When I get hit by a Sniper, my target automatically tabs to his because I guess he's drawing aggro but when I melee leaps, unstealths for melee attack(especially from behind)....my auto target doesn't tab to their aggro and many times I have the hardest time selecting a close melee by tab targeting. I am wondering if Ranged Aggro only forces auto-target?
  2. what are the variances in DPS and are each the Top Dmg builds available?

These 2 ACs and their mirrors are the only ACs w/o any ability to Change Utility Other classes can (Heal/ DPS) or (Tank/ DPS) Sniper and maurauders can only DPS...that's it....and I don't even believe that those 2 are the highest DPS(but that's another issue) If BW doesn't want to give them the utility of a healing or tanking spec like other ACs get....can you adust one of the trees to be a Buffing/debuffing spec? Currently Sniper and Marauder populations are suffering due to this lack of versatility. And from an informal study of WZs last night these 2 ACs combine to make up ~10% of the population of active PVP areas where normal distribution should have them at ~25% of the population.
  4. Uh Yeah...people can't mitigate WHITE dmg? besides a nade and a sab charge(default attacks, don't have to be spec'd into)....almost everything a MM Sniper's got is white dmg which is mitigated by armor and all shields/shielding effects
  5. but you can be stunned, chain stunned, grappled, pushed, pulled, knocked back you can pass, but the guy runs away from the ball(wasn't looking) its just better to pop whatever you need to pop.....run superfast through fire, immune to CCs, leap up, leap down, score. Psssht....why do things the hard way when you can group exploit? You FAIL
  6. well one nade can wipe group movers these premades that Hug healers.....what can you do by yourself? I try to circle to clump melee, flash bang...then pop everything and burn healer....if anyone has their CC breaker, the plan doesn't work.....I die regardless, but I love taking out the healer before I go..which does happen 1 out of 8 times I bust a group.
  7. 1. Does anyone believe that there are more premades than PUGS? So all this talking down to people who don't group is basically bashing the majority of the player base...right? 2. The "fun" part of premades is winning. If a premade group losses a few "ranked" WZs...will those "friends" continue to want to work as a team? If they do, they will just synchronize solo ques to pre vs pug again. I promise you this will happen. 3. So I'm supposed to see a group of people pwning a WZ and then say "Can i be your friend?" ...No I say "Can yall wait til Ranked? Go do some FPs or something."..they usually have some choice words for me or I am on their ignore list.
  8. that's a better answer...the trinity is the Heal/Tank /DPS Premade players would want a class where they can do 2 of those that's why Operatives (Heal/DPS) Jugs(DPStank) SIN(dpstank) Sniper is only 1 of these DPS, so that they are more limited in forming groups. Who was the next lowest? Marauders with 5?...welll Maurauders and Sniper (and their mirrors) are the only ACs spec'd for only 1 part of the trinity. see how easy that is to understand?
  9. yep it's "ALL COMMUNICATION"....build distribution discrepancies have no bearing on the issue at all....premade stacking their teams with OP FOTM Builds is "good for the game"...yeah "not quite"
  10. so you think that there are as many Snipers actively playing in PVP as Jugs, operatives, or Sins? I don't know what you are arguing over...earlier today in the other thread, i said when I get home I will screen cap group make-ups in PVP areas and paste it to show that there is not an even distribution accross ACs and that Premades and exploit FOTM rollers are playing with these OP builds. I came home and did exactly what I said I would do, and posted the info....and showed the time of the screen caps so It wasnt like I manipulated it, unless you think I photoshopped the whole thing......or that there was a match in Voidstar but it had 8 Snipers in it so i am purposefully hiding that screenshot or something. So I ask you: Is there a reason that there were 8 OPs, 8 Sins, & 7 Jugs when I just happen to log on tonight...or do you honestly think it was just coincidence and every AC where it should be and that people are not quitting certain ACs in favor of others?
  11. hey why don't you wiki: Confidence interval random samples are used for a reason and the knock about Ilum from that other putz.....It is a PVP area with 50's...these are active players in a PVP area...no dancing around or role playing at fleet.
  12. this is a divergence from my other thread where I successfully showed people how premades are ruining MMOs I finally got home from work and did a quick player search: The following are screen shots all taken consecutively showing group make-up in the individual LEVEL 50 PVP areas between 9:22-9:26 local time(PST) THE PIT 8 players 3 Powertechs, 2 operative, Sin, Merc, Sorcerer CIVIL WAR 15 players 4 JUGS, 2 Marauder, 2 Powertechs, 2 Operative, 2 Sorcerer, 2 Mercs, 1 SIN Novare Coast 10 players 4 SINs, 2 Marauder, 2 Operatives, 1 merc, 1 sorce Ilum 12 players 3 JUG, 2 SIN, 2 Operatives, 2 mercs, 2 sorcer, 1 marauder No population on Void star during this time on the surface you might not see much but there are 8 AC's per side a total of 45 players were randomly sampled as soon as I got home. evenly distributed we should expect ~5 of each AC based on 45 players instead the totals were: 8 Operatives 8 SINs 7 JUGs 6 Mercs 6 Sorcerers 5 Powertechs 5 Marauders ZERO SNIPERS the 8,8,7 of Operative hidden heal kiters, TankSins, and immortal JUGS..are the base of the Premades Now look at the PVP forum and tell me which of the AC's have threads about them being OP Please feel free to repeat this test...just type in a WZ + 50 and it will show you the ACs what's your sniper population, and where's the "Sniper's are OP" forum entry.
  13. yeah, I do... can be parsed balanced.... dmg/mitigation/heal....burst vs sustained (sustained higher over long run obviously) stuns about the same with just differ animations different conditions (slow/exhaustions/accuracy debuff/armor debuff) but the balance in PVP iis the counters, interupts, and other not neccessarily dmg'ing abilities, but more pvp skill negations, timed blocks, reversals. Tanks should have a "type" dmg mitigation ie +80% mitigation of Tech/force dmg, but in exchange takes +80% weapon dmg, but have the ability to quick switch the mitigation. Heals...small dots are instant, all other direct heals are interuptable....healers passively group heal through the dmg they do(so they have to stay active in fights and not just Kite/burst heal/kite burst heal) Debuffs of guards/shields...more about countering PvE abilities AOEs hit way harder than other skills...and no one just sits in them...(more about interrupting rotations) basically...how you counter someone else's abilities...determines how you do in PVP....not who has the best gear, not who's running unstoppable build duos. Kinda Like in GW1: Hit a tank with Scourge Healing...anyone healing the Tank would take a big chunk of dmg...which counters the trinity in PVP...easy things like this to keep group play in check. and for example of that Gunslingers 3 trees are as follows: MM tree would have the guard bubble remover Sab has harder hitting AOE spell to make people move DF has the scourge healing probe that goes onto enemy and when a heal is received shoots a lightning bolt to the healer dmging them for as much as they heal. which is more important to you....is your decision but they are unique yet equally destructive/constructive.
  14. no I haven't, seems boring...very boring. I'd be more for FPS even though I want the D&D lore story skill types and not just spraying bullets(even though that's even). My ideal game would be character creation based on a Briggs-Meyers type personality test where actual decisions and kill styles made during the leveling process decided your end-game skill sets. You couldn't decide in advance what you wanted to be and just adjust pts accordingly. So similar to a SWTOR/KOTOR decision based game just where those desicions actually create your character and his/her respective abilities.....no re-rolling
  15. so group min/maxers are recruiting all ACs equally then? Can't wait to get home and take screen shots....but of course that won't prove anything, and people will just make an excuse for it or say "so what! it's their choice" L2P

I expect people to play the AC tree that they are most comfortable with and spend money respec'in til they find their build...Not re-roll or play a class that is OP on purpose(check fleet populations for comparison....should be 12.5% of each AC....anything more or less than that shows bias....Saber envy or AC OP/UP...there's a reason for the bias. I do not want to chase viable ACs and utilize exploits to be a "player"....I want a game that is balanced(still don't know why people are against this) which each and every AC is equally viable. The Devs make mistakes, Premades are the people who abuse those mistakes....and therefore ruin the game.

  19. yeah, so you are saying that because I won't re-roll and sell my soul to exploit builds and team up with like minded min/maxers...it's on me....okay Women, there is no glass ceiling because you can have gender reassignment surgery Minorities, there is no racism, because you can have your skin bleached what a wonderful world No expectation that the Makers of the game, that I am Paying for, should produce something without exploits or hacks....nah..that's too much to ask.
  20. Think about what you just put down Tank/Sins and other DPSTanks are what exactly? They are manipulated exploits that the premades are specifically running to escalate imbalance. So 2 players Heals+DPS/Tank become 2.5 or 3 players....a premade group running 2 Jugs in DPS gear with 4 marauders and 2 Operheals become like 12 players versus 8 due to the imbalances exploited. That composition of 8 players is not = to a composition of 8 random classes (say 8 snipers)...showing that there is an imbalance within classes, synergies exploited, and premades purposefully do this which causes the problems of people getting fed up and quitting. As another poster said " it's human nature" to min/max....maybe so. I guess MMOs are relegated to the lowest common denominator....is that the trash exploiters or is the the trash development with no foresight into how build will be exploited? See the forums...am I the only one crying foul over certain builds? Why are we all picking on certain ACs?

  22. that's where I am at right now. I unsubbed and won't pvp any longer. I will finish my Gsling story line and then decide if I want see the story of a Trooper or Sage, then run that til due date. But this garbage PVPremade system won't get another min of my time.
  23. okay buddy...do me a favor 1. Go to fleet 2. Bring up player search 3. Type in "The Pit", "Civil war" or other WZ name 4. Screen cap the pic showing the advanced classes of the 50's in each 5. Post that screen shot I'll ask the question in advance of the Still Shot.....what happened to the classes that are under represented?
  24. ha, they saw PTS changes and started power leveling toons. I went from 48 to 64valor in a little over a week, full BM. all I do is play PVP 2-3 hour/night and haven't even finished past 2 of my story line....all that with a 50 hour/week job...so "Motivated"groups can easy roll FOTM premades.....plus they all ready had the toons 1/2 way leveled. They quit Jug/Marauder in January and rerolled Operatives,TM spammers, Bubble sorces....now they just jumped backed on to their original characters.
  25. I don't think people are dumb, but they like to play dumb. It's obvious that premades constitute ~100% of the hackers.
