  1. I think you are right OP. I am a mmo player and I can tell you, this game is the first mmo I feel like I finished it. Due to low difficulty of everything there is no need to actually play more. I mean whats the point of doing HMs when you finish them easily the first time you try without any gear? Why get gear at all? Same for pvp, I can kill people/top damage meters easily since I hit 50, why should I get Battlemaster? Crafting- pfft. Exploration - none. Game over.
  2. This is pretty much how i feel. Leveling was awesome, flashpoints with guildies too. At 50 i pvped a bit to get full champion gear. I am quite good player and thats pretty much enough to rule in pvp in this game (sadly). I run two raids, I am pretty much full pve epic now too. And you dont need the gear for anything, nothing challenging in this game. I tried to roll alt, its fun with different story but then you think - what you will do with him at 50? Run two raids and done? I think i will see how it goes in next 20 days or so. My guild is planning some payback on Ilum with another guild so maybe that will bring some fun. Sadly Ilum is nearly unplayable with 5 fps on 4 core 560ti gtx and 8GB DDR3. Yeah thats the problem with TOR. When you find something you can do/is fun, you will run into bugs or bad performance or bad design. What a shame.
  3. For me this is game breaking issue and it pretty much killed the game for me. There is really "nothing" for me to do at 50. I pvped a bit, got to like 52 valor and I am full champion with 3 nearly complete sets. I can own people easily now with my Shadow, why would I grind for Battlemaster? No need.... I pved a bit, got myself some pve gear. In combination with my pvp gear I can do a lot of damage and finish any hardmode/operation. Why would I do more? Rolling alt? Hmm, leveling and story is fun, but then I think about - "What I will do when the alt hits 50?" "Run two raids?" This is the first mmo when I feel like I "finished" the game. Yes I could get slightly better gear with mod min/maxing but why would I when there is no need? The game is so easy, you dont have to get the best gear to beat it. And this is it. The lack of motivation. There is nothing challenging in this game. And if there is, you brutally overgear it before you get to it.
  4. I dont see any problems with my Shadow. But I see one big problem in your first sentence - you are trying to stab someone. Well, this is not rogue, not at all. Infilitration Yes, you should open from stealth, but mainly for + Force Regen. Then Clairvoyant/Voltaic twice, then Project/Shock, then Force Breach/Discharge and then usually our Execute ability or Clairvoyant/Voltaic again. It is this easy. There is no need to use backstab at all, you have to watch those small icons if you have backstab buff and the damage is not that great compared to other attacks. Also the animation and general lag in warzones make using backstab quite inefficient. Tanking For pvp, we have one of the best survivability - our elemental/internal mitigation is highest in the game, we can go immune for 5 secs and we have good defense cd. Speccing tank gives you a lot if utility - pull, aoe debuffs and snare and you still have quite good burst due to Particle Acceleration/Energize. I have to say that gear will make your experience better. I have now 10,5% and I can really wreck people in few globals. When I spec tank, I can survive a lot. I dont really get it why people think playing a Shadow is hard, in every spec talent will tell you clearly what is the good rotation, what you should do.

Hehe, shadows are really funny class and I think we will see more qq in the future. I dont think the skill curve is that steep for this class I think people have more problems with what is this class about. Most of them see Backstab ability and try to play it as some kind of rogue. And thats the biggest problem I think, even the Infiltration tree is not really roguish. Burst yes, rogue nope. Other than that, a lot of "bad" players went for OMG Assassin. Just happened to me in Alderaan Civil that I tried to ninja cap one turret and I got jumped by two of those Sins and I proceeded to kill them both my Shadow finishing on half health. We were all 50s ofc. I think Shadow is "gold in the mud" class. You have to play it for some time to really understand it. Then you can tank like a boss in pvp or kill 50 snipers/operatives in 3 globals :-).
  6. Lol, you must be a happy guy that you have nothing to push. On my Shadow, I am using like 25 keybinds pretty regularly and I still click few more things manually in pvp. I feel like a frickin pianist sometimes. Whats the point of my post? You are doing it wrong, you are not using your abilities right. If you are infiltration specced, always start combat from stealth, never use backstab unless you have the proc, use blackout regularly. Because Infiltration is really good at power management. On the other hand it is true that we are somewhat limited in attacks - you have Project and Double Strike/Clayivorant Strike. And with different builds these attacks have different job and will open new skills to use. I think I really like it, while you are using them in every spec, they have different outcome every time.
  7. I have to say that when I saw the Vanguard tanking tree, I had to laugh. They get: - like 50%+ damage mitigation - pretty much same PASSIVE block chance as we do with Kinetic Barrier and more Absorption - their interrupt (which is needed for hardmodes) is superior - less cd, and they get another one. - better accuracy debuff - Harpoon as a BASELINE skill, and Charge to boot - better defensive CD - that 25% damage reduction is easily better than all our cooldowns (other then our immunity) - better aggro management with easy AoE attacks Only thing we are somewhat better is defense and I would trade hard passive mitigation for chance based one anytime.
  8. I think you can get most marks as a tank. Lets count: 3x for guarding 10k 1x solo kill 1x 2,5k damage 1x 2,5k heal (use medpack) 2x for kills 10,25 1x for damage 75k 1-3x per objectives - defending/attacking
  9. Yes, you really want to try as hard as you can. At lvl 50, you dont care about winning that much you care about Valor and commendation, and that means medals. You only need to win 3 games to finish your daily and then it is just Valor and commendation grind. I am Shadow tank in warzones and I can achieve 8-12 medals in pretty much every game. That means that more than half of my rewards is from my gameplay, not winning. What I mean is that you play your best all the time, you will get greatly rewarded even for loss. Being a tank or heal/dps hybrid helps a lot.
  10. I would say Shadow is closer to Shaman from WoW then some assasin class. I really like combination of melee and spellcasting - well, all our spells are instant. Add tanking ability and you have a great class.
  11. 34 here and full balance, I am loving it. Using a healer companion and tanking technique while solo questing. I can beat pretty much anything, and my Force in Balance AoE is doing like 1k damage. Groups are fine, for bosses I have enough dps and dots and enough survivability thanks to tanking toggle. Works really great for me, I can even tank flashpoints like that, saved many boss fight already when tank is dead. Love this class.
  12. I am full balance 32 right now. I am using the healer companion (Thrax?). While I am balance I am actually using Combat technique (tanking one) while solo questing. I can easily aggro whole groups and my companion is healing me nicely, I dont have to meditate at all basicly. To be honest, I dont really know why people say Infiltration is best for leveling. Balance has nice AoE and nice dots for bosses.
  13. 2nd August here, luckily I have enough stuff to do today. Will try to log in like 7 hours, hopefully I will be able to play.
  14. Is it actually an exploit? I mean it is BWs fault that there is not enough people on the servers. When I get in, I will auto-queue all the time too. Nothing wrong with that tbh. I dont see BW doing anything with it.
  15. Another thing I dont understand is there is 9am in Europe right now. I think Bioware has to have some kind of EU tech support, so why dont they just let more people in?
