  1. I'd get a refund on my high school tuition if I were you. While you are at it, a middle school/junior high refund might be something you need to look at also.
  2. Why remove them? Give us a good reason.
  3. Well when BW starts releasing other numbers that actually mean something about server populations, we might start agreeing with you.
  4. Quit replaying that voicemail, just admit you got punk'd and delete it.

    Getting Owned

You've come to the right place. Whine enough and you'll get your wish.
  6. Want to know the terribly boring part? PvP. They made weak attempts of forcing PvP but just didn't quite get it right. PvPers left and server populations dropped. Rift, like some other games, was a PvE game trying to do PvP and failed. People should take heed. PvPers in this game are losing interest fast. If there is an exodus, chances are PvPers will be leading the pack. What impact it has with the game only time will tell. Just remember the impact it had with Rift.
  7. Corrected it for you because there's a lot of players that do both. Or strictly PvP'ers will leave en masse. That is one thing BW cannot afford to happen.
  8. Then BW would be forced to reintroduce a PvP stat/ability to counter it OR introduce higher stat PvP gear OR get slammed for forcing PvP'ers to raid.
  9. Maybe they RNG the objectives since they love to RNG so much. Hell, they RNG ties. They RNG BM comms. I bet there so many RNGs used in this game that we can't even count them all.

    Zee nerf!

Operatives got nerfed. Due to the fallout of the word "nerf" (which is 100% appropriate for what they did), BW has decided the new buzzword is now "reworked". Now the fanbois can derail any "nerf" comments.
  11. I've noticed it on occasion but didn't think much of it - figured it was a UI glitch. Cast interrupt and it doesn't stop his cast. My interrupt is supposed to stop any ability and prevent them from using it 4 for secs. Guess not.
  12. Then you need to find out who those players are that are not taking the queues. Good luck. For all you know they could be doing that deliberately. Sad if true.
  13. I had to go back to this statement. I'm just trying to think of all the things in real life that weren't earned because of invested time. Yeah, I know, this game isn't real life. So let's stick to the game. Answer these questions. How do I earn better spell abilities? How do I get better crafting skills? How do I get credits? These things weren't handed to me, I earned them. What did I require, more than anything else, to get these things? Take your time. More and more I see the clarion call by some to modify MMORPGS into nothing more than a multiplayer FPS when it comes to PvP. Removing invested time does just that.
  14. Who is the genius that thinks Bioware got this idea?

    PvP noob question

Yes, assuming you aren't trolling. Pre-made = queueing as a group, typically means a full group Also since you are new to PvP (your claim), remember that PvP is entirely different than PvE. PvE is often scripted because the encounter is the same every time, PvP can often be unpredictable (since players don't follow scripts). The most important aspect of PvP is seeing the big picture and not being red blind (i.e. you see an enemy you attack without thinking). Learn strategy and tactics. Get to know the strengths and weaknesses of classes you will be fighting. Learn how to teamplay. I've known PvP players that still haven't learned even playing for years and I've seen new PvP players that learn quickly. Practice makes perfect but you really need to be practicing to become better.
  16. It has already been stated by BW itself that in the event of a tie, RNG comes into play.
  17. Yes they could tell us what they are doing. Here's how they can do it without a ton of ************ and moaning and would shut the trollers up. There have been several ideas presented on fixing Ilum. No one idea is perfect, but all of them are better than what we have now. BW compiles 3 different ideas from all the suggestions. In detail but how much doesn't need to be overkill. Give us sketches (of the zone), primary changes (e.g. smaller/altered map, additions/deletions from map, objectives, rewards/consequences, etc.). They are going to have that all laid out in a prototype design anyway, just summarize it. Lastly state a rough estimate of design time for each prototype. Make a disclaimer that the estimate is only that and is subject to change. They take those three ideas and set up a poll in this forum and make it a sticky. If there is no clear decisive winner, pick the top two for a runoff and the highest vote wins. Allow comments of any suggestions that do not warrant a redesign of the prototype. Restrict comments to suggestions only. It shouldn't take that long to get the design specs summary. When they are ready, start the poll and run it for a week. If there's a runoff, make it only 3 days. Trust me, this thread will get a ton of attention. Now BW can easily say this is OUR game and their PR will be very happy. Make it available asap on the test server. Send out private invites for a few scheduled tests (allowing players to copy one 50 character over to test). Restrict access to only invited Ilum testers during that time. Get feedback on bugs and only mandatory change suggestions and update. Trivial changes can be added later in patches if needed. This is important, allow participants to post their impressions back in this forum. That way everyone knows what's going on. Come down hard on flamers but don't squash concerned posts. Now we will know exactly what we are getting. This will definitely create a reason to resub. Win/win. This is true. Happens with anything in life. We are not asking to fix classes. This is about Ilum right or did I post in the wrong thread? Which doesn't justify, in any way, BW opting to say nothing. Some players are always satisfied - we call them fanbois.

    Tracer Missile....

Tracer missile...tracer missile... ACID BLADE ... HIDDEN STRIKE ... DEBILITATE ... ACID BLADE ... BACKSTAB ... Now the fun begins...
  19. Uhhh, no. Losing gear is ridiculous in this game because of the difficulty getting it. Players would quickly lose interest in taking that kind of risk just to get some valor. That would only work if gear wasn't a concern but then losing it wouldn't be a concern either and the whole game just changed dramatically. But you are 100% right that there should be consequences. Currently there is almost zero risk vs. reward in this game (unless you count having to respawn and run back taking some time as a risk). Consequences can be achieved in other ways. Perhaps a 5 minute debuff where your damage is reduced and your defensive stat is reduced which makes you much squishier. Maybe lose some credits (not a lot but enough that will add up after repeated deaths). Maybe lose some valor (again not a lot but enough). Something that doesn't stop you from wanting to jump back into the fight but doesn't burn you hard. Imagine losing your BM chest piece after getting killed? Uh... no. But you are on the right track though. Risk vs. reward is needed in pvp and this game seems to not have any.
  20. I never said it was, but then the other side has 4 people also. Unless they are an 8 group premade (2 teams of 4 coordinating in vent). The other 4 are not coordinating anything and our 4 aren't either. My whole point was that people are trying to make this a black/white situation when it's not. Like I said before, other factors are important. Simply saying that 2 tanks/2 healers are godmode is incorrect if, and only if, the other side doesn't know how to strategize around it. Are they tough to beat? Yes. Impossible? No - especially if beating them isn't just trying to kill them. Take this situation, where it is almost impossible and that's in Alderaan. If 2 tanks/2 healers are guarding middle, for example, then yes it will be almost impossible to kill them (which you almost have to do unless they are stupid and 1) get too far from node and can't get back in time to stop a cap or 2) get separated from each other where range comes into play. If they are smart, they stay within range of each other and chances are if they are a 4-some, they are that smart. Again, one more time, 2 tanks/2 healers staying together is not the norm, it's the exception from my experience.
  21. That's it? Nope. And I was expecting you to actually refute it. Alas, I was wrong.
