  1. However they introduce it, I hope they put in an option for us to pick the gender of the companions...I'm really disappointed that I've got 2 females...not all gamers are guys! I like the idea of a new companion to replace a current one. There are a couple companions of mine that I wouldn't mind swapping out :-) More of the email communication would be awesome as well :-) It just adds more depth to an already amazing story line.
  2. Out of all of the games I've played lately, this is by far the best. It reminds me of the older MMO's that were challenging to learn and explore. Sure the story line is rather linear but that's easier then running around multiple planets randomly trying to figure out where to quest next (ala Anarchy Online). I have enjoyed the interactions with the companions and while I wish they had more interaction the only thing I really hate is the multitude of females on my ship! I'm a female sith warrior and I would LOVE more interaction in the game...male characters get to have more fun/flirts... I have really enjoyed the challenge of the game with exploration and learning new things. Sure I miss a few things like being able to see my own damage but I remember gaming when we didn't have threat or damage meters and we had to think! Thank you BioWare for a great game, sure it's got some bugs but what game hasn't?
  3. Any male for female sith warriors :-) We have too many females on our ships as it is....
  4. Portland here :-) Anyone on Hyperspace Cannon?
  5. Yes, I know, I'm posting this in the spoilers section but I don't want to ruin anyone's story....
  6. Having played AO and WoW I have to agree With Riotus on this. SWTOR has a good balance and I do not think any game will ever match Anarchy's shadowlevels *shudder* now that was a grindfest that put the original EQ to shame... I have two level 27 characters in SWTOR it's taken me around two weeks (I was a preorder early access) unlike WoW where I could hit 85 in a week AND be geared for raiding..... Thank you BioWare for giving this game a challenge (or at least other things to do besides grind to max level quickly).
  7. First, I have to give kudos to the BioWare team. I'd just about given up on MMO's until this came along. A game that's reasonably challenging, with an engaging storyline that didn't dumb down the content so everyone capable of clicking a mouse can hit the "I Win" button. I've been playing MMO's since 1999 and survived some horrible launches (EQ, DAoC, Anarchy Online), so far this game has been an incredible, amazing experience. I wanted something where I couldn't steamroll content, where crowd control wasn't "optional" but a requirement and where leveling didn't feel like a grind fest just to hit max level. I know there's various people complaining that the game is too hard and if I had to guess these are the same people that whined to another MMO company that their game was too hard until said company toned down the content to the point where people started to quit. Force people to learn their class and to learn how to use crowd control and interrupts. Those are the things that make this game a challenge and what makes it fun :-) There is quite a bit of potential for the game. I would like some customization for the UI but I'd love it if BioWare stayed away from the damage meters because too many people develop tunnel vision and that almighty meter is ALL they care about.....it takes more then just good damage to down a boss, you also need coordination and skill. Unfortunately, many players forget this simple fact.
