobb's oatmeal, is what you DO. No, Koth, you don't have better things to do, so SHUT your goddamned FACE and get to work!! Maybe I SHOULD have blown up [REDACTED], after all... *grumbles* EDIT: You gotta be kidding me, this forum auto-censors the word between "your" and "FACE" ?? Even rated PG uses THAT word...
  18. Have not received the ad email about Disavowed, nor a code. I check my inbox and spam folder twice a day.
  19. Then kindly explain why my monthly "We have given you your monthly 500CC grant" emails arrive every month like clockwork, if what you say were remotely near to fact.
  20. I check my email address, both inbox and spam folder, twice a day and have not received anything other than the monthly auto-notification about my monthly subscriber's CC grant. I have not received my email advertisement and code, and I've been opted in to everything since February 13th, one day before the deadline. My email provider is AOL. If Bioware tells me, "Well they must have pre-blocked soz u don't get sry" then they'd better be prepared to eat and sleep in their offices because I'm not taking "no" for an answer after doing exactly what they wanted me to do in order to get "yes."
  21. Ithorians, that's it. Thanks. Chozen Doodah. Hahahaha. I like that. Funny how I remember the name, Chozen Rabaat, but not the species. My memory is rather selective like that. :/
  22. I worked in a movie theater for five years. You should see some of the things that people demanded free movies and snacks over. Not only demanded, but threatened to sue unless they got it. Many many times, they didn't get it, but that didn't stop them from screaming and carrying on and making infants of themselves. The most frivolous, petty things. Of course, that's another discussion altogether, but the basic concept can be the same. Customers can be very bad at receiving customer service. The slightest inconvenience and the the first, second, third and so forth thing brought up is how much money they spent and how much compensation they're "entitled" to. Bioware can cancel the user agreement and stop taking their money at any time. The movie theater could have, too, if they wanted.
  23. (Content of this post removed. Vaxael typed faster than I did, and said it better than I did.)
  24. This is the primary issue for a few other races, including Wookies and Rodians, and the "hammerhead" species (sorry, I don't remember off the top of my head, what they're called). If you listen carefully to dialogue from Wookiee and Trandoshan NPC's such as Bowdaar, Jakarro and Qyzen Fess, there are a small, set number of sound effects for their speech that are repeated as often as necessary. It's really hard to create a whole language based on those sound effects. Voice actors would then have to record these for every line these characters would say, from the beginning of the class story. Well, I dunno how it would be with Trandoshans, but remember that one very famous lady of Star Wars lore once said-- "I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee." I don't know if she ever did or not, haha.
  25. I'm willing to bet a few dozen people cancelled their subscriptions for ABSOLUTELY no other reason than, they were unable to dress Lana and Senya in slave/dancer outfits. Which Bioware (not to mention a very large number of players, including, I'll bet, nearly all women players) consider an extremely disrespectful and arrogant thing to do with central NPC's of the expansion. Even more so with Lana than Senya, because Lana has practically been *THE* central NPC of the game going all the way back to the Forged Alliances patch in RotHC. If it were my decision, those two outfits never would have existed in the game, but that's another argument altogether.
