  1. An enraged player base is how every MMORPG starts. It's tradition. ******** on that tradition is like ******** on Christmas. That said, this game is AWESOME, FUN, IMMERSIVE! Most MMOs get one or two out of the 3, but this game has all of those qualities. Bioware is doing early access in a very responsible and well prepared way. Just because people are impatient and erroneously self entitled, does not mean that this pre-launch will go down in history as crap. The people who get paid to review games will write about how smooth and error free early access is and everyone will swoon over the sagacity of Bioware. "Little to no server ques? Well surely there were bugs galore or people getting dropped from the server all the time!" "Nope" "Really?" "Yep" "Well...dayum..." *Skeptic orders a copy of SWTOR on the spot*
  2. Nowhere; men don't complain. I doubt you're a girl as they are a myth.
  3. This community is really horrible, there's no way anyone could think otherwise. Beta forums, testers and non-tester, were full of trolls and people throwing their nerd rage at every ******** conflagration that erupted. That is to say: Just about every damn post in every damn thread is molten nerd rage being tended by our troll overseers as a shepard tends his flock. Some of the threads, a rare few, are awesome and deserve to be preserved. The rest could be deleted by the mods as soon as they pop up and the community would be a thousand times better off. It's like letting a bunch of tumors chill on your patients body until they become malignant. It's not a good thing. Here's hoping I don't have to turn off general chat in game like I have every other MMO...except RIFT at level 50. That was an entertaining chat where everyone knew each other and drama was kept to a minimum. Good RP-PvP servers, where chat is 10% less ********....just enough, sometimes, to make it worth participating in.
  4. Dark Lager with chocolate overtones = omg yummy.
  5. Considering the massive bulk of this game's population is going to being playing before the 20th, we can safely interpose release and launch for early access. That said: People will find something to complain about in the most perfect of circumstances. The game just released, flawlessly? The air quality in New York is ****! People like to ***** in order to garner sympathy and attention. I think people just like feeling like crap and perpetuate doing so habitually, like a drug addict.
  6. Or they could let sleeping dogs lie and no one will remember / care.
  7. Yes, this was a necessary thread. QQing over breaking a bone is unmanly, I can't imagine how so many guys on these forums can think it's ok to do it over a video game.
  8. "Originally Posted by Boomsyn ONE MORE TO GO? Bioware, please call Trion for tips on how to do an early release properly. What a complete failure." Saw that quoted by someone and didn't feel like searching the pages to do the same properly. Rift had a good early release? LMAO! They're early access was likely the inspiration for Bioware letting people in a group at a time. Trion opened the flood gates and had 5+ hour server ques, lag from hell and a bunch of people getting booted from servers left right and center. It was unplayable until they scrambled up some emergency servers. They were utterly unprepared for the tumult that wrecked their previous expectations. RIFT's early access was painful and I was one of the lucky ones who waited for a new server rather than brave the 5-6k+ sever lines. SWTOR is a hundred times better than RIFT, and that's my opinion as a fan of RIFT, and the way they're handling early access is phenomenal and extremely responsible. It's also a hell of a lot more effort and preparation than Trion put in. Here's hoping the people in game don't have reason to complain as much as some of the people on these forums.
