Only thing thats hard to keep up with on my end is cureing. But yes I do my best to get that off of the lower health ppl. Sometimes the sniper and mara miss an interrupt which may be leading to the overheating. Edit: and no we havent gone the duel tank route. Perhaps trying this, this week

I am struggling with heat issues terribly on this encounter. Our tank is in full t3 which is what I'm healing. The rest of the group is as follows 2 maras sorc heals sniper 2 merc arsenal Thing is the spike dmg in this encounter is killing me heat wise. We have the mechanics down yet I always seem to be overheated. I am wearing 4/t3 and the rest is t2. My casting speed is at 12%. My crit is at 35% unbuffed. Multi is at 72% yet i find myself only seeing 6k crits every once and awhile. Pretty sure my rotation is solid. Just curious if any other BG;s are struggling in this encounter?

I'm in t3 as well. I wasnt taking a stab at you. Was just saying there are circumtances that its useful. In that fight it helps with the noob dps we have that take too long to back off Jarg. They do it to piss me off lol.

Then you havent done Jarg and Sorno on nm lol..i use cure like a mofo on that fight.

If we can screen more than 3 ppl this is going to get the "op" tag quickly.

We'll see about that once Bh/Commandos get their aoe on. Its going to be stupid op if it hits 8 targets and screens them. Not to mention you can cast it on the move.

If you are queing with a good team, merc healing is great. Pugging = no so great.

Before they release anymore content, I would like to see the content they do have out fixed. I'm tired of having to "work around" bugging boss encounters. Fix the problems first, then release new content.

Had the same thing happen to me. Had no credits on me and no way to get out. Then I started looking around and I found a Medical Droid. So happy was I. EDIT: Just re-read your post. Misunderstood. You're actually bound to the spot after you exit your ship? Yeah that's going to need some divine intervention .

I use it all the time in PvP actually. I just pick the proper time to do so. For example when a Mara is force choking so poor soul.

Keep your attack abilities on your hot bar. You're going to be using them. I bound my heals to my mouse. Even if you only have a few buttons on yours, say two on the side and the wheel bind your scans. Get used to a good rotation and you will start to learn to weave in attacks as well as heals. BG's do alot more than heal. We pretty much control the battle in a sense. CC, stuns, and ofc healing. Main thing to get good at is heat management. Gl and have fun.

I totally agree with Puzzlebox in reagards to PvP healing. I have at times had 5 people on me at once and gotten away while saving my patient lol. Pisses ppl off, but hey, Its what I do =P

Lol, your post isnt "noobish" man. Yeah, the sorc healer and I are pretty much the only ones communicating through mumble when on a boss encounter. Its usually to give instructions to the melee or to yell at someone to pop their threat dump. Mainly I use it to tell him when I'm going to need back up for a sec while vent heat comes off CD. Like I said tho, mainly during a stressful healing fight. Most of the time I can keep my heat atleast under 40.

Well with our dmg shield plus Kolto residue I find that I have plenty of time to throw in some dps when healing. Wether it be a raid boss or trash. I just keep the tank topped off and everyone else looks to be atleast 75% I'll throw my dot on the mob and hit it with a rail shot inbetween heals. Sure we're not going to put out any real dps. We dont have the time to, but when you're trying to beat enrage timers, every little bit helps =)

Our healing is fine the way it is. My only gripe is no combat rez < sometimes my tank is a slow *** and doesnt get out of the blast radius for the robot boss in Karagga’s Palace>. Our aoe only hits three targets but we can use it on the run. I mainly use it for screening melee or range thats pulling too much threat in 8 mans. I main heal all raids atm and have no trouble keeping people alive. Not sure what gear you guys are wearing but i'm in all t2 with some t3. I have no problems with the mechanic although in stressful healing situations I tend to overheat at times. Thats what vent heat is for. I run with an awesome sorc healer so very rarely do I need to play catchup. He gives me time to get heat under control. All in all I find this class/spec to be very fun to play. I never find myself wishing i rolled a different healer.

Anyone at all. Kinda desperate here. Quiet a few folks relying on me. I unfortunitly dont have the cash right now to buy a 2 mo. game card so this is really my only option. Has anyone else used this type of payment?

The same people that get bad BG's in their pt or ops. I healed BG from level 10 to 50. I'm currently main healing EV. Downed SOA night before last for a server first. When my reg heals are hitting for 3k and I'm critting somewhere near 5.5 to 5.7, I dont need emergency heal. The only thing i'm missing from my skill sheet is a combet rez. Freakin bs we dont have one. That is all =)

I'm actually spec'ed BG, but heres how I feel about the subject. While you may indeed be spec'ed into one of the dps trees you still get a healing skill. If you see something getting out of hand and the main healer is struggling, then yes I would for sure lend a hand. As far as the "hybrid" thing goes, yes there are plenty of Mercs running around that fit into this role.
