  1. I can't find any information on this, but does anyone know if Sever Tendon ability was removed from the game? My Tactician Set bonus still mentions it resets the ability, but I can't find it anywhere.
  2. Sorry buddy, but if you think that you ABSOLUTELY NEED a dps buff for PVP, then you, my friend, have a L2P issue.
  3. It's not an issue of being sectarian, it's just the fact of the matter that the way Ops are at this moment, they require different changes for your particular playstyle. PVE does not NEED a survivability buff, and PVP does not NEED a damage buff. Though both sides won't mind it if they do gain what isn't asked. BUT, the fact remains that, as BW has stated before, PVE changes will get priority over PVP.
  4. I'm going to have to disagree with this statement though I can see where you're coming from. I'm a Concealment PVEer mostly so I too have felt the cold sting of death in raids. BUT, I cannot blame it in the class survivability. If and when I do die, it's due to stealing aggro (obviously) and not wanting to “waste” a survival cd. But that's clearly my own fault. The innate impulse in us wanting to kill before being killed through sheer overpowering is just sometimes hard to resist ;P Anyway, the point is, if you drop the lonewolf mentality for just a minute, survivability does not become an issue in PVE whatsoever. My vanish/evasion/shield have proven to be more than effective in situations where I've become the main tank in a boss fight. Having reusable health packs have been a plus as well ^_^ Case in point, lack of survivability in PVE is really a(n) L2P issue. Our real issue as Conc PVEers was our sustained damage output due to eventual lack of energy. Hopefully, this “fairly significant damage boost” might fix this. Hopefully. As for the PVP aspect of this change, I see it as a potential return of a good offense being the best defense. But, who knows. I do not PVP anywhere near as much as I used to but I blame that on my limited leisure time. But even so, I am aware that survivability clearly is the issue. Not so much damage output. And I say that from personal experience. Not just reiteration of the masses. I'm certain in time we will see that much needed PVP love. At least a buff of sorts is on the way. Baby steps, ladies and gents, baby steps.
  5. Hey guys, So, I have come to the point (and many have as well), where the decision of replacing set bonus yielding Armorings with 78s (Armoring 34s) is at hand. I am curious though, since I am no theorycrafter, as to which will actually yield more damage output. Here are some personal specifics to help the decision process: Armorings: Head: (69) +81 Cunning (2P +15% Crit Chance to Shiv) Chest: (78) +105 Cunning Hands: (63) +64 Cunning (2P Extra Tick Orbital Strike) Waist: (72) + 88 Cunning Legs: (69) +81 Cunning (2P +15% Crit Chance to Shiv) Feet: (63) +64 Cunning (2P Extra Tick Orbital Strike) Wrist: (72) + 88 Cunning Off Hand: (78) +105 Cunning Main hand: (69) +81 Cunning Clearly, some armorings here are as they are because of bad luck on gear drops. For example, EVERYTHING that is not 78 that does not include a set bonus. But I can purchase the welfare epics with some comms. (Which is why I’m here in the first place) So, after doing some match, currently, in Armorings, I have: SET A +757 Cunning +15% Crit Chance to Shiv 1 Extra OS Tick Vs Potentially all 78s with no current set bonus: SET B +945 Cunning So, my question here is, what do yall believe will yield the most damage in the long run, set A or Set B? I have my thoughts but I'd like to hear yours. Thanks in advance TL;DR What's better? SET A +757 Cunning +15% Crit Chance to Blaster Whip 1 Extra Flyby Tick SET B +945 Cunning
  6. I'm curious, do we have a Rough Draft for the 3 questions yet?
  7. Since you are going Concealment, you should definitely check this website out! http://www.concealedblade.com/ It's a fansite specifically for Concealment Operatives. Enjoy!
  8. Hey guys, Concealment Operative, here! (Yeah, I know) So, I have come to the point (and many have as well), where the decision of replacing set bonus yielding Armorings with 78s (Armoring 34s) is at hand. 9. 2/10 Pretty lame name brotha. But that's just my opinion. I tend to believe names are really important for a character. But that just might be the geek in me With that said, I followed the path of Darth Sidious (sidious being a portion of insidious), so for my Dark Side Jugg Tank I went with: Darth Fa'rious Clearly, being that of Nefarious.
  10. http://www.concealedblade.com It's a fansite for specifically concealment operatives. Give it a looksy. You'll find some useful stuff in there.
  11. I'm afraid that if you want "nice, constant dps" WITHOUT having to go up and melee, then you've chosen the wrong advanced class. Your choices now are either Concealment (stabby stabby) or Lethality (Poisons with some pew pew). I only play Concealment so I can only give you feedback on that one. Lethality, if I'm correct, will give you a bit more range that Concealment because most of your attacks will be placing DOTs and whatnot. But, if you change your mind and want to stab things as hard as you can, then take a look at Concealment and check this website out that focuses on Concealment Operatives. http://www.concealedblade.com
  12. IT'S BEAUTIFUUUUUUL! Concealment Op ^_^ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v342/comissfoley01/Screenshot_2013-09-30_23_14_01_034701_zps7d7d86b0.jpg
  13. once you click the panel though, you get into combat... which defeats the purpose of the panel to begin with if its purpose is indeed to open the door...
  14. So, for some time I've noticed random panels near the Data Cores on the way to Operator IX. They ARE clickable before the cores explode. What is their purpose? Anyone know?
  15. After reading through the Sniper and Scoundrel Q&A I've come up with a question that maybe can be used to work with by adding stuff to it if need be. The question is part of a blog I posted concerning the Sniper/Scoundrel Q&A. If anyone is interested, you can read it over at ConcealedBlade.com. In comparison to all other DPS classes, Operatives are at the bottom of the DPS charts. Especially the Concealment Tree. And as you are aware, these Operatives rely on Orbital Strikes and Explosive Probe in their single-target rotation to optimize their DPS. Now, in the Sniper answers, you claimed your dislike of having OS and EP used in their rotation to increase their single-target DPS. You also came across their weaknesses, that being "quality of life issues like energy management, lack of a well-flowing rotation – thanks to the extremely long cooldowns on Explosive Probe and Orbital Strike, along with the unfriendly requirement of using Adrenaline Probe to maximize sustained damage," which just so happen to be the EXACT same issues we have. And During the Scoundrel session, you essentially disapproved of OS being such an appealing ability to us. On top of all that, the hardest hitting melee ability (Hidden Strike), according to your metrics, is only used once per encounter, and only hits for a significant amount IF it crits. So, noting our energy management issues, essentially taking away OS from us, potentially changing EP to make it unappealing in our rotation, and leaving HS as is, what ideas do the team have, other than attempting to make Overload Shot a practical filler, which will clearly not compensate for our massive DPS loss, to make Operative DPS viable in a PVE and PVP setting?
  16. I really like most of these changes you mentioned. They are well thought out and would definitely help in the solving of our main issue. Not having viable DPS. At first, I believed that we didn't really require a buff but instead a retuning of abilities and energy management. But, as mentioned in one of the Q&As, any real significant changes to playstyle will have to be held off for an expansion. So, for now we will have to settle for some tweaks here and there. This is where the genius in your post comes in. Most of the changes are but tweaks in percentages, which is doable, is not as time consuming, and will lead us down the right path of becoming a viable spec in PVE. Noting that they seem to be planning on eliminating Orbital Strike from our single-target rotation (which is a HUGE nerf in our DPS), then it looks like buffing several abilities through the Concealment Tree is the only answer. Quick question though due to some of your typos. What exactly are you trying to say here? Excuse my ignorance, but is Quickshot to Scoundrels what Overload Shot is to us OPs?
  17. The 1v1 is definitely a good idea. I was thinking about touching up on that as soon as Arenas came out. Because realistically, that's the time when such info would be relevant. Thanks for the tip!
  18. It would make a design that's actually helpful!
  19. ConcealedBlade.com was created for the sole purpose of giving all the sneaky, stabby Operatives out there a place to find information, guides, tips and tricks for the class. Maybe even a place to hang out! For quite some time I have been searching far and wide for information in order to improve my Concealment Operative. But, alas, it has ultimately been to no avail. Sure, I find bits and pieces here and there from scattered forums in the internet, but nothing truly solid. This is where this site comes in. My ultimate goal is to find and compile all information out there on Concealment Operatives and give them a home. As well as adding my own opinions and those of others. In other words, not everything that is posted in this site is solid information. There will be theorycrafting and results from parses and whatnot, which is as solid as you can get. But, in the end, remember that this is a work in progress, guide to Concealment Operatives. Not a gold paved, one-way road.
  20. Target of Focus Target would be phenomenal for a healer. Just sayin'.
  21. If you don't want to go to the trouble of looking through your ability windows, check http://www.concealedblade.com/p/leveling.html#abilities It labels which are tech abilities. Also, the site might help you out through your levels
  22. This JUST started happening to me last night during a TFB raid. Seemed to only happen when I spam exfiltrate though. Not a real detriment because by the time the GCD is up, I roll without an issue.
  23. Also, since you are leveling an Operative. You might want to give the Concealed Blade site a view. It's pretty much a SWTOR fansite made specifically for operatives. http://www.concealedblade.com/ It's got some pretty neat stuff to guide you through the world of Operatives. Though, as the title implies, the focus is Concealment Operatives. But, it's still worth a look.
