  1. It is practically impossible to use underworld trading! I currently have only companion gift missions available at level 4. Folks, it is a matter of 30 Minutes of coding tops to fix the selection algorithm. This is driving m,e nuts! I am forced to do tons of useless missions just to get the one I need! The Fix had already been promised for 1.1 according to some forum posts, but it never materialized. Please make sure there are missions of every type available on the tab at all times! And maybe bump the number of missions in the tab to 7 or 8 for Underworld Trading and Treasure Hunting!
  2. same here. Yes, we need more character slots. I would PAY for it - provided I could fill them via char transfer (possibly paid, too). I have about 20 Chars distributed over 4 servers. I really would like to have them on my "Main" server, where my guild is. Bioware! There's money to be made here!
  3. Right now, I feel a little ... understaffed, for lack of a better word. I just hit level 25 with that agent, and, well, she just has Kaliyo as companion. I'm in the middle of Nar Shaddaaa, and by that point most of my other chars either had a second companion or were working toward him. Trooper is even getting nr 3 after Nar Shaddaa. Not having a second companion means I only can do half of the crafting+missions others can do at that level while questing; and on 2/3 of others when not offline. If I look on the web, I found I will have to wait through Nar Shaddaaa, all of Tatooine, and most of Alderaan until I get companion Nr 2. Did I miss something? How do you deal with that? Just not much crafting?
  4. First, Support for the request. The hoods has been annoying me from day one on. Second, I find this patronizing wait-forever-and-be-silent fanboi attitude of yours problematic. That issue should have been on solved 1.0 and it isn't there 2 game updates later. These hoods should not even EXIST! We are not Sheep. I pay subscription money NOW, and this one of the numerous and completely unnecessary small issues that make me a less than happy customer.
  5. No, it doesn't. Its just noise. It compensates nothing. That combo, bug or not, was the closest thing to real sniping we had. Heck, a real sniper should be able to one-shot down just about any target, given the right circumstances and material. Think AWP in Counter Strike. We don't get that - Bioware is stuck with the medieval combat sword simulation system that underlies traditional RPGs. But we could at least one-shot kill a regular target with that, and even nicer, it would actually would blow up. It was fun. And so Bioware took it away. I don't care much for "Mirroring" classes anyway, and I don't f* care for PvP at all. 90% of the players never enter a PvP Battelfield, so PvP balance really should be a secondary concern. Or tertiary. Or quarternary, heck, somewhere behind plant color aesthetics or so. Bioware - stop ruining the fun in this game! Bioware - stop sacrificing the vast majority of non-PvPing players on the altar of PvP!
  6. It was my understanding that red items were Bioware's approach to appearance customization. Unfortunately, actual availability of red items is extremely limited. Do you plan to substantially improve the availability and variety of red chest and leg pieces in commendation or credit vendor shops, or maybe even in new specialized shops?
  7. This may seem like a stupid question... but: Is the Republic Taris the same world as the Imperial Taris? I mean, not the planet, lore wise, I mean the game world. Yes, the maps look similar (I only had a glimpse at Imperial Taris since my Imp Character is only level 18), but - from, lighting to Geography there seem to be distinct differences. So - do Jedi and Sith play in the same world here - or not?
  8. Grr. Yes. And in The Works. That is Coruscant. Tier one. I know that. I am looking for Tier 2 and higher. Taris. Maybe NarShaddaa.
  9. Searching around I read in a few places that you should be easily able to gather 1 node per minute. Regardless of level. Is that nonsense?
  10. Hello, can anybody point me to locations where archeology nodes exist as abundant as the ruined Jedi Temple on Coruscant, for Tier 2 and following materials? I .e. a good place for farming artifacts and crystals at Tier2 ff? I have, for instance, trouble finding such at Taris.
  11. The weren't effected by my force wave. Well, Nar Shaddaa is listed as 20-24, and I'm 24 - so that should be right. But thanks for the suggestion. Yep. Thats my strategy, too. Usually. So, to repeat my question - is there any sage equivalent to the soldier's Mortar Strike (which is ideal for that purpose)?
  12. Depends. When opening with force lift (as suggested), not. Else, yes. Not that it helps anyway. When Silver guy is active, he stuns him and proceeds to me. I now managed to kill one of every 2 groups. Disabled 2 of Qyzen's powers so that he doesn't break the force lift, lifted the silver guy, and cocentrated on the others (even three). Silver guy breaks free from force lift anyway shortly, but its enough to barely survive ... unless something else comes along. In that area there are some silver robots patrolling, and if one of them joins in, I'm still toast. I really don't get it. Is there nothing I can do to prevent Qyzen fom getting stunned and ignored? Or the wipe the lowlies from the group with the initial attack? I usually expect to be able to kill groups up to one silver+one gold ... but this one is deadly.
  13. How? Qyzen never gets there, they keep their distance, and I am fully occupied with the futile attempt to survive silver guy's attacks. If I had an one-shot aoe kill power for the small guys like soldiers have, I could start with that, but there is no such thing. Telekinetic Wave only ills them down to 40%. I just died another two times trying to implement your suggestion. ***...
  14. this is driving me crazy: Playing a sage, average gear, vanilla telekinesis skills at level 24. I'm in Nar Shaddaa. in the red light distric. There are these groups of "Bleeder Parts Pusher": one silver, two normals. And they kill me every time. They serial-stun and then ignore Qyzen, advance to me and mow me down with vibroswords. I tried every tactic I know. Sometimes I can delay it to the point where the silver guy is dead, but the other two then get me easily. Sometimes Qyzen wakes up and joins the fray, only to get stunned again within a second. How am I supposed to fight that? I feel totally helpless w/o a tank, and I have no idea what to do to prevent that stunning. Restoration doesn't work. Force Armor doesn't stop the effect. Force wave pushes the guy back, but since he is sliver-star he is not knocked down and just comes back right away. Force stun works, but only once - I die before it comes online again, and the guy comes out of it within seconds. And, FWIW, I have no idea how to spike damage. I never ever managed to empty my mana pool since becoming sage. I probably could wipe those suckers out if Bioware had given me a spell to burn away my pool at a decent damage/mana ratio within a few seconds - but no such luck. The heroic cooldown is no solution either, since there are many such groups. This is not a boss, just a normal enemy mob. Even if it helped, the next mob would kill me, again. Any Ideas? How do you kill these mobs?
  15. Hi, consider me a noob with this. Level 10 Jedi Sentinel. How would you get started with PvP? Does it make any sense to "casually" PvP? I come from an MMO where this was the standard mode of operations of players of one faction (that is, until the publisher ran PvP into the ground completely and probably killed it for good)).
  16. Subject say it all. Is there anyway to make/get nonstandard low level crystals? I know there is a level 50 orange recipe. I want to actually use differently colored weapons when playing the game, not after having played it. Can you reverse engineer dropped orange crystals to learn recipes? Even if we ignore the whole magenta crystal mess - are there other colors at low levels? I heard mentions of cyan, gold etc...
  17. There is a special place in hell reserved for those fanboys who post here "I have no problem, therefore everybody who has trouble must have bad hardware". It is enraging, frustrating, and outright malicious. I have no understanding whatsoever why these fanboys would actively try to sabotage the enjoyment of others (namely, having their troubles heard, and thus, RESOLVED by Bioware). People who behave this way deserve nothing but utter contempt. As for the issue, I think talking about frame rates alone is pointless. The game has technical problems that do not manifest in frame rates. I have a decent machine (i7, radeon 4800, 6gig, WinXP), and usually the game runs nicely. But there are certain places where - completely unexplainedly - the game starts to get jumpy. Jedi Temple in Tython is a mild example - every second my char makes small jump, as if the game doesnt get the movement right and keeps correcting the character position periodically. Worst case I had was a freight port on Kal Drooma - a agent phase, to be precise. Suddenly I had less than 1 frame per second. NPCs started to appear and disappear, reappear somewhere else - and all during fight. Very Very bad. Another thing is that animated sequences - both taxi rides and flight sequences - have majhor jumps. During taxi rides the game display hangs 1-2 times per second, and then jumps to the next position. My suspicion is that Bioware has shaders that don't work very well with ATI cards. Or that there is some other issue with ATI. They need to look into that. Hard.
  18. For now, you are right. But frankly, this "Europeans Tax" (we pay more and get treated worse) that many US companies heap on us will not be tolerated for all eternity. Bioware is, notabene, not the worst offender. Try buying games on Steam, for instance - 1€ = 1US$ there. Hardware, software, whatever crap you mention, it's mostly the same. Most gear costs less in US$ in the US than in €in Europe, even though it should be the other way round. Once US companies are involved, Europeans get ripped off. The old justification for that used to be that the small segmented markets in the EU produce higher prices. But now we have had a large common market for several decades, and we still get bilked at every corner. Another argument is that localization for many languages costs more money. Fair enough - but then give us an English only option at US price levels (I polay the original anyway). And that doesn't address the issue at hand (less game time for us) anyway. So, yes, for now, with a monopoly product like SWTOR we have no option but to accept being second class citizens of this community. But in the long run - the European way is regulating consumer protection. I sit back patiently and wait until some European Commissioner shoves some 300 Million penalty down Bioware's throat for cheap political points at home. Just wait and see.
