  1. This is a troll thread, and should have been closed a long time ago. It is sad it is still being kept alive.
  2. Hey, I grinded dailies pre-KotFE with 50k daily per planet and still painstakingly managed to earn a Dominator's Command Throne for 7 million and several sets of armor just from my time and effort playing the game. But the thing is, in KotFE the GTN prices have gone way up. Even before the heroics credit reward reduction it was pretty much impossible to afford sets that go for up to 120 million credits or so. The real culprits are exploiters, which should have their accounts banned, and not normal people grinding heroics. If dropping the credit rewards from heroics is what you really want to do despite knowing all this, then instead of the "chance cubes" you should bring back old packs or have specific drop packs (like gold armor pack, etc) available in CM all the time, so people can narrow down the set/vehicle/weapon/etc they are targeting when buying packs, which would in turn drop the prices. Or you can carry on and destroy one of the last fun and meaningful activities left in this game.
  3. It is quite obvious that this was targeted at honest casual players who want to grind their credits to buy vanity items or unlocks. Credit sellers and those who use exploits are just going to continue using their exploits. If Bioware wants to save this game, this heroics credit nerf needs to be reverted ASAP.
  4. Well, like I said several times earlier in this thread, this should never get implemented. AC swap would just lead to queuing as tank with non-tank gear. I was recently in a PUG operation with tank having full DPS gear and not generating any threat. Even when I was playing WoW, I remember people queuing as tanks with DPS gear or even lacking gear. This needs to stop. I would even remove the respec. A role choice should have gravity and FOTM hoppers should be punished by having to buy a 60 token or level up that character.
  5. I agree. As I said, any solution would help, be it decreasing the respawn cooldown or instancing the area around the heroic objective. However, I think that instancing would go towards a better and more long-term solution. There is already at least one "instanced open area" heroic on Balmorra as an example.
  6. Even doing 1-3 is wrong and shouldn't be allowed. Shouldn't, hence the thread and hence in this forum. Speaking of majority/minority, it seems like your griefing apologist side is in the minority. There are several posters supporting me, and only you opposing.
  7. Ok, let's see this situation. 1. I come to see that the NPC who is an objective of a heroic is not there, he is respawning. 2. After some time, say half a minute, a griefer comes and positions himself on the spot of the NPC, completely ignoring me like a jerk he is. 3. He spams AoE and gets the tag when the NPC eventually spawns. 4. He waits for the NPC to respawn and kills him again. Repeat 3-4 as needed. Now, if you were waiting in line IRL, say in a post office, and someone blatantly ignored you and the others waiting in line, and just went straight to the end, how would you react? Just let him without a word? Would his behavior be tolerated by security? Exactly. I was there before him, I have the right to finish the quest earlier. His behavior is disgusting and rotten and should be reportable. Or, otherwise, like I'm suggesting here, it shouldn't be allowed in the first place by the game.
  8. Not everyone plays this game 24/7. What we're talking about here is griefing. We could also turn your "point" around: it is the griefers who are "impatient". They should wait their turn. Majority of people are griefers? I suppose you have statistics ready to back up that claim?
  9. Yes, that's Shock Doctrine. It happens in pretty much any open world heroic, with varying degrees of annoyance depending on planet and the time of day.
  10. Open world heroic mission objectives can be ninjaed by griefers. Worst offenders are missions like Shock Doctrine on Alderaan, Possessed Hunter on Dromund Kaas and Enclave Raid on Taris. This is an old issue, which, depending on the situation, can be circumvented by switching between multiple instances of the same planet. Lately however, there are often only a few instances available, if at all, so this is becoming more of a problem. It would be great if this was addressed somehow, by decreasing the respawn time of mission objectives or (better) by turning all heroics into instanced areas.
  11. Does not compute. Solo play is about surviving the encounter while maximizing your DPS, as any class. It is more similar to tactical flashpoints than real group play.
  12. I never understood why it is so hard to have separate characters for different ACs. Leveling was never a challenge, nor should it be. Only those who are new to MMOs, or trolls, think otherwise. Stop defending the noobness.
  13. Reality are people in finder ops and HM flashpoints who queue as tanks being a DPS, just to get the pop faster. Also those who queue for them underleveled and undergeared, "because bolster", and then fail epically because bolster doesn't increase secondary stats like Defense, Shield and Absorb rating. AC swap would just be adding fuel to the fire of noobery and laziness.
  14. What anyone who is complaining about level sync really wants is to give zero effort to be able to farm on low level planets. Also, one max level daily area ad infinitum (Yavin, later Ziost) is more appealing to them than heroics on any planet you choose. I saw the brilliance of level sync the first day, when there was a bug allowing players from opposing faction to get onto starting planets (which still seems to persist). There was a PvP enabled level 52 Jedi Knight on Korriban, who got wtfpwned by a level 15 Juggernaut. If that isn't awesome, I don't know what is! Only gankers would disagree. I didn't have to use heroic moment even once in 4.0. Companions are that OP, even after nerfs. I'm guessing there are a lot of new players who complain as well. They should have been around when Makeb or Oricon were new content. Everything is so much easier now. Some would even say "dumbed down".
