  1. Hi, Eric. Will the bug that makes the Makeb weekly give 75 CXP be addressed in this update?
  2. You could have started like this or you could have said so in topic, it would have helped me avoid the feeling of being click-baited.
  3. Charles, please, be a good troll for Musco and make Kai Zykken a pet.
  4. Some might argue they should be hurt. PVP is about skill, not grinding.
  5. Didn't see it anywhere.... Got a link? So no Tier 4 either? Or how is this to be done?
  6. I'm starting to think I'm crazy. Didn't I read something about a new FP? Umbara? I can find no more mention of it anymore. Please someone tell me I am not totally wasted already, Edit: Yes, I'm wasted. It's in 5.3 rumors.
  7. No, didn't happen. Got 4 more crates but I'm still 300. Any idea why?
  8. You are correct. it is off-topic and the wish might be out of SW world. Correct. I hate them tripping so much. I avoided them as much as I could even in KOTET (I cleared the path without mounting one and came back for them because I had to!) and it drives me crazy that I am forced to use them. Make them as realistic as possible, just don't force me to use them. Having a mission that I did not do on Iokath and achievements that I did not get because I can't bear them will leave a bitter taste. But that's all of topic, ok. Back on topic: Keith, no, not that quest is implied. You have to pay with shards and money to get the walker to kill 40 mobs. That's a quest you have to pay for. And another hard to understand quest: Powering Up the Weapons Factory. Why? What's the difficulty? What's the purpose of 5 cores? Why not 1? Why not 25? It's silly how pointless that is.
  9. And how will I be doing the mission of killing 40 mobs as walker if I don't want to buy one with shards? I hate those walkers since I can't strafe and they can't jump AT ALL. Which means everything trips them and they are a horrible experience to walk in. Yea, I know, I am not forced to do that. That means I don't want the achievement.... BUT I DO!! BOOOO!!! That's all I have to say.
  10. No, no, no. I don't like coordinating with other people. I like my guild. I don't like doing ops. With my guild or not, regardless. I hate the wait for the group to be formed, I hate ppl that waste my time by messing up, I hate socializing. Why would I be FORCED to group up? Why? I don't care about rewards. I want to play the game-play. Alone. I pay the sub alone, I want to be able to enjoy the entire game alone. ^this. For all those "This is a MMA" arguing guys.
  11. One more reason to make all content available for solo play.
  12. EC by pug? Nah. Rewards should be esthetics and stuff for ppl that collect achievements, in my idea.
  13. Make uprisings, operations and all flashpoints that don't already have them available for solo play. Many subscribers are solo players. That would give a big boost to the share quantity of time-play for subscribers that would keep them engaged for quite a bit of time until new content can be brought to the game, allowing you to develop new content without the pressure at least from the solo players for new story and script, at least for a while. Make sure that this does not compete with grouping for operations and uprisings. That would be done by rewards. Reward these solo player ops, fp's, uprisings with NO gear, few cxp, achievements, decorations, pets, esthetic gear. Also, make sure that all of these ops, fps, ups, have the base mechanics that you can find in story mode. That would give players time to learn the ops, learn the mechanics, practically would give the solo players a training run (runs) so even pugs might have a better chance of success. If there is very difficult to have a solo way of solving the ops make the ops h2+. I am thinking Zorn and Toth, as an example. Also, I think that the galactic command has the same background idea: you have so much content not used by players. Why not use it more efficiently?
  14. Problem: - gearing through pvp takes too much time while gearing through pve (operations) it’s pretty similar to 4.0 and, as such, not a complaint. Solution: - Making gearing through the pvp method take the same amount of time as gearing through pve method In order for the analysis to make sense, I shall split the problem into the 3 different tier levels. The number of components rewarded presently remains the same. Assumptions: Tier 1 gear: o is the entry level gear. In the past, entry gear could be bought almost as soon as you would have reached top level; o It’s necessary to upgrade the gear to lvl 2. Many ppl sold shells and, as such, need to get them back o the level of it (230) is under the pvp bolster level o by the time 5.1 was introduced, most raiding players would already have the tokens necessary to buy lvl 2 gear (with only one drop from a hm op). That left pvp players with a lot of bitterness, as they would have to grind tier 1 first. This are the reasons I think it would make sense to make a piece available for a very low price. Now we have: Piece Tier 1 (230) Implant 80 Ear 80 Relic 80 Chest 100 Legs 100 Hands 100 Boots 100 Helm 100 Offhand 120 Mainhand 120 Bracer 75 Belt 75 Total 1290 My suggestion would be to divide this prices by 6. A total of 215 components for tier 1 would mean 61 pvp wz matches (3 weeklies) at a 50% win chance. Adding the RNG drops and gsf matches that would make the level 1 gear fill up much faster. 20 components in order to buy the most expensive shell for the upgrade would mean 10 wz losses at the worst pace. - Tier 2 I shall assume that an average time for an hm operation is 150 minutes. This might differ from reality and from operation to operation, but I think is more important to show the algorithm, since the constants can be adjusted. I shall consider an successful operation raiding skill to be the equivalent of a 66% win, 34% loss ratio pvp skill. So, Eric stated as percentages of dropping and dulfy I assume took from his posts these percentages: 1st boss - 20% chance to drop any unassembled piece. 2nd boss - 25% chance to drop any unassembled piece. 3rd boss - 30% chance to drop any unassembled piece. 4th boss - 35% chance to drop any unassembled piece. Final boss - 100% chance to drop unassembled head piece. That would make a sum of 210% for a 2-pieces drop. I shall take that as a 4 items average drop in 150 minutes. That would fill 14 slots on 8 players. So, in order to fully equip an 8 man team would be needed 112 drops. Divided by 4, that would mean 28 ops. At the rate of 150 mins per op, that means 4200 minutes for 8 players. Divided to 8, I would say 525 minutes per person. But considering that finding a raid is not easy and there should be a reason to form up guilds and have friends in a mmorpg, I think that 525*2.5 would be a reasonable time rate to fill up the slots with tier 2 gear by pvp solo mode. Around 1300 minutes. Average time to complete a wz: 15 minutes. (again, an assumption that can be corrected in order to adjust the algorithm). Number of warzones in 1300 minutes: 86,66 (let’s make that 85) So, with 85 warzones you should be able to equip the entire tier 2. At a 66w:34l ratio, that would mean 57 win and 28 loss. 5comp x 57 wins + 2comp x 2 loss = 285+56= 341 components to upgrade to full tier 2. Now the entire tier 2 upgrade costs 1940 components. So I would suggest slashing the prices 5.5 and rounding up. Tier 3 Getting a tier 3 should be a bit more difficult that getting a tier 3 since even in operations to get a full NiM raid going requires quite some skill and also to be well equipped. Since I am not a regular rider, I am a bit on a shaky ground here but after determining the 341 components for the upgrade to tier 2, I would use the same ratio of increase that it is actually on place for upgrade from tier 2 to 3 compared to the upgrade from tier 1 to 2 cost. 2915/1940 = 1.5. 1,5 x 341 = 512 components. Those ratios and calculations applied and rounded would give such a table price for the 3 tiers, at the current drop rates of components from pvp matches. Piece Tier 1 (230) Tier 2 (236) Tier 3 (242) Total Implant 13 T1 + 21 T2 + 32 66 Ear 13 T1 + 21 T2 + 32 66 Relic 13 T1 + 21 T2 + 32 66 Chest 17 T1 + 27 T2 + 41 85 Legs 17 T1 + 27 T2 + 41 85 Hands 17 T1 + 27 T2 + 41 85 Boots 17 T1 + 27 T2 + 41 85 Helm 17 T1 + 27 T2 + 41 85 Offhand 20 T1 + 32 T2 + 48 100 Mainhand 20 T1 + 32 T2 + 48 100 Bracer 12 T1 + 19 T2 + 29 60 Belt 12 T1 + 19 T2 + 29 60 Total 214 T1 + 342 T2 + 519 1075 Formatting tables on the forum is NOT my thing. If anyone can do it better, please, do. I would have been sorry not to come with a feedback, since you guys asked explicitly for it. Hope it helps in any way, as an idea of an algorithm so that components would give pvp dedicated players the chance of gearing up in the same time-frame as ops players do. If you had the patience to read all this and you think I made a wrong assumption or calculation, please, point it out.
  15. All I heard in the last twitch and all even this communication shows you read and acted on what we all here complained. Even if is visible that the resources you have are not as big as we would wish, that is good. Before going on forum I re-subbed. Seeing this sort of communication makes me happy I did.
  16. Actually, I have been a sub since the launch. I have paused a summer in 2013, I think, came back and subbed ever since. I cancelled my sub some days ago but the stream made me change my mind. I re-subbed because I felt they read the complaints. The message got through. We need changes and fast, we need new content and fast. Ok, the op is pacy, but pacy is better than later. I could sense they got the urgency in our message. they even restrained from being to giggly. that, most of all, made me feel hopeful.
  17. As many of the replies there already explained, that explanation is garb. "Same difference as 4.0". Yea, you forget the grind that you have to do even for the first tier. Same difference in gear, maybe. in time to get it? Humongous. But that's what you want. isn't it? Grind. Boredom. Paying for the same reloaded moves. Recycling all the contend which probably seems a lot to you, guys, that don't play the game. Basically, you lie by omission. Waiting for metrics on that one? On 5.0 I did several pvp matches every day. Hell, I even made the weekly almost every week. A job and two superb doughters prevented me to do even more. It was fun. But fun was bad... so... now? I have 9 components. 3 are from GSF. Those metrics, when they come, might not be statistically relevant since already many 5.0 pvp players gave it up. Don't look. Change it. Fast. Again, same lie by omission. Same way, 10 times the grind. You really think we don't understand that? And you answer is a bit besides the question. When you emergency-introduced that mechanism back put you in a situation where you had to take this collateral damage for players who sold shells. Admit it. Come up with a sort of reward for it or not, but admit it. A bug that was loved. Until you have some in depth explanation why it had to be changed nobody will understand it. Put yourselves in our shoes. It makes no sense. A bug?! It worked! We loved it! Why was it a bug?! No promises, but I'll definitely think on resubing. I don't think you realize that if you don't stop the players from leaving, those 5 years subscription that go will be much more difficult to get back in 2 months from now. You don't have to much time to analyze, discuss and consider. I wish you do the right thing. My wife doesn't.
  18. There are many ppl curious about this one. You know it?
  19. I have 2 suggestions: 1) make changes in such a way that a player that spends 3-4 hours a day playing can gear at least 8 alts in a year. Reduce the grind or enhance the drop chances. Make it possible that when a player reaches gc lvl 90 he could choose to stay in that tier until he has a full tier I set. Same thing for tier II. Put a fail-safe in place that you don't get doubles. Whatever. But if I play 8 alts (one each class, although there are ppl with 30 alts or more) I should be able to equip them (at least at the maximum level that can be achieved WITHOUT OPS*, 240) until the next expansion. Right now I can do that through luck, money (crafted items) or pvp components. All of these options would take more, much more than a year for 8 alts. 2) make all group content available for single player, even if it would be rewarded with decorations only. That would make player at least see basic mechanics without feeling guilty that they are making an entire group drag and/or wipe. Works fine for many flashpoints, I can't see any reason not to work for uprisings or even ops. And also, would give a LOT of content to soloplayers to sub for. * - I make the distinction since ops I don't do and I don't care about. BUT I do think that the effort of grouping with other players and putting up with them and their nonsense for a couple of hours should be rewarded extra somehow. I already unsubed. Please, please, make me sub again!!
  20. Because people will have fun without having to grind and without need to gear up. Gearing up, in their mind, should be hard. Of course, they mistake hard with boring, but that's another matter. Back on topic, if there is no grind, why did they do all that work to install the fancy group finder named gc? So, no bolster rollback. It was a bug it was so high, in their eyes.
  21. Totally correct! I said it before, after 5.0 actually enjoying the game should be considered an exploit!
  22. Where can I find that survey? I want to say my two pieces too.
